I've been to Mirage for a few MMA events a couple years ago and I really enjoyed the space for such a venue. Last night, I was able to see a different side of Mirage Banquet in a memorial event for a local fighter. The Mirage donated the room AND the catering for everyone and the silent auction that night. That kind of generosity and community support is commendable and I just wanted to make sure my review reflected that. The decor was classy. Crisp, clean linens, quality centrepieces, great lighting and quality sound. And the food. The catering was amazing. Hot, delicious selection. Roast potatoes, coconut fish, chicken parm, tender and rare prime rib, salad, flavourful gravy and a mushroom Alfredo pasta that was to die for. The catering and service staff were ON IT. Food was instantly whisked in and empty trays traded out so no one in line had to wait for a buffet selection. Tables were bussed of dirty dishes quicky and quietly. I definitely would book with the Mirage for the room and even for the catering for an outside event. (which they do!) read more

Last night I went out to a Christmas party at mirage. Being the "+1"I had no idea why to expect for this type of party. We walk in to a beautifully decorated banquet hall ready to seat 800+ people. Being dressed as I was in a button down shirt and jeans I suddenly felt like I should have been in a suit and tie. In the end however everyone was extremely friendly and talkative. This was a very well organized event where they had about 20 different companies celebrate their corporate Christmas party as a very fanciful event without needing 200+ people from their own business. There was a great buffet banquet and a comedy show that was followed by a dance that lasted till 1 am. This was a great way for a smaller business to show of their appreciation for their employees and have a great time. I would highly recommend this venue for any event that you are planning for your business. read more

Beautiful location. The entire place was expertly decorated. The bars, walls, ceiling, and bathrooms were to die for in regards of decorations and design. Free coat check in for our party, great service at the door and ticket check, as well as the bar. That's pretty much where it ends. The table service was poor. One of our table mates was irresponsible and drunk before supper had even begun. He brushed his food off the plate and over the table... and it sat there all night long despite asking to have it removed. The only thing cleared from our table were the supper plates and crystal. The used wine glasses, empty water jug, and extra water glasses sat there all night and in our way until we cleared them ourselves. The waiters and waitresses didn't seem to have a definite dress code and we couldn't tell who worked for the banquet vs who was attending. When it came time to eat the food was great, but it took about an hour or two for everyone to get called up for supper. There was potential for 4 lines, but only 1 was really used and no one directed traffic to change that. Aside from that the food was fine. The comedian, Pete Zedlacher, was terrible. He insulted at least 3 groups of people with a different culture than his own within the first half of the show (although he did focus on his own for the first few minutes), and most of the rest of the show was easily dismissible. The majority of the people at the show didn't laugh, even the comedian commented on how it took him forever to get an applause break to take a drink. And finally, the dance. Dear Mirage Banquet, Your DJ SUCKS. Get a new one. That's all I really have to say. It was impossible to stay on the floor for more than 2 songs without getting bored. My table spent the night correctly guessing what he would play next and laughing. read more

I attended a wedding of over 120 people at the Mirage Banquet Hall. The hall was separated into two venue spaces for two separate wedding receptions. The flowing fabric on the ceiling and hued lighting provided a wonderful ambience. The food was pretty good! The highlight was the coconut fried fish. The selection of food at the wedding included three types of salads, mashed potatoes, penne pasta, grilled veggie, and some meat options. A great venue for a wedding! Would definitely suggest hosting an event in this space. read more

The first time we went to Mirage Banquet Hall to check out the venue, we knew right there and then that it is where we want our reception to happen after the ceremony. We got our own coordinator, Awaes who was nothing but helpful. Communication was easy - if Awaes is unavailable, Deepak will be there to answer. If you book with Mirage, you will get everything you need for the reception: beautiful interior decorations with draperies, dance floor and lighting effects; linens such as naps, sheer and table cloths; tables and chairs; and buffet style food. They also provide free food tastings to help you choose what food they would serve on the day of the event. Our guests absolutely loved the food and the dessert was included in the price. I definitely recommend using this place if you have guests from 150 and above, and you have a smaller budget. The amount of things we got from the package saved as so much for the price we paid for everything. read more

Went to a Company Christmas party At the mirage, it was odd, it had multiple companies. the door prizes were cheap for the event 4 for 600 people and the comedian they hired was horrible. Nigel Lawrence is truly the worst i ever heard, his jokes about skinning, cats, apples in the rump and a child playing with themselve was not appropriate for a party. The music was poorly done and not much fun as the variety was weird. The food was quite good for a buffet except for the use of raw onions with the perogies. the service staff was pleasant the bar was too crowded and the ceasar i had was disgusting. I think this company could really be on top with a bit of planning and better entertainment and a decent bartender.. read more
