Unfortunately, it was the last day they are open while we were in town (they are only open a few days a week) so we couldn't go again, or we absolutely would have. Since I love cupcakes and had some time to kill, I decided to walk in. As I opened the door, I walked into a delicious, sweet smell of cupcakes. I reached the counter and saw the different cupcakes. After staring for a good 10 minutes, I decided on the strawberry daiquiri. The cake was soft with bits of strawberries. The frosting wasn't too sweet and went perfect with the cake. It was probably one of the best cupcakes I ever had. I was a bit disappointed that I had to limit myself to one cupcake (I've been eating since the cruise started). They did have a mini cupcake sampler set that had a lot of their flavors. It also looks like they do cakes too. It was a very cute shop with fun and adorable decoration. A welcome addition to the area, the owners have opened up a small bake shop where they make and sell small batch sourdough breads, treats and pizza dough. In addition, you can purchase hand made and dyed linens that the owner makes. They've got sheep and produce their own fibres so it's a really great spot that's clearly going to grow. You may have seen them at the Clarence market as their shop hours are currently incredibly limited. When I say they sell out fast, I'm talking 15 mins fast! Hours are 11-5 twice a week but you're often out of luck if you arrive by noon so get there BEFORE opening if you want some amazing wood-fired bread!

Calling them dinner rolls is a misrepresentation, though. They resembled swedish cinnamon buns with a syrup on top. Their moderate level of sweetness was a good thing to me. You could enjoy them with coffee, but coffee isn't obligatory to cut the sweet. The doughnut was a doughnut. Considering this is a pretty remote location and Kelly's has been operating for 40 years, they definitely are doing something right. Service was pleasant and efficient, and appreciated.
