However have not been for 2 years (moved up to Bundaberg) and it wasn't until a recent early Christmas catch-up with family that prompted this review. Prices we had looked at online were higher on the menu than what we had seen advertised. Had to wait for almost an hour for our steaks (lunch sitting, almost empty with only 3 other tables being seated), our jug of coke seemed very watered down. Someone ordered the loaded potato skins and when it arrived there was only 4 and at a price of around $18 i think that's a bit rich. One of our salads ended up with sparkles from a children's desert in it, we were told we would receive 25% off the meal which didn't end up happening. One of our group ordered a prime rib cooked medium rare, but after 45mins was told that he could only have one medium rare if he did not want one of the 18hr slow cooked steaks. Strange since on their menu it states that they are best served medium rare? On top of this, gravy used to be included with your meal along with 2 sides (salad and fries/mash). Now it is $2.95 on top of the cost of the meal. I don't know if this restaurant has changed hands in the last few years but I know I will not be returning as the quality has bottomed out.

Overall would recommend this restaurant for any age group, with a particular emphasis on family friendly dining options. Very causal setting, affordable, with a rustic homely vibe. Curly Fries are too die for and is what Hog's Breath is renowned for. If you purchase a membership you will receive 25% off for life, which is a fantastic discount for those that are regular diners.

I decided to book because we wanted to get in early so as to be home early. I booked a table for 6pm. When we arrived the place was almost full. But that was ok because I had booked. We stood in the middle of the bistro waiting to be directed to our table, but there was nobody around. A young waiter eventually came to us and I told him we had a booked for 3. He eventually found our booking, but the table had been taken by somebody else. We eventually were shoved into the very far corner, which did have a reserve sign on it, so we must have got someone else's reserved table. We then ordered our meals and a round of drinks through the app. It took so long to get our drinks, so we went to the bar and got them ourselves. The food took almost a hour to arrive. There were not enough staff. Not enough waiters. Not enough bar staff. Not enough kitchen staff. The whole idea of booking was to get in early and get home early. I visited the HP about a month of so ago with a group of workmates. We sat in the bistro bar area. The bar service was extremely slow that night also. There was one lady whose English was very poor and a young lad who said it was his first night. Patrons were waiting a long time that night and were getting quite agitated. That night I put it down to teething problems with the new reno. But a month and a half later ... and staff issues are still apparent.

I have dined at the club twice now, and both times enjoyed an above average leagues club experience. The menu at Drysdales Brasserie while not expansive, offers low-cost options that cover the standard "pub grub" you would expect. Pick up a roast complete with vegetables, a "seafood platter" or a steak sandwich here with no fuss. On my most recent trip I selected the Chicken Wrap. It was toasted, and featured spring onion, semi-dried tomatoes and lots of cheese among the large amount of chicken. It was very flavorsome with fresh ingredients and came with a half plate of chips and a bottle of softdrink or water of your choice (375ml) for just $12.50. My colleagues opted for the Chicken and Lamb Sliders, presented in a similar meal with chips and a drink. They all advised the burgers were tasty, fresh and the chips were just as they should be. We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor area which was deserted during our visit, although be mindful of displaying the various table numbers you will be given when you order. We all mused that the traditional "beeper" might have been a better arrangement in a place this size. The Easts Leagues Club won't change your world, but it will offer a reasonably priced meal with clean surroundings and all of the amenities you might want from a club. Just beware the median age is approximately 95 years old.
