Our most favorite go to restaurant in Sandpoint for lunch or early dinner!! The menu is filled with fresh, homemade meals. Of course all the pies are to die for. Would give 10 stars if I could! Thanks Pie Hut! read more

The pie hut is my favorite local lunch spot in Sandpoint. Great sandwiches. Turkey cranberry, monte Cristo with huckleberry, Cuban and a great pot pie. Excellent daily homemade soups. Don't forget the pie. Huckleberry and other fruit pies. Great cream pies - chocolate peanut butter is my favorite. read more

I understand it is the first extremely busy weekend of tourist season. But I did not feel welcomed, and therefore will not return. The piece of peanut butter chocolate pie I purchased was a huge portion and fairly tasty for a good value of $3.75. BUT it left a sour taste in my mouth because I was forced to carry it out, due to the only available tables being closed. You just lost a party of 8 due to your inhospitable disposition. The overall vibe for me was you want to serve your local residents, not out of towners. read more

The Pie Hut - My half eaten, very generous portion of Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie for only $3.75. I forgot to photograph because I took it to go. - Bakeries Near Me - Sandpoint, Idaho

Wow wow wow! Everything's so good! The Vietnamese sandwich is the best! The pies oh man.... Can't wait to try them all! The service and staff is super friendly and fun, so is the clients! Have to check this place out! Thank You! read more

Ordered to go: Key Lime Pie Pumpkin Pie Key Lime Pie - I'm terribly sorry, but this was disgusting!! It tasted like lime jello. I suspect that they actually put jello in it. I had to throw it away. The bottom crust was not even baked - it was raw! Crust was thin, flat, raw, soggy, and yucky. It also had fabric fibers on the filling and on the crust sticking out of it. I'm really sorry for this review. Not worth the price of $3.50 per slice. It really, please, should not have been served!!!! Pumpkin Pie - the filling was fragrant and tasty - very traditional and that was good. Overall, this was tolerable, to say the least. The crust really was just as bad as the Key Lime Pie. Staff - was not friendly. She was folding away napkins and putting utensils in them when I made the order. She went to cut the pie slices of what I ordered and appeared reluctant to do so. What was worse for me was that she even touched my pies with her hand. She never washed her hand - who knows what else was she doing besides folding the napkins away. For the price of the pie, the quality of service, and quality of food you will have, you are better off at Panhandler Pies. See my review of 2 of their pies. read more

Very small location. Was there waiting at counter was acknowledged 1 time . Was still there 30 min with no service. So I walked out . Won't be back there anytime read more

Found this cute place on a drive through Sandpoint and decided to stop. My husband and I shared a piece of the huckleberry rhubarb with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The combination of huckleberry and rhubarb was delicious and the crust was nice and flaky. There was a good portion of fruit filling in the middle but I felt that the edges of crust could have been a little thicker. The staff person helping us was cordial but did not give us the friendly welcome I was hoping to get at a homemade pie place. read more

Try the Heather sandwich! It's da bomb! Also, strawberry Rhubarb pie - yummm!! Recommend the soup, sandwich and pie combo. read more

First time there Staff was rude. Covid or not - they should not speak rudely or be short with customers. They were 'too busy' to help a teenager who'd left something at the restaurant just 20 minutes earlier. The way the kid was treated made me upset and I will never return. Bad management and/or owner. read more

I love this spot and come here whenever I'm in Sandpoint! Great pasty & don't forget the pie!!!

About one month ago I went to the Pie Hut. I have always loved this place, but last week I called to order lunch and someone on the phone was quite rude. I looked on facebook for their menu prior to calling but the menu was the size of a credit card, and I was not able to see it. So I asked what kind of soup they had and what sandwiches they had. The lady was very rude and said we don't have time for this, we are in the middle of lunch. I called early at 11:30 am for that reason and that was the purpose of my call was to order lunch. I was so surprised at her response and was very disappointed. I did call back to let them know I would not be coming to pick up my half order (she never even let me finish my order) said she was too busy and I would have to come in.. I did call back to let them know that I was not coming back, because I did not want to stoop to their level and be rude by not coming to pick up my order. I will try again, and give this person the benefit of the doubt, (maybe they were having a bad day) but I will not come back if I am treated like that in the future. -- read more

Cash only in 2019 is a deal breaker for me. The pies have been hit and miss, when they're good, they are really good. But the prices dont match the quality enough in my opinion. read more

Very yummy pie. Great selection! Feels like you're walking into an elder person's living room when you're in there - small and feels cluttered, but very homey and cozey. Would definitely return. And the woman there, maybe the owner was welcoming and friendly. Thank you for a great pie. Yum! read more

What a horrible place. After the server placed an uncooked pile of slop in front of me, and I took one bite which literally made me gag (I'm not exaggerating), and I couldn't eat any more, the server came over packed full of attitude and accused me of having no taste. Then she left the disgusting mess on the table, wouldn't even take it away, and just walked away with a smirk on her face, as though she thoroughly enjoyed treating me like gulag prisoner instead of a customer. To add insult to injury, she even made us pay for the garbage. These people should be ashamed of themselves for their horrid food and even worse service. Visitors to Sandpoint would do well to avoid it. read more

Monte cristo sandwich, clam chowder, sour cream lime pie and raspberry-rhubarb pie...all fantastic! Chicken pot pie and beef pasty quite tasty! Cilantro black bean soup too salty, but has potential. Service was great. This is one hole-in-the- wall restaurant that is well on its way to becoming one of those must-stop dives. We drop by every time we come to Sandpoint. By the way, did I mention the pies are unbelievable? read more

I so wanted to like this place, I love sandwiches and pie. First visit I got straight Sriracha sauce instead of sriracha mayo and didn't realize it till my mouth was on fire! Second visit I got a week old piece of Lemon Merengue that had a gob of roasted marshmallow on top. And it doesn't help when I'm seeing gorgeous fresh lemon merengue brought out to other customers. read more

Delicious selection of fruit and cream pies. Eat in or take it out. Try them all... They all look good.

