I drove 30 minutes to their store in Lorton (used to be R&D stamp) to see if it was ready. It wasn't and one of the employees told me that I couldn't talk to the employee that actually made the stamps because he had a family emergency and wasn't there. One minute later here he comes out of the back and asks "what stamp"? Then they checked the email and "found" it. He told me it would be ready on Friday. I sent an employee over there on Friday to pick it up...not done yet. Called on Monday...fast signs office in Springfield has to email their people in Lorton and wait for a response. REALLY? AVOID THIS PLACE. I had been doing business with R&D for 20+ years and Fast Signs destroyed this business when they bought it. THIS IS WHAT THEIR LOBBY LOOKS LIKE. ***Responding to the owner's reply....tried to call me to notify me of what? You didn't even start the order for 4 weeks and then your MANAGER, who I called 4 times, didn't know and couldn't find out. Also checked with my manager and my employees and you guys never called.

I have been taking my…read morerandom, irregular embroidery needs to EmbroidMe of Springfield, VA, for years (at least 15 years). Today, I took my daughter's 3/4 zip fleece to have the year embroidered on the sleeve. Long story short, her coach from the previous two seasons had been getting the years (2020-2021, etc) stitched on the sleeve of this 3/4 zip. Her coach has moved on and like many program director turnovers, the new coach has decided on something different. However, my daughter still wants this season stitched on the sleeve. I told her I'd get it taken care of. Already my solid go-to, I take it to EmbroidMe. He took one look and said while he could do it, he was hesitant. His reasoning was sound. It wouldn't line up, he didn't have the same font, and the thread would be difficult to match exactly. I did recognize those issues before going in but I was willing to accept some minor deviation from the already established embroidery. The owner asked what school my daughter goes to and then immediately recommended another business in the area that he knew does a lot of business with my daughter's school. I cannot recommend this business highly enough. He is an honest and ethical business owner that makes recommendations based on his professional opinion, even when those recommendations take business away from his store. He cares more about the best possible outcome for the job and what's best for his customers than he does taking every job that walks in his door. He told me he could do it but that if I tried the other place he told me about, that they were probably the place that embroidered the initial two years on the fleece. Even though I already knew what to expect, I still walked away today impressed. I told him I was going to try the other place but if it wasn't them, I'd be back to his store. As long as EmbroidMe of Springfield, Virginia is in business, I will be his customer.
