FOOD: Food tasted good. I had the mixed ceviche, excellent seasoning with plenty of lime juice and spiciness. Also enjoyed the saltado de pescado, tasted good too. Unfortunately, the portions in this place are minimal, they are about half of what you would get at competing Peruvian restaurants. Also, about half of the advertized desserts were not available. The bavarois was probably the best I've ever had. SERVICE: Fast and efficient. VALUE: Definetely expensive for the amount of food served. Here they have great Peruvian food. I recommend you chaufa, lomo saltado(but I'll like with original french fries), rice with shrimps, ceviche, jalea, good tallarines verdes(with bistec), and pollo a la brasa it's ok. Also like dessert alfajores and our lúcuma ice cream...yummy. read more

Very nice and cozy place, the Peruvian variety dishes here are great. The waitresses are friendly and helpful. The owner of the place comes up to the clients and asks if everything went well. I really would recommend this restaurant for what it offers overall. read more

This is an excellent little place for a week night or take away. The tacu tacu is great. The rotisserie chicken is fantastic especially with the green spicy sauce. The "best" thing about the restaurant is the wine list. It consists 4 selections- red, white, and reserve white and reserve red. I read the reviews about how busy this place gets and was surprised that it was empty when we arrived at about 1pm. My wife a Peruvian has been away from home and her native food for several months. She was excited and I really wanted her to have a great experience, plus she was also hungry. She of course ordered Ceviche and Lomo Saltado and I had the Roasted chicken that the reviews said was the house specialty. When the courses arrived they looked fine enough on the plate but that was the high point. My chicken an aroma as if it was from a previous day and tasted the same. The Ceviche has too much lemon that over cooked the fish and the Lomo was the best of the three but not the beat I've ever tasted. We live part year in LIMA and part in the US and we've had great, bad and ugly Peruvian food in both places and the Peruvian Kitchen isn't even close to the top of the list. Not my best experience with Peruvian food. The chicken was somewhat ok but the sides didn't please me. I didn't like the service, even though the food was prepared really fast. We order a sparkling water and it was completely flat when I told the waiter about it she simply said it is saying it's sparkling on the bootle. Well, it did say but it was flat. She could easily got us another or take it out of the check. I'm not hard to please when it comes to most types of cuisine and I simply love Peruvian food however I did not like this place for it. I walked in and saw Christmas/ New Years decorations hanging from the ceiling and no toilet paper in the bathroom. I ordered water that never got refilled, but was delighted by the rotisserie chicken here. If you're going to come here for great service I highly discourage it, but the chicken is worth the disappointment. read more

Typical hole in the wall spot. Never would have thought to come here if it weren't for my Peruvian girlfriend. The food was very good I had the Lomo Saltado and it was delicious. Service was decent and the food came out pretty fast. They have a great variety of traditional Peruvian entrees, appetizers, and drinks. read more

This place has gone downhill a little.. it is not what it used to be... Im not sure if is under new management or not but the food isnt as fresh as it used to be before. The rice has a different taste to it and when I came today ordered a whole chicken they told me that they could only serve me half or quarter chicken only. I found it to be super odd. The chicken still taste awesome but not as amazing as it used to before.. Make sure you ask for all the sauces because if you dont they will forget. Other than that I do reccomend... My friends and I are visiting from Los Angeles and we we're craving Peruvian food. We found this little hole in the wall and we absolutely loved it! Although i only ordered the most typical dish which is Lomo Saltado, but it was so tasty, it even put my local Peruvian restaurants back at home to shame! The broth is so good specially when you mix it with the rice! We all ordered different things and we all agreed that the broth makes it that much better! The quality and portions are excellent, however; stay away from any dish where they use oil, which is of very low quality and your stomach will be letting you know fast. If you're not sure, ask first. Stick with the soups, ceviches, rotisserie chicken and poached fish. read more

The food here is excellent, however you will need to pay a hefty price for it that will leave you feeling dissatisfied. We ended up paying about $150 for four people and we did not order that much food. The waitress was also rude when she overcharged us "by accident" and we asked her to fix it.
