This is a solid 5-star in my mind. The people working were super nice and helpful. The food is both unique and delicious (love the falafel wrap with tzatziki... and the gluten free brownies). And, the coffee is fantastic -- not too sweet and not bitter. They know their craft. I sat here for a while and worked. The atmosphere is buzzing with activity but not too loud. A lot of people were in the shop to enjoy food, conversations, and simply hang out for the afternoon. It seems like a popular university haunt. The location was easy to get too. I had no issues finding parking (on a weekend) or a spot to sit (at 3pm). Overall, another pleasant surprise in Lethbridge.

Wow! On the road again and actually stumbled upon something super great in downtown Lethbridge! The Penny Coffee House has something for everyone including the vegans and the celiacs! I had the falafel wrap with beets on the side and a double ginger snap cookie sandwich with cream cheese butter cream inside - so yummy!!! Everything is made fresh and it seems they have lots of daily specials.

Special fresh ham sandwich with side pasta salad. Sandwiches and the pasta salad are a must at the penny!

A cozy and comfy atmosphere with great coffee and great food. What's not to love?! They bake their own bread too! Delicious.

Garrett's Breakfasty Quesadilla with a side of sour cream and salsa with a large iced mocha.

A huge shoutout to the amazing staff who did everything to make my remote ordering experience a…read moresuccess!! I highly recommend them for their excellent service and would rate them 6/5 if I could! Before ordering through Skip the Dishes their extremely popular tarts which often sell out, I emailed the team and they made sure that the baker would keep the 3 flavors aside for me. When the Skip driver picked up and delivered the wrong order (scone & coffee misto) Amber called me to let me know that my order was still with them. I got the refund from Skip and replaced my order. My friend recieved the order and loved the little personal touch on the bag. Here's a quick review of each item as described by my friend: - Americano Misto with Oat Milk & Vanilla: deliciously creamy - Aged cheddar scone: warm this up in the oven and it'll be crispy on the outside with oozy cheese on the inside! - Carrot cake: smothered in cream cheese icing and chopped walnuts with pineapple chunks inside makes for a hearty home made cake like one's grandma would make. - Lemon tart: rich lemon filling within a very yummy buttery and crunchy butter biscuit crust balanced by the sweetness of the meringue. - White chocolate tart: firm filling that melts in your mouth with raspberry jam. - Green tea tart: has white chocolate drops (hearts) and is addictive--you'll want to add one more in your order. :) If you're looking for a treat, head on over to Bread Milk and Honey, order anything on the dessert menu and down it with a lovely coffee, tea or other drinks!
