4.5 stars. Came here again tonight 2 years later for the same awards banquet. Cocktail hour food was excellent. The wait staff was constantly walking around to bring us food. There was also a staff that came by the table and confirmed the main dish choice. Water and coke were left on each table. Penne vodka again is the winner! Wish I could just come and order the pasta. Everything else was very good. Wait staff was very attentive. Hopefully I can be back again one day. read more

I attended a birthday party. The food was very good and it was a beautiful atmosphere. Loved it.

First time here for me to attend the 33rd Annual Workers Compensation Bench Bar Conference. Pines Manor is in Edison, NJ, somewhat in the center of the state. All these catering halls are pretty much alike. The only things that distinguish them are the quality of the food and excellence of the service. They kept us supplied with nourishment all day (9-3:45), with bagels, danish and coffee early; hoagie buffet at lunch; and more caffeine to keep us awake after many hours of sitting and listening. Not the greatest spread, but ample and more than adequate. Our tables were kept clean and fresh coffee was brewed throughout the day. I had nothing to complain about. On top of that, it was good to see so many of my brothers and sisters of the bar attend after three years without such gatherings due to Covid. We all looked older, and hopefully wiser. Awards were given for exemplary service to our section of the bar and in recognition of outstanding collegiality. Catching up with friends was very satisfying, We all had stories to tell. Hanging out with our judges on an off day also has its benefits in getting to know them better. Educational, too, with updates on legislation, case law, and Long Haul Covid from a well known doctor. One of the most thoughtful get togethers in a long while and well worth our time and travel. read more

Went to a baby shower in a room for about 50 people. The food and service were well done. The shower had a cash bar, there's a convenient ATM downstairs. Their wifi worked well for sending pictures of the event. Would recommend for your event. read more

We held the 248th Marine Corps Birthday Ball at The Pines on 4 November benefiting Toys for Tots. This was the first time we held this event and we could not have done this without the help and support of Rose, Jennifer and the entire staff at the Pines. They made it all so easy! We had nothing but rave reviews from the attendees on the food, service and ambiance of the Pines. There was always a member of the staff nearby to address any hiccup. We can't say enough about the service and professionalism of everyone at the Pines! They are awesome! We will be back next year! read more

pines manor is my go to banquet facility. i have been using them for over 10 years, hosting family reunions, class reunions and retirement parties, i originally started working with vicki who has now been promoted, and recently i have had the pleasure to work with camille. all have been great to work with and are tremendously accommodating. our mater dei, johnny was absolutely amazing. the food is so delicious and plentiful. guest still mention it to me who have attended events from years ago that i have hosted. i will overwhelmingly recommend using their facility and ask for camille. i have recommended to friends in the fast and they were also pleased with the service and attention they received. read more

I hosted a baby shower for my daughter at the Pines. This is our 4th event here (several showers and a wedding reception) and the Pines never fails to disappoint. In the planning process, the sales department personnel were very helpful in answering all my questions and made sure all details were accounted for. The room where we had the shower was beautifully decorated and set up for the event. All the food and beverages were amazing, including the beverage station, hors d'oeuvres, and hot buffet. The servers were very attentive and happy to serve. The Pines goes above and beyond all of your expectations hosting an event. After conversing with the staff, all you need to do on the day of the event is show up and enjoy the party. read more

Postpartum Support International hosted a 3 day perinatal mental health training at The Pines Manor. Everyone we worked with did an excellent job accomodating our needs--food, audio, changing the room design all three days and providing a respite/lactaction room that had a small refrigerator for anyone needing that. Vicki, our banquet manager and Hadeer, Tommy and the banquet staff were wonderful and went out of the way to give us even better service than what I'd say we paid for. The food was fresh and good quality, bathrooms always kept clean (and we had a lot of women using them)! I highly recommend Pines Manor. read more