There isn't a single thing I can complain or critique about this place. It's casual, cozy, and homey with amazing food. Kind of tight seating, but as soon as you settle in you forget about that. The combos are definitely the way to go, you get to try a little bit of everything and trust me..that's what you want to do! We had custom sandwiches, French onion and split pea soup, and pie to finish. Everything was as fresh as it could be, and if you're having trouble deciding on the menu don't be afraid to ask the staff for a recommendation they are super friendly and helpful. Love this place, and I totally see why it's been around for as long as it has. read more

Our second day in a row having a meal here, so it seems appropriate to give them some props! For what it lacks in spaciousness, it more than makes up in charm and good eats. No need to limit yourself to dessert here when there are so many wonderful sandwiches, soups, and salad! Many sandwiches have the option of a half vs a whole sandwich, so you can leave room for a slice of one of the MANY delicious pie options! read more

Ok so i have been coming here for over 12 years. I vowed to try every single pie to determine my favorite. It was a tough challenge. Between trying to watch my weight , cholesterol issues, blood sugar issues, my wife yelling at me etc... I persevered. It was tough taking my life in my pie hole. But i did it today. I finished my personal favorite. The winner is....... huckleberry rhubarb I risked my life so try it. read more

The most amazing service. Truly a stunning place , an owner that loves what she does, it's obviously her passion. The crème brûlée pie is simply a piece of heaven in a plate. The Cuban sandwich is amazing. A must visit. I come to sandpoint 3 or 4 times a year and never ever miss this place. Must go. Say hi to heather :) read more

Food and service was excellent. Such a fun place to try many delicious and inventive pies. Great price as well. I had a half sandwich, pasta salad, and slice of pie all for under $10. I had the Huckleberry Monte Cristo, just melted in my mouth, honestly the best I have had. There were so many pies to choose from and I even got it warmed with a scoop of ice cream. Keep up the great work and making outstanding pies! read more

The Pie Hut - Huckleberry Monte Cristo. Best thing I have ever eaten. - Bakeries Near Me - Sandpoint, Idaho

Great comfort food (pot pies, quiche, split-pea soup, clam chowder) and very tasty sandwiches. The Vietnamese banh mi sandwich was among the best that I have ever had. The place is a little cramped and the service is slow, but it has a small town atmosphere so that more than makes up for any shortcomings. I would highly recommend this place to someone that has some time to spend and wants a good down-home lunch. read more

My partner and I loved this place. Lunch was great (I got a delicious chowder and sandwich combo). The pie was so good, we came back: lemon sour cream and raspberry rhubarb, and marionberry apple crumble and blueberry. All four were stellar. Add a cute setting and you got yourself a winner. PLUS...a really cute antique store is right next door-- you can even enter from the restaurant. I wish we had a place like this where we live. read more

We ran into The Pie Hut with 1 minute to spare. A couple of employees leaving the shop told us they were closed, but my husband asked the lady at the counter if there was time to buy a whole pie for our niece's 16th birthday. She said we could and even took the time to place a candle on top. We ended up buying 2 pies. Fantastic customer service. We will be back and tell everyone we know about your store! read more

Pies "looked" wonderful. Knew people who liked them, so tried two pies for party. SO disappointed! Bottom crust was like super soggy thin cardboard. Terrible! Complained, nicely, they laughed...what? Really? Rude-rude-rude.Typical Sandpoint. Ick, never go back, Safeway or Super One pies are much better. Sad huh? read more

Ate here for lunch and had the banh mi sandwich which was delicious. Also tried the pork rice soup that went very well with the sandwich and finished off my meals with a slice of peanut butter/chocolate cream pie. The pie was amazing! Definitely recommend saving room. Ok, was just going in for pie. First time in. We stop at antique store next door every time we are in town but never hungry enough to eat anything. Today we went for pie, but after smelling more than pie found out she has quite a menu. Kathy had the mushroom quiche with red pepper cheese soup. Awesome. I had ham and bacon quiche with pesto pasta salad. She said that real men do eat quiche. More awesome! Strawberry peach and layer chocolate peanut butter pie's. Duuuuude you need to stop here for lunch. read more

The idea behind this place is really what makes it, the service was okay although I didn't feel super welcome at first. The beef and barley soup was tasty and a good portion but the "club" wasn't as described on the menu. It was SUPER crunchy bread and came out just as a normal half sandwich. The pie was good but not the best I've ever had. It is cash only so make sure to stop at the atm across the street. Overall I'd say it's a little rough around the edges. read more

2 Stars for rudeness alone. Pie was good, had a really good piece of Chocolate Pecan and Huckleberry Rhubarb. The taste of the pie does not make up for the lack of service . Did not feel welcome at all ! If that weren't enough I will not return simply because the kitchen staff was loudly talking in an ignorant and narrow minded way about people different than themselves . I like to support local business, but not this one ! read more

Super friendly staff, really good sandwiches. I had the Cuban and it was amazing! Definitely would recommend to a friend.

If you're not a local, don't bother coming in. You are not welcome. If you like pie, then you can get pie of the same quality from the freezer section at Safeway down the street. Incredibly rude, threw our food down on our table, and did not talk to us except for take the order and deliver the bill. Go to Panhandler Pie down the street. They're wonderful and their foods way better. I wish I could have rated it lower. read more
