I had a very disappointing experience at what is considered a high-end salon…read more Before booking my first appointment, I sent photos of my current hair and inspiration pictures to the stylist. I have an AirTouch technique in my hair, and since the salon does not offer AirTouch services, I wanted to confirm in advance that we could achieve a similar look using balayage or highlights. I was assured we could proceed. At the appointment, I waited a bit (which I understand happens in Miami). Once seated, the stylist examined my hair carefully and suggested doing a half head of highlights first to see how my fine, chemically damaged hair would react. I appreciated the caution and explained my previous negative experience with another stylist. When I left the salon, I was happy. The result wasn't identical to my inspiration photos, but I felt good about it. However, after washing my hair once, I noticed obvious orange foil spots and poorly blended areas near my ears. I immediately contacted the salon, and to their credit, they accommodated me the next day for a correction. Unfortunately, the solution offered was to darken my roots to cover the orange spots. This left me questioning why I paid $450 to lighten my roots, only to have them darkened again. Now, just a little over two weeks later, my hair already looks grown out because of the darker roots. For the price point and reputation of this salon, I expected better execution and a longer-lasting result. I truly wanted to love the experience, but overall, I'm very disappointed.

From the moment I walk in, I feel genuinely cared for, and the staff always goes above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They always answer the phone right away and are super helpful in finding appointment times that fit my schedule. I've visited the salon 2-3 times a year since moving to Miami, and every visit has been a wonderful experience. Whether I want to chat or need to get some work done while my hair is being styled, they are considerate and accommodating. My hair is not easy to work with, and I've had my share of bad experiences at other salons. But from day one, Andrea knew exactly how to handle my hair. He listened carefully to my preferences, offered helpful advice, and I left the salon feeling incredibly happy with the result!! That has been my consistent experience every time I return. I always get compliments on my hair after a visit--both for the cut and the color. Andrea somehow manages to get my hair blond without damaging it, which I've never experienced with any other hairdresser. By the second time I called to set up an appointment, they already recognized me, and I was excited to return. I'll be very sad if I ever have to move and stop going here! As a European, I can say they feel like my Italian family here in Miami. I always leave with a great hairstyle and in a great mood. I highly recommend this place to anyone!!

I initially booked an appointment to have a consultation which was free of charge. I showed up and was greeted immediately by name. They knew me from my appointment which was impressive. I then met Ashley. So sweet and thorough. She gave me an estimate on how much my hair was going to be. She asked me what I really wanted for my hair in my dream world. I told her and she told me she would try and make it happen. I returned about two weeks later to finally get it done. WOW WOW WOW. It took many hours to achieve what I wanted but it happened. These 2 ladies helped shape my new view of Madison Reed. They, and the other 2 staff members are exceptional representatives of this brand. Long story short. I went to another location last month, day before my birthday. My experience was not the best from start to finish. I hung in trying to be understanding of being someone's last appointment and they were exhausted and or inexperienced when left alone with multiple clients. Whatever the case, I was left with dark, large dye marks 2 inches from hairline on my forehead and temple, had dye marks on both ears, cheeks, and back of neck. I was told nothing could be done and there was no product there available to try to remove stains left by colorist who had already left. I went home and had to wash face/hair after paying for my blow out. I considered canceling the membership I just signed up for because now I was leaving on a birthday trip not like I payed to look for the celebration. Hesitant, I made another appointment, but, this time at Merrick Park location. Both Indira and Savannah listened to my past experience and went above and beyond to rectify it. I am so grateful to them both for their professionalism, expertise, and kindness. I am more than satisfied with the color, the styling. I recommend THIS Madison Reed location!!!!