Havent been here in wayyy too long. My company had their Christmas party here. I wanted to go just once to check it out. They truly outdid themselves it was decorated beautifully. White and gold. Champagne waiting at the door with servers coming around with appetizers. Open bar for an hour although they stopped at 10 to 8 which was unfair. Lol. Drinks were heavily poured. After 8 the bar was open for drinks to pay for. The food was delicious. So many choices and nicely prepared. Just wish we were able to go back for seconds, which we weren't. The music was okay not much of a selection. We all got up and danced. The servers cleaned up our tables quickly and came around with coffee. While they set up the desserts. Was very disappointed in desserts. Not so many choices, but cakes were dry and icing overly sweet. So they should stick to food and not dessert. All in all had a wonderful time. I come here frequently for work meetings. The meetings are early in the day and all I have ever had was coffee and some of the danishes or bagels they offer. The atmosphere is definitely that of a catering hall. It is always clean. Even though I have been here quite often, my experience is limited to the morning hours. The servers keep the coffee pots full and there are tables a the back of the room with danishes and bagels. The servers keep the food well stocked. I have not had any direct contact with the servers since I grab my coffee and sit down. There is plenty of parking for any event they have there. There is a hotel across the street if you are attending a late night event there. read more

There was enough space for a DJ, photo booth and 20+ tables for the attendees. The food provided and served was a 4/5 but the servers and others staffs service was 5/5. He informed me that the food was excellent, the service was excellent, and the meeting location was excellent. On a personal note, dealing with Marisa was great. I know towards the end we reached a couple little snaffoos but we were able to rectify everything without a hitch. Overall we were very happy with the experience as whole. Unlike many wedding receptions, we welcomed children and we wanted to accomodate anyone with a special need. The children behaved amazing and the venue made sure they had kid friendly food. Thank you Pines Manor for practicing inclusion. We are super happy with how everything turned out. Some guests showed up while battling health issues and unpleasant diagnosis. We decided on silk flowers and flameless candles. We were mindful in accomodating our guests and our kids. Pines Manor did not dissapoint. I attended my wife's company dinner last night and the food was as bad as it was 20 years ago when I had the displeasure of attending a function back then. The appetizers tasted like they stopped at Acme Supermarket and grabbed some cheap frozen junk and nuked them. Really bad. The prime rib was so well done and grizzle filled it was like eating rubber with plastic running through it. How does s catering facility mess up prime rib its signature dish? Had a Hall of Fame Induction event here and really enjoyed myself. The venue is decent for even multiple events going on at the same time. Fairly elegant, yet not overbearing. Started the day off with a couple trips to the bar- common to multiple event rooms. Surprisingly a few shooters of Jameson didn't break the bank and were fairly modestly priced. Proceeded to the event ballroom where the wait staff was spot on with water, soda, coffee, and a few low key appetizers. When the buffet-style lunch was finalized, it was easy to grab a little of each item, head back, and enjoy. And that I did. Ace food. Wait staff continued to service throughout the event and brought out light desert items, refill drinks where applicable. Seems great for a wedding reception site. read more

We were at a 15th birthday where the coffee is served at 11:15 and then proceeds to kick out the guests BEFORE cake and dessert was served! Outrageous!! They messed this up and literally tell the DJ to stop the music and tell the guests to leave! When approached by guests if they can give us 30 more minutes to do the candles, he proceeds to be nasty and exclaim this is a Buisness. There's no compassion in business..wow! Just wow! Stay away! Went to an event and had a horrible experience. If I could give it zero stars I would... Appetizers were store bought from frozen aisle and served cold. The worst part was the time management. They kicked us out before serving dessert. They started serving coffee but then realized the time and kicked us out. Half of the table got coffee and the other didn't. We were rudely rushed out of the doors. The birthday family were mortified. My family and I were disgusted with the venue. We didn't even get birthday cake. I would NOT recommend this venue to anyone!!!! Not sure how they are still in business. read more

I typically don't write reviews but I have to say I've had an amazing experience at this location both times that I've use this location I worked with Sarah Mendoza and she's awesome!!! From start to finish Sarah is great to work with and she is always available to answer questions. The day of the event I always had everything that we discussed leading up to the event from silverware, napkins, decorations, and food items. If ever there was an issue which I don't ever recall having one someone is available the day of the event to help make sure that things run smoothly which is more than I could ask for. Waitstaff is also extremely nice and pleasant. Both times that I've used this event location I'm able to come in 2 to 3 hours before my event to so I can decorate the space since I do it all myself. The team and staff there is absolutely wonderful. I recommend this place to any person who is interested in having an event.... I happened to use this location for a bridal shower and baby shower. read more
