Also very patient and sensitive to my needs as I am being seen for my wrist and for balance. Dr Kim is trained in Physical Therapy and acupuncture. His treatment has helped with my pains and has helped me healed faster. In addition, the exercises he assists with are helpful. Dr. Robert Morea, the owner, along with his incredible dedicated staff, all work together to customize the best therapy needed for each patient. they overcharged my mom's copay, initially acknowledged the overcharge, but when she called for a refund they requested the EOB to verify the charges. which is fine, as a company you should do your due diligence. however, the accounts lady was really rude about it and then instead of emailing her manager, she emailed my mom saying "OMG the lady called again wth, i told her to wait for your call , she was ready to call you LOL" it's one thing to make an overcharge refund difficult for the sake of due diligence, but you really don't have to be rude and condescending about it. the error was on YOUR end, not the paying customer, who's rightfully owed a refund. read more

When I started seeing Robert at The Physical Therapy doctor, I was suffering from significant and chronic TMJ, neck and shoulder pain following a minor car accident. After 6 months the pain was getting worse and none of the previously successful treatments were working. This was affecting all aspects of my life. This was the third Physical Therapy clinic I tried after the first 2 failed miserably to achieve relief for my Lower back/right Hip problem. I had driven by many times and thought to give them a try. Highly professional staff and efficient as well. I attended every visit not canceling once, diligently doing the stretches/exercises given to me to complete at home along with the sessions. I have been going to The Physical Therapy Doctor for treatment for over a period of 10 months due to a number of ailments originally stemming from a severely strained ankle, general weakness in my legs and a sore tennis elbow. Both Robert, the owner, and his team of physical therapists and staff members are very proficient in all aspects of their work and find the location next to the post office an inviting place to spend while receiving treatments. Although some patients appear to choose one physical therapist exclusively, I tend to make appointments interchangeably with Robert or the other physical therapists based on availability of appointment times since I feel confident and comfortable with everyone of his team. I have experienced a complete return of function to my ankle, notice improvement in the strength of my legs and after a very complex left arm issue, have a major reduction in the pain and discomfort I am feeling in my elbow. The interaction among patients, the front desk, staff and team of physical therapists is terrific. The perception is they all get along with each other and are very pleasant to the patients in their large facility (b/t/w, I started to receive my treatment after they moved to the Bay Terrace Shopping Center, upper level from Bell Blvd and 212th Street). The facility also has a great sound system and music that facilitates the exercises I do. The facility is modern, bright, airy, extremely clean and they play a good variety of background tunes. As an artist, environment is important to me as I am/will be coming here 2/3x's a week for quite a few weeks. Everyone from the front desk staff to the PT assistants are very welcoming and on point. I've been to quite a few other physical therapist practices for a variety of issues. Sometimes I've had a decent therapist but then the assistants aren't great. At The PT Doctor you have both. The assistants are knowledgeable, kind and very attentive. My therapist, Dr. Melwin Fernandez made me feel immediately at ease with his chill vibe, compassion, and humor. His knowledge and dedication to the profession is very apparent as he explains the reasoning behind his treatment plan. He frequently checks in with me, making sure I'm comfortable with the exercises, the approach or if I have any questions. From the very first session I Immediately felt improvement in my pain level as well as strength. Something I haven't found at any of the prior places I've been to, is their helpful printed cards with photos on a ring they give you with your home exercises which makes it easy to remember what you should do. I went here because it is in my neighborhood and parking is easy. I've been to physical therapy places twice before in my life and I have to say that this place is the best I've ever experienced. The staff is polite and professional and they really spend time with you. I had a problem with my right shoulder and even though the repetitive exercises seemed a bit senseless, to my surprise, after 4 weeks I could remove a t-shirt over my head without pain! I saw Dr. Robert Morea for A.A.T. I battle several autoimmune diseases and suffered from chronic neck and shoulder pain/tightness. It triggered tension headaches, migraines, and TMJ to the point where I was bedridden. I also had unexplainable numbness and tingling throughout my body, severe joint aches, and a huge list of other symptoms. They are either gone or they have improved dramatically after A.A.T. I've tried so many other types of treatments and none of them worked as well or as quickly as this. It also helped with my stress levels and past traumas. The thing that I noticed the most was that I was able to drive without any anxiety or fears. (I was traumatized from car accidents when I was young and experienced a lot of tingling in my face and all throughout my body every time I got in the car.) After just the first session, I was much more relaxed. It even helped me to sleep better. I was shocked. By the third session, I saw a huge improvement on my overall health. The tightness/pain went away and I was no longer nauseous. I cannot tell you how much Dr. Morea and A.A.T. has helped me and improved my quality of life. If you are experiencing any pain or have a bunch of symptoms that just never seem to go away, I highly recommend this treatment. I believe it will help you treat the root cause of your symptoms. It will give you long lasting results and not only offer temporary relief like some medications do. (Ask Donna about A.A.T. if you're unsure. She is so sweet, I love her.) When I first met Dr. Robert Morea, I was extremely impressed with him as he explained the process that I was about to embark upon and completely answered all of my questions. His team of Physical Therapists, led by Dr. Nikki Rahaman, my day to day therapist, is kind, caring, knowledgeable and accommodating. When Nikki is unavailable due to scheduling, I know that I am still in great hands (no pun intended) with her fellow PT's, Marichu, Marjorie, Michael, Joshua and, of course Dr. Morea. Additionally, the Physical Therapy Aides, Pablo, Tyler, Katherine and Roen are exceptional as well. They are all very considerate and always inquire about my health and disposition with each visit. The administrative staff in the reception area are second to none too. Adriana, Donna, Aartie and Linda are all very warm, friendly and courteous upon my entry into the office. They have assisted me numerous times with insurance coverage, billing and appointment issues and continue to make me feel at ease when I am there.
