    Queen Bed

It's been nearly a decade, but I remember when The Parc Hotel (纽约安侨酒店) was built and subsequently became the hot new thing in Flushing. It marked a new era of hospitality for this part of Queens, which along with the rest of the borough saw lots of hotels built in the same time span. Thanks, tourism. I've become acquainted with The Parc by virtue of their their rooftop (#1) and the restaurant downstairs (#2) but never stayed. Most New Yorkers know their surroundings, but never hotels. Now that I'm officially a visitor, I can also say I've been a hotel guest during my travels back to NYC. The location of the hotel is perfectly central to downtown Flushing. It's roughly two blocks to the subway, or about a 5 minute walk to public transit. There is loads of shopping across the street at The Shops of Skyview and an unbelievable amount of food options (#3). Since it's also on College Point Blvd, it's an ideal place for cab or rideshare pickup, and it's close enough to the highways where coming here from LGA wouldn't be an issue at all. The prices will vary, but I managed to stay here for between $130-150 a night. One will notice how small the lobby is and how the rooms are even smaller. (#4) Even in the short span of time that the place has been open, it's already showing some serious signs of wear and tear. The elevators are slow and may not always be working. And my room despite how they've tried to make it boutique and trendy, was underwhelming overall. I didn't love my bed or the fact it took a long time to get the room cooled. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest but manageable during my stay. There was a time when they would offer free breakfast. I had no such thing during my stay and was unimpressed with the options in the building. I was also informed that their gym was closed for renovation, so I wasn't able to utilize their fitness room. WiFi was there, but barely. Thankfully, I never had to spend much time in my room since I was enjoying the neighborhood so much. I thought the staff was nice, but they had to send me to different rooms because of either bed stains or the fact there was no desk for one of the Queen bed based rooms. I think they tried their best, but I feel like their hands are tied while the hotel breaks down. They're almost all fluent in Mandarin and English. I'm not sure I'd stay here again. Like many NY hotels, the location almost matters more than the amenities, but I wouldn't pay top dollar for this alone. However, if there was few options in the Flushing vicinity and I was desperate, I am sure I could make this work. Hopefully by then they will have resolved their issues. ___________ (#1) Previously A1 Rooftop, now The Compass: https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-compass-flushing (#2) Formally Naked Crab, now known as Buer Pub: https://www.yelp.com/biz/buer-pub-flushing (#3) 99% of which are Chinese places. Welcome to Flushing. (#4) And ... welcome to New York.

So gross, don't stay here. No parking, staff is not helpful at all and there is tons of mold in the bathroom.

Actually pretty happy I picked this hotel to stay in because it came with breakfast and a gym. It's located in flushing. Within 5 min walking distance to the Main Street. Nothing really stands out. Typical hotel in the city. I do like the treadmill buttt the dumbbell they were missing 15lbs

Okay hotel. Doors were rusty and hard to shut , both the entrance and bathroom door. The desk is placed right near the bathroom which is not good in my opinion.. Nothing crazy about the room/bed. Just average. I've seen better.

The Parc Hotel, locating in Flushing NY, is relatively average yet satisfactory in times of need. During the time I visited, the area was very busy (U.S. Open going on / Legend Serena William's last outing). I was in town to catch a couple Mets games (big fan of Starling Marte & Edwin Diaz ). The Parc hotel does provide a decent continental breakfast each morning that is included in your stay. In addition, the rooftop bar provides a great view of the skyline. Drinks are small & rather expensive - would be great if you were allowed to bring your own beverages up there, haha. Overall, the Parc Hotel is not an awful place to stay. Close to U.S. Open Stadium & Citi Field. Right next to a mall which includes Target, Nike & Adidas outlet, Marshall's, & more. Although rooms are pretty small, you will have everything you need. Nothing too bad to say about Parc but probably better options available in less busier times!

Do not stay here the images on website do not match the experience. Old beat up hotel the couches in lobby are even torn and worn out. The AC did not work in my room and started leaking water. Save your money and don't stay here.

But in a good way kinda ? Reason I say this is simply because it is a small lobby area totally cluttered with statues every where !! On the floor , to the side on tables ? It's like someone just couldn't make up their mind about what the heck they wanted to add to the lobby so they just threw a bunch of random stuff together. Now the fish tank around the check in desk is cool to look at but way way too much the fish are huge which makes the tank look like it doesn't belong. The lobby alone is just overkill. Moving on , we got into the room & it was nice everything was good , nice & clean comfy room. Once u get settled u wanna relax for a bit maybe watch a little TV ? Nope not here no clue what was going on with the TV barely any channels showed & most were static ughh kinda a pain. Tried to get some ice no can do on your own, u need to ask in the front & they will bring it to u. I don't want to sound like I am putting the place down , in the end I settled for the 3 stars because it was reasonably price, convenient & very clean it served it's purpose.

Once I got off the bus, it was a short walk, roughly 10 minutes, with the help of Apple Maps to get to Hyatt. Lots of places were still open late at night, and plenty of people were out and about. I felt like I was in the bustling streets of Asia, where it's safe to walk late at night. Stayed in room 625, it was a very spacious room with multiple windows and great views overlooking Flushing, with a giant sofa, comfy bed, and large brightly-lit bathroom. The shower has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Front desk gave me a couple of sewing kits, which I really appreciate. They told me breakfast was complimentary, and when I went the following morning for breakfast, the hostess said it's an $11 charge. I told her I was told it was complimentary, and after she consulted with the front desk, she said it was fine, so I had breakfast. There's a decent selection, including congee, miso soup, steel cut oatmeal. Gym on the 3rd floor is incredibly tiny. A rack of dumbbells, one treadmill, one bench, and one weight machine. It was fine for a quick workout. No bathrobe nor slippers provided. They held onto my luggage the next morning for a couple of hours while I was out and about in Flushing. I lost my luggage tag, but thankfully I was able to get my luggage back easily.

This is a cheap hotel in Corona, Queens so I don't really know what people would expect. We had a group of 4 of us come here for the Gov Ball music festival and it worked out perfectly for us. We were able to walk to Citi field from the hotel. We checked in early with no extra charge and the two rooms we got were ready for us. I like how the windows open because we were able to hear the music from the festival from our room during the day. We had an AC in our room and that thing blasted cold air! Kept us cool all night long. We accidentally left our room key in our room so I went downstairs to the front desk to get a replacement and the girl was so nice! Gave me no hassle and offered me one or two keys. The TV worked, the shower and toilet worked and was clean. They offer larger than average shampoo and conditioner etc. Even though you bring you own stuff most hotels only give you those teeny little bottles. Plus there was toothpaste and two toothbrushes wrapped in plastic already in the room if we needed. We also got a thank you bag with two bottles of water and some snacks. As far as parking- the parking lot is extremely teeny. I mean like it only has about 13 spots max but we pulled in and got a spot no issue lollll. They also lock the gate at night which I like. I felt like my car was safe in there. After the festival we came back and showered and walked the streets looking for some late night food. The beautiful thing about Queens is that you can get Mexican food at 11:30 pm in a sit down restaurant. For what we needed this hotel for, it worked out perfectly.
