She has a practical focus on function both for spaces and items - how do you use this? where do you like to do this? - and can envision the way things will fit together and how you will use them. I kept saying, "I never would have thought of that!" when she showed me how she had organized/stored something in a new-to-me way that just made sense. She has now come back twice and organized a hall closet (that houses medicine, linens, cleaning supplies, and travel items), our pantry closet, and almost all of our kitchen cabinets. The spaces in my home that Kathryn has organized are now the most functional, and my most favorite to use. Instead of feeling stressed trying to put away dishes in crowded cabinets, or spending time hunting around for what I need to bake or pack lunches, everything is right at my fingertips, clearly labeled so I can easily reset. With that in mind I decided to gift the session to my 17yr old daughter who needed some guidance for her small but cluttered bedroom. It was a pleasure for my daughter to work with Kristyn. She was patient, kind, non judgmental, and provided many helpful tips (according to my daughter). She puts your goals and vision in mind while creating a wonderful space. After several bags of trash and donations, my daughter's bedroom was transformed to an organized and tidy space. My brother and I knew we needed a compassionate third-party to help make this happen, and Emily was exactly that presence. We're really glad we chose to work with her! What sets Emily apart is that she is encouraging, passionate, genuinely happy to help, and considers every family member's thoughts, concerns, and MANY opinions throughout the process. She walked us through every step, explaining options, encouraging progress, and keeping things moving without anyone feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
