I did like that there is a bathroom right in the hall so my son didn't have to go far. Although food and drinks were located at one end of the hall and once we got to our seats it was hard to get back over there once the place filled up with people. They had meet and greets with some of the performers and they just had them at tables along the walls. You could pay right there for a picture or autograph. Wrestling is more my husbands thing, but even I really enjoyed the show. Although the chandeliers above the ring made me nervous! Lol.

Definitely wasn't expecting it to look as awesome as it did. The crazy organ pipes at the back of the stage made a wonderful backdrop for all the photos I snuck with my cell phone! It's nice because it's big but not huge. It feels like you could probably have a good view no matter where you are and the acoustics are fantastic. A good mid-sized venue. They don't have a ton of events or shows there but there have been some impressive acts that have come through recently (most notably Gotye and Phoenix within the last year and half and the Killers and Russell Brand in the past). Some of the feedback on here has centered around the seats being small and cramped but I have a bad back and long legs and I felt okay tonight? But then again I was also REALLY into the lecture so maybe I just didn't notice. I was also in the second row and it may be tighter in rows further back? I'm not sure. But I thought it was ok. Overall a great auditorium that I hope to catch a show at again in the future.

Accoustics are very good here, too. On the downside, the seating is small and cramped. It was built to pack in a lot of people, and doesn't have a lot of leg room for anyone over about 5'6". On the whole, though, if you get a chance to see an event here, go for it. It's a truly beautiful venue.

2026-06-28. Tec-troit, Detroit…read more This year marks Tec-troit's 16th year with its humble beginnings back in 2011. The event has always been free and open to people of all ages. A space and venue for all tech-heads to come out and experience live performances as musicians showcase their talents. Today was the last day of the 3-day festival for 2026. While the event is open to all ages, the venue is mature in theme and children MUST be accompanied by an adult. No dress code in effect, but make sure you dress appropriately for the weather as it is an outdoor venue with no sheltered spaces. The do serve alcohol using a wrist band policy, and you need to have valid ID to get a wristband. All participants are screened via hand held metal detectors and Detroit's finest are also on the scene to ensure a safe environment for all. Food trucks are also on site should anyone get the munchies. All food is made to order and this year featured stone-oven pizza, South American fare, and a Hershey's ice cream wagon to name a few. There is a kiddie corner section away from the alcoved-stages in a grassy area. A picnic table with games and pavement chalk are available in addition to jumbo Jenga blocks, cornhole, and a writing wall. You CANNOT leave your children unattended here. It's a kids area, not a baby sitter. There is no attendant, so if you do bring little ones, you need to take them with you when you visit the stages. It will be a good idea to get them some noise cancelling headphones as the beats can get quite loud by the stages. Rest room facilities are in the form of port-a-potties secludedly lined up near the entrance and away from the venues and the kids area. There is plenty of free parking and the venue is located at 1151 Taylor St. (The Container Globe). It's a 3-day event and artists and vendors vary from year to year. Barrier free with an elevator, and close parking. The room is spacious, has seating for 250, mounted projectors and screens for video. Plenty of natural lighting. Super clean restrooms and filled with unique artwork. I highly recommend for events both large and small as it can be set up as a half event and half lecture hall, including podium with microphone and sound system. . Great staff and outside catering is permitted.
