Waste of money. The latte was basically scalded milk with no flavor. Poor service from staff. And expensive!

A huge shoutout to the amazing staff who did everything to make my remote ordering experience a…read moresuccess!! I highly recommend them for their excellent service and would rate them 6/5 if I could! Before ordering through Skip the Dishes their extremely popular tarts which often sell out, I emailed the team and they made sure that the baker would keep the 3 flavors aside for me. When the Skip driver picked up and delivered the wrong order (scone & coffee misto) Amber called me to let me know that my order was still with them. I got the refund from Skip and replaced my order. My friend recieved the order and loved the little personal touch on the bag. Here's a quick review of each item as described by my friend: - Americano Misto with Oat Milk & Vanilla: deliciously creamy - Aged cheddar scone: warm this up in the oven and it'll be crispy on the outside with oozy cheese on the inside! - Carrot cake: smothered in cream cheese icing and chopped walnuts with pineapple chunks inside makes for a hearty home made cake like one's grandma would make. - Lemon tart: rich lemon filling within a very yummy buttery and crunchy butter biscuit crust balanced by the sweetness of the meringue. - White chocolate tart: firm filling that melts in your mouth with raspberry jam. - Green tea tart: has white chocolate drops (hearts) and is addictive--you'll want to add one more in your order. :) If you're looking for a treat, head on over to Bread Milk and Honey, order anything on the dessert menu and down it with a lovely coffee, tea or other drinks!

I found this business a real disappointment. They are not pretending to be a specialty coffee…read moreroaster but they could learn a few tricks from the Speciality Coffee Association, an organization I was a member of during my competition judging years. My giving of only two points is carefully thought out with the following reasons given: 1. They are not wheelchair accessible, which precludes me visiting on my own. 2. No light roast coffee. I was told they were out of Yrgacheffe. They have many beans that would shine with a light roast, like the Harrar Longberry, which I will comment on lower down. Think outside the box instead of pigeon holing yourself into routines. 3. They do not sell a traditional cappuccino in a 6 oz cup that goes way back to the dawn of the beverage in the early 20th Century in Italy. An 8oz produces a drink with not enough coffee to milk ratio. 4. It may be just an out of stock issue, however with no product shortages in the market, the selection of handgrinders is basic entry level at best. Nothing with high carbon stainless conical burrs could be found, just lots of ceramic porlex which is a good grinder but far far from being great. For a few dollars more, a Timemore Chestnut will give a much superior and even grind. 5. One pound bags are too big for the single coffee drinker, which is their smallest available purchase, even though the beans are bulk, which in itself is disappointing. An opened bag of freshly roasted coffee has peak quality life of 5 to 7 days. One pound is a lot of coffee to consume in those time constraints. Offer smaller too, such as 1/2 pound, the industry standard sample order size. 6. I asked when the beans were roasted. I was told usually no more than two weeks ago. OMG, beans in the open air for two weeks would be way beyond their prime. If all you sell is one pound bags, bag the coffee when it cools after roasting. They have bags with CO2 escape valves. In the bag it will last for months. In the open air, 7 days max. 7. The medium roasted Harrar Longberry was roasted darker than what would be considered a full medium roast. Close to half of the beans had reached the second crack, thereby taking them out of the medium category. A full medium, using the Speciality Coffee Association and Q Grading standards, is moments before the second crack with no to just a hint of oil on the bean. This bean was medium dark. At this level of roast, the nuances of the legendary Harrar have disappeared. The winey fruity flavour profile which has coffee aficionados addicted were gone, roasted out. I find it hard to understand why this is considered Lethbridge's finest coffee shope. I cringe at the thought of what I am going to experience elsewhere in town.

By far the best coffee in town. Great people, great coffee, what more could you ask for…read more Also, I love the smell there :)

Horrible, horrible company!!! Ordered some Asian Family plum sauce and was sent a completely…read moredifferent product from what was imaged on their website. When I enquired, I was told it was not their responsibility if the supplier sends them different products, that they have over 5000 items and cannot possibly keep track if the supplier sends something other than what they ordered. I said I did not want this product that I had paid $35 plus $20 in shipping and they advised that I could return it but would have to cover the cost of returning the products myself. I live in Ontario and they shipped from their Alberta location. /beyond that 2 of the bottles had been damaged in transit - or packed and shipped already damaged - and the sauce was leaked inside the shipping box. When I sent a photo of the item from their website and a photo of the product I received, they told me it was the same thing!! I see positive reviews from people who were in Lethbridge and shopped in their physical store so I actually believe they purposefully scam online shoppers and then refuse any responsibility. They should be fined and shut down for unlawful business practices!!!

Horrible customer service. I placed a large online order, only to receive a poorly packed box with…read moredamaged and expired items. When I called to complain, I was told I would be refunded. Later, when following up by email, they refused to refund and told me there is nothing wrong with selling expired food. When I told them I would have to make a report with my credit card company, they told me I that was threatening. I would think stealing your customers money is far more threatening behaviour. I would recommend that everyone submit reports to the Canada Food Inspection Agency. They will close the business down if enough people report the selling of expired goods. Don't risk buying from Umami Shop.
