I've been going to Paula for something like 8 years now and back then she was at Pixie Salon off of 32nd. I like The Parlour which she's been at for two years or so now. This place is clean and decorated with cute art on the walls. Paula is the best when it comes to cuts and color. She's an absolute genius and stays up with the current trends and styles. I've been going to Missy at the Parlour for over 10 years. I get compliments on my hair cut and color (it's not natural, eeek! ) almost daily. Most of my friends and family go to Missy as well, and everyone loves their hair. Missy is great at suggesting new things in terms of style and color and yet I never feel pushed into doing anything. Beyond that, I love the atmosphere: just the right amount of trashiness in the magazines (People, US, but not National Enquirer), great music, fun people and a serene and unique look. Brianna is the greatest at doing my hair. I only allow her to cut it. My hair is super curly and I get compliments on the cut and color all the time. I love having her do my hair at The Parlour, everyone is so nice and they always offer me a glass of wine, tea, water or a beer upon arrival. Brianna Barnes does my hair and I cannot say enough good things about her. Not only is she such a sweet person and so easy to spend an hour and a half with with but she is so great at doing my hair. Let me try and summarize. I have very straight blonde hair with very little body, I have gone to SO many stylist and nothing ever looked great. Bri is able to cut my hair in way that gives me natural body and I finally get compliments on my hair. I also have always been weary of getting my hair colored or highlighted because I'm horrible at hair maintenance. Bri assured me that she knew a technique that would give me the highlights I wanted but would grow out naturally so I wouldn't have to worry so much about maintenance and I have never been happier with my color! She is also really great at men's haircuts, I sent my fiancé to her and it looked good right away which is never the case and grew out looking just as a good! I've now sent many friends her way and the report back to me is that she knows how to cut curly hair (probably because that is what her hair is like!) and she also can do Asian hair which was a big deal to a few friends of mine.
