Even though the recent refurbishing has limited the number of dresses they have on-hand and even complicated dressing room arrangements a bit, I was impressed with how the staff made-do with what they had. I accompanied my boyfriend's mother, daughter and friend to a dress fitting and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the dresses presented to us. Susan, the owner of this up-and-coming bridal store, was equally helpful and unobtrusive. She and her assistant presented several dress options and ideas with accompanying accessories (i.e. belts and brooches). Offering lighthearted jokes and sincere compliments to our bride-to-be, the staff was truly a joy to be around throughout the entire appointment. From my understanding, the clientele list is a bit exclusive, but once you're in, you have a wonderful and jovial staff to help you during this very special shopping trip. Whether you are planning a wedding or vow renewal, Stevara can button you up in something beautiful.

She was kind, patient, and had a sense of humour (very appreciated!). We spent almost two hours in the shop. The atmosphere was relaxing and the setting itself is quite beautiful. There are lots of options to choose from in terms of dress styles at varying price points. Basically you decide on the silhouette, then they order the gown customized to your size which arrives in 10 weeks for a rush order or three months for regular delivery. Lovebird also carries bridal gowns, veils, accessories, and prom dresses too. We had such a good experience that the mother of the bride plans to also pick out her dress from this boutique as well. Would highly recommend if you are in the Kingston area and need a special gown for a special occasion!

The boutique is broken up into sections along with seating, so you can have a quieter space with you and your, "entourage." Dress shopping can be a little bit intimidating as each store has different rules and regulations as to how they operate (whether you need an appointment, if you're allowed to pull your own dresses, etc, etc...). Neither my friend nor I are pros at wedding dress shopping, so we were kind of out of our element. They were very welcoming at Sinders and allowed us to pull the dresses we liked from the racks. The stylist that was assisting us, Debbie, also made suggestions, but it wasn't done in a pushy way at all. She was fantastic at selecting dresses that flattered my friend's figure and she made the task of selecting the perfect dress far less daunting! My friend ended up finding her dress at Sinders and the process was thoroughly enjoyable! BONUS: They offer 10% off the bridesmaids dresses if you buy your wedding dress from them. :)

Each time we visited, we were not helped nor greeted for at least 10 minutes, and when we finally were acknowledged, we felt like an inconvenience every time - even with our appointment booked ahead of time. The Sales Assistant helping us the day we purchased was very rude to one girl. This girl felt bullied over her size, even though she is not large, and felt coerced into buying two sizes too big. The Sales Assistant did not seem to really give her an option to order her proper size, and proceeded to tell her a dress was too small for her as she had to hold it up in place because it was too large. When the dresses finally came in, we were appalled at how large this girl's dress was on her - at least two sizes too big, as we had thought. The new Sales Assistant that we had asked her why on earth she had ordered a dress so big. This girl almost burst into tears, she was so insulted and frustrated. The Sales Assistant proceeded to try and convince her that the dress was easily fixed. It might be an 'easy' fix, but it will cost as it is massive on her. Major hemming, major take-ins around the bust and waist, etc. The material was swimming around her. The worst part of all of this is that neither Sales Assistants would listen to the girl or myself as we advocated our preferences and opinions. We respected their expertise and sales savviness, but when something is clearly too large, the customer can tell - particularly when there is excess material or the dress is falling down. We felt that our thoughts were being blatantly ignored and that we were not being listened to as the Customer. I cannot recommend this place until they improve their Customer Service. The dresses, however, are beautiful, and we are appreciative of that.

I procrastinated on picking out the ceremony music and she was very helpful in sending me a list of common choices for various parts of the ceremony. She has many traditional and more modern songs. She can also learn a new one for you if the sheet music is available. Our guests were taken away to another place when they heard her play during our ceremony. We received many compliments on her and it was the last piece that made our ceremony and cocktail hour very romantic and intimate. You will be very pleased if you hire Esther, the Elegant Harp.
