This facility is the worst! Do not allow your loved one to go here. If your loved on is here,…read moreplease have them transferred. My mother was transferred here and after 12 days and us noticing her heath declining and staff not checking vitals, running labs or the physician ever seeing her, we called 911 and had her taken to an ER. My mom was admitted to the ICU for 2 weeks before being downgraded to a medical floor. The ER told us she was sick and kept saying they couldn't believe she came to them like this from a facility. We told them she was at Forest Ridge and they said "that place is awful" This place was negligent! My mother passed away a few weeks later. I reported this place to the state and they were very familiar with it. This place has had many investigations and fines and is still allowed to stay open. An investigation was opened form my complaint and many issues were noted, fines given and that's all that happens. They found that my mom was not the only one the physician did not and was behind in seeing many other patients as well. They filed bankruptcy, were sold and are now filing bankruptcy again. Rehab/SNF are not held to a standard and it's the patients who pay for it. This needs to get attention and be changed. The elderly can't and don't always have a voice or family to advocate for them. This is not acceptable!

Staff was about 50/50. Food was awful. Loved one begged to get him out of this place ASAP. If your loved one must go here, make sure you check on things daily. Not recommended.

My experience a year or so ago after serious neck surgery: very poor service, also not clean. I…read moreoften waited for hours for pain medicine, with the "call" light on, people passing back and forth, not paying any attention. I was in very serious pain, even called out several times from my bed asking for help. No one ever came to wipe down the incision with antibacterial wipes, like they did in the hospital. I got out of there as soon as I could use a walker, but not soon enough. Arriving at home, a friend who is a nurse looked at the incision and told me it was infected. Back to the hospital, the infection is MRSA. A second surgery, open up the incision, scrape out all the infected tissue, do some minor plastic surgery. Another week in the hospital, then my wife and I managed a pick line for six weeks, infusing antibiotics directly into the upper chamber of the heart. A year more of serious oral antibiotics. This place is just a warehouse, interested in making money, not providing a care service.

They charge $6,100 a month and feed us food you'd expect too see at a soup kitchen. I laid 2 days in my own blood because they had more important things to do. This place should never have gotten their license back. I can't sit by and watch this happen to other people. I'm disabled now and when I get out, I will have nothing to do but make sure people know how horrible this place is. I'll be filing suit and complaints with every agency related to medicine and nursing. Once again they are 3 hours late with my medication. I repeat DON"T send anyone you love here. Imagine having trouble breathing or chest pain or a stroke or fall and it takes 2 hours for someone to answer your call light.....

Cassandra in particular was the saving grace for my last, and final, experience at this clinic. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt empowered to make informed decisions about my toddler's healthcare choices, and it meant a lot for a worried and very tired mom. That said, Heather Luther, an ARNP who barged into our room unannounced to aggressively demand I agree to an x-ray before we were even seen or that we could simply leave, made sure our visit would be the last. I don't know where in her education she learned that strong-arming expensive and medically unnecessary imaging is beneficial for patients, but she was a downright bully. I have never felt so incapable to be an advocate for my child, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. Her reasoning for ordering imaging WITHOUT HAVING EVEN SEEN MY SON was apparently based on inaccurate notes from another nurse. You know how that could have been prevented? By actually seeing the patient who's come to urgent care for an exam, or I don't know, perhaps just coming into the room like a normal human being and having a conversation. Regardless, it was disgusting and shameful treatment. My biggest fear is that she treats the staff around/under her worse than she treats people paying for treatment.

I started to take off my shoe and sock to show him my ankle I had not injured it and I don't have diabetes. It was just my right ankle and my right foot. Before I could get my sock off he walked out of the room saying maybe you kicked your dog too hard. And he was gone. I was checked for a blood clot and given an x-ray when I got my discharge papers I was given four pages on opioid addiction. I was not trying to get pain medication I was concerned about my ankle being that it was just the one. I set my car and cried after I was discharged. It was really really painful.
