Last night, I was able to see a different side of Mirage Banquet in a memorial event for a local fighter. The Mirage donated the room AND the catering for everyone and the silent auction that night. That kind of generosity and community support is commendable and I just wanted to make sure my review reflected that. The decor was classy. Crisp, clean linens, quality centrepieces, great lighting and quality sound. And the food. The catering was amazing. Hot, delicious selection. Roast potatoes, coconut fish, chicken parm, tender and rare prime rib, salad, flavourful gravy and a mushroom Alfredo pasta that was to die for. The catering and service staff were ON IT. Food was instantly whisked in and empty trays traded out so no one in line had to wait for a buffet selection. Tables were bussed of dirty dishes quicky and quietly. I definitely would book with the Mirage for the room and even for the catering for an outside event. (which they do!)

We walk in to a beautifully decorated banquet hall ready to seat 800+ people. Being dressed as I was in a button down shirt and jeans I suddenly felt like I should have been in a suit and tie. In the end however everyone was extremely friendly and talkative. This was a very well organized event where they had about 20 different companies celebrate their corporate Christmas party as a very fanciful event without needing 200+ people from their own business. There was a great buffet banquet and a comedy show that was followed by a dance that lasted till 1 am. This was a great way for a smaller business to show of their appreciation for their employees and have a great time. I would highly recommend this venue for any event that you are planning for your business.

The deck was nice as was the space for lawn games and other activities. It looked like the built in facilities were really helpful for our caterers and the other folks serving our group! It really was a nice venue if perhaps a bit far from most of Edmonton. Then again the seclusion could be an appealing factor! There was ample parking and the dirt road to get there was not very long at all.

As a former events manager, I have never felt so undermined or disrespected by the on-site manager of this facility. First, he refused to give us a key to the building -- After paying $600 for the venue and then having many of the "perks" revoked with the loss of their in-house catering company, they could have at least given us a key to use. The site manager continually entered the hall during the reception and pestered the groom with questions about when our linens and other rental equipment would be removed. As the rentals were not made through the hall, he had no right to ask such questions, and I told him as much when he questioned my willingness/ability to bring the items to the vendor the next day. After he was asked to address all of his questions and concerns to me, he began to search out other members of the bridal party. He even went so far as to turn the hall lights on and off after we had dimmed them to a safe, yet mood-inspiring level. The final nail in the OTS coffin was finding out later that friends of the manager (members of OTS, perhaps?) were drinking and carrying on INSIDE THE HALL during our rental period, the afternoon of the wedding. If you want a stress-free wedding, do not book this space. Yes, it is a great venue space and has a beautiful attached park, but dealing with this man is not worth it. To quote the bride: "the day was perfect, with that one exception."

Once inside there's an open space with display cabinets. They had a photo booth set up on the left side and the radio show set up on the right side but there was room for people to walk. The washrooms were to the left and they were clean and tidy. We went into the hall and it was set up with tables and chairs for about 10 people around each table. There was a centrepiece and items on the table, and also decorations hanging on the side walls. The tables weren't set up right to the stage to leave room for those who wanted to dance to get up close to the band. The 2 bars had line ups but it was easy to buy drink tickets and line up. The ladies' selling the tickets were nice and I asked if they had a tip jar but she didn't have one. They also had food set up with pizza, I think chicken too, chips, and chocolate bars. We were seated almost aligned with the doors and could see the band on the stage pretty well. There was an aisle so lots of people walking by but it wasn't bothersome. The sound was decent for the hall too. Decent venue for events and would be happy to be back for more parties!

They must spend a fortune in upkeep. I've been coming here for parties for over 20 years. It does…read morenot look shabby or show age at all. If you are lucky enough to attend a banquet, you are in for a treat. The resident staff is top notch. Great Italian food and attentive service. My last visit was for a concert. It's spacious enough for lots of dancing, but the overall sound quality could be better. There are 2 bars and a pretty decent consession area. It's tricky finding the road in. You have to take 132 ave. It's on St. Albert Trail, so you could also take the bus.

During the turnaround I met Christine, who was worried about the timing because the wedding was running late. Well, every wedding runs late. Always. It's a given. We talked about it and I agreed to be her go-to person for when the Bridal Party was on their way back. I was getting ready, the DJ was set, we were ready to rock, and Christine was still worried about the timing. It was just the food though - she had a big roast to be carved at the buffet and didn't want it to get dry. I totally got that. So I made sure that the Bridal Party let me know when they were heading back. The evening started off so awesome! The bartenders were good. One was a little mopey, but I heard he was the nephew and probably wanted to go out that night. Ha! The other was Christine's husband, it turns out, and he was HILARIOUS!! Such a nice guy! Slinging drinks like crazy! I called up all the tables and when it was my turn to eat, wow, EVERY PIECE OF FOOD I ATE WAS INCREDIBLE!! You know, you go to weddings and most of the food is good, but some items may be so-so, or blah. Not here, everything was spot-on and delicious! We had an outdoor event and when they came to set up the decor, the wind was a bit higher than normal and was blowing the decor off the tables and blew the canopy to the ground. Totally out of both parties control. My issue lies with them knowing the wind was going to be strong that day as they came three days prior and refused to work with us in finding a solution. They simply said "we don't have anything" . Even that was like okay, a bit annoying but whatever. I tried calling Abe and just asked if there's any way to put weights on the decor and if there's anything else he could do. This guy, on my own reception day yelled at me. Like literally yelled and was swearing. He told me "don't tell me how to do my effin job" etc. At this point I was furious. This is completely not okay, you should not yell or swear at your clients, especially when they pay you 10 grand for what they thought was a "professional" service. These guys are just a bunch of clowns that should not be trusted to host your event. The cherry on top is the fact that he refuses to communicate, address the issue by calling us back, reply to our reviews. His solution is to post fake 5 star reviews on his google page. Honestly do what you want but there are far better decor companies out there that have a better team, better problem management skills and better communication with there clients.

Monika and her staff helped us set up our event to perfection. The caterers at the hall helped us create an amazing array of food that even our fussy eaters enjoyed. From appetizer to dessert it all tasted so good. As well, Monika worked with the decorator to help arrange everything before the party and after the party to ensure nothing was left. Even things we didn't think about the two of them and sure we're done. It won't be for a while, but the next party I host I know where I will be hosting it! And the next big party you are needing to host you should definitely look at SilverMoon for all your needs.

We had our wedding ceremony at the Greystone Gardens Bed and Breakfast and it was INCREDIBLE!!! It was the most beautiful ceremony we, as well as our guests, have ever seen! Zane and Linda take unbelievable care of their property and are more than accomodating. We had looked at the Devonian Botanical Gardens, which are about five minutes away, and this place BLEW THEM OUT OF THE WATER!! For a third of the price and the freedom to customize your ceremony, this was well worth it!! The beautiful gardens, mixed with the hospitality has already made me recommend it to all my friends getting married. It is a beautiful Garden but for a wedding ceremony, I would recommend opting out.
