Amanda was an amazing instructor and made me want to learn more. The participants in the class were newbies, others who had taken some classes before and even a regular who has been coming to art classes given by 4P Studios for 8 years! Everyone was super friendly and very encouraging to everyone. I'm not, by nature, an artsy person but will definitely sign up for more classes at this studio. It would also be a great gift to sign yourself and a loved one or friend up with you for a class. Everything was very professionally done from the email received before the class to all the great instructions and help along the way. And it was super fun! I highly recommend!

It was $50 for the sign & 3 gnomes. I chose Easter, St Patrick's Day, and Patriotic. The class started at 1:30 and we finished about 4 hours later. You can come back another time and do 3 more Gnomes for $25. If you have a special project in mind you can contact them and they will help you create what you're looking for. SOAP ENDEAVORS Fun…read moreclass Informative instructor Walk away w/ 3 bars and beginner kit ... HIGHLY RECOMMEND LINDSEY's CLASSES The class is held at her condo-turned-into-Soap-lab in a highrise downtown Long Beach near the beach. Lindsey provides snacks, drinks, handout, materials, and protective gear. We talked about soap, saponification, ingredients, and do hands on with making out cold press soap. We leave with 3 bars of soap still in it's mold (takes two weeks to cure). What I've taken away from the class... 1) Lindsey showed us the basics, the tip of the iceberg, and we create from there. Let's just say I begun ordering my organic materials when I got home and started looking into formulas and how to tweak them based on what I've learned 3) Lye is used for the chemical reaction for saponification but is not not a direct ingredient within the soap 3) difference between "beauty bar" and real soap (ex: dove is a beauty bar but not a soap) I'll be back soon to take the advance class! While classes are great, I love strolling in on a random day when I just need a moment and I can create. They feature a Grab and Go Mini Bar and I love it because it's exactly what a gal needs when she wants to craft without a class reservation. You simply pick the project size, a stencil, and paint colors to create your work of art. You can complete this craft onsite or take home. My favorite part is the variety of stencils because even drawing a straight line is quite challenging for me. Group Suggestions: This is a great "I'm bored" activity that requires no planning and is inexpensive. Just be sure to check the workshop schedule online to be sure they're open for walk-in's. This is also a fun activity on 3rd Thursday's. Grab a snack from @ Sheila's before going to craft on those nights. Solo Suggestions: Wallk-in projects are great for those who are learning to navigate going on adventures solo. You'll always have a smiling face ready to help you and often chat with you.
