I could ask her any questions and she'd respond with an answer within minutes with multiple responses and/or options. All of my guests were complimenting me on the location, elegance, parking, open bar, and bouncy house. It accommodated all ages. I would recommend it to anyone. Two weeks ago a family lost their son unexpectedly. They were looking for a venue to hold the repass. This was a devastating task and they reached out to churches also awaiting responses. They made a $500. Deposit before their walk thru. On the day of their appointment they received a call from the church to confirm they could use the facility and dining hall. The Family apologetically informed the owner that they were accommodated and no longer needed to rent the hall. The lady became upset, told them they had wasted her time and said she was not going to refund their deposit! Who in their right mind abuses a grieving family, senior citizens and in a very vulnerable state due to the circumstances? I am appalled and will do my best to get this information out to everyone. How dare you take advantage of this black family grieving, emotionally distraught and looking for help! read more

We had our wedding here January 20th. I was hesitant due to the recent influx of less than stellar reviews but I wanted to call and meet in person before making any snap judgements. Phyllis coordinates the event space and she was a very nice person. Most complaints in these reviews are from people who clearly didn't read the contract she provided you. My event went off without a hitch. She was accommodating to our crazy schedule and was very helpful when I needed to reach out by email. Phyllis offers a rental package that comes with linens, chargers, goblets, and napkins among other items at an affordable rate. This honestly made set up and take down a breeze. The manager is majorly RUDE! We still had a 1/2 hour on the hall and she came in and started shutting down our party. Told the D.J to start winding down, lower the music and said that the music was offensive. Personally I thought she was a bit raciest. read more

Good communication leading up to the event and very fair pricing. Manager is great with the decorations and the place looks better in person. Photos don't do it justice. My only fair criticism is on the day of the event, as others have pointed out, the manager became very controlling. Our caterer did not want to serve before we (bride and groom) arrived, but they notified me they were being pressured. We could only cut the wedding cake in the room, we had to use the kitchen to serve it. Despite paying for the venue until midnight, we were being rushed to wrap up our reception. Manager seemed very put out when the family wanted to stay until our closing time. Lastly, family was helping clean up at the end of the night and tossing trash bags into a truck bed. As recyclables are worth money in CA, the manager accused a family member of attempted theft and "stealing" verbatim. Mind you, these were our own provided cans and bottles. This caused an altercation, which thankfully was settled, but not a good choice of words to use towards family members who have been drinking. I understand wanting to protect your venue and taking all necessary precautions to do so, but in my opinion, there is some hospitality to be expected from an event coordinator. I had my event here 8/8/19. The venue itself is nice, clean, affordable, and spacious. It includes tables and chairs which you will have to provide linens and chair covers yourself if you wish. The kitchen is open but you can not use the stove to cook. There's a fridge and plenty of ice that can be used which is also great. There is an outside area that is very beautiful too. It's fenced in and has a lot of greenery. When I first interacted with Phyllis, she was friendly and provided tons of information. Throughout the times we did meet, she continuously asked if we would have someone "play bartender" mind you we only served soda, water & tea. There was no alcohol involved. I didn't think it would be such a huge deal to have someone stand behind the bar to hand out sodas and water but she demanded that we had someone behind the bar. She had asked if we were going to be servicing appetizers, I told her well we will be serving "nachos, pasta salad and fruit" she then replied "wow those are your appetizers".... The day of the event, she still insisted to have a bartender and demanded someone be behind the bar. She also told us when we needed to start feeling up the sinks with ice and placing our drinks in the ice. She was also a bit intrusive and invasive. I had a table setup where our guests can put there gifts and cards, it was also a memorial table for two family members. As I was changing in the restroom she goes in and says "do you have a table setup for gifts because you just had a guest bring a big gift" which I then explained to her where the gift table was. After that she periodically would walk out from the kitchen to I guess, check on how everything was going. Because of everything that happened it did make a couple of our guests feel uneasy. With all that being said, Phyllis does offer decorating and she did a great job on that. Overall I would say everything was ok and that's why I'm giving 3 stars. If customer service was better that would of made our experience better and I could of gave more stars. read more

This place is amazing. Just had my daughter's Quinceañera there and it was nothing short of fantastic. Phyllis is awesome. She answered all my questions and was there every step of the way. Going with the decorations and service package was worth it. The servers were attentive and polite. Phyllis was there with them making sure nothing was out of place and going as planned. I'm giving this establishment a high rating based on the wedding party I attended on Friday evening. I am not privy to all the details that went into the choice of making the OrangeCrest Club the wedding venue. All I know is that we had a pleasurable night. The wedding was well planned by the coordinator and she should be commended for having done an outstanding job. The wedding and the party right afterwards are to be onsite. When we arrived there was great hustle and bustle, but we could see that we were early. The decorations were in place, the tables were nicely covered with chargers and place settings. The front of the hall was where the wedding vows would take place and it has a nice size dance floor with a side for the DJ's sound equipment. The restrooms were easily accessible and the bar area was quickly found as you enter the hallway. Outside there was plenty of parking for guests and on the front of the building there was an area for nice wedding pictures. On the far side there was a semi patio area for those that needed to have fresh air. The service did a great job keeping up with the ceremonies, the food lines were quick and the bar was tended professionally. Like all weddings, it is the moments for the bride and the groom to shine and I would like to say that the OrangeCrest Club offered a nice venue for this wedding. read more

Was here for a retirement party. Now the location itself is great my concern is with the service. One of the servers "Tyson" made me and my wife feel very uneasy. The guy kept hovering over my son. There was 7 other kids in the place and he kept zeroing in on my son. Total creeper, we would purposely go outside to get away and he would find a way to come around and hover. Other family members noticed his odd behavior as well. When my wife made the manager aware of the situation she was very dismissive. Instead of being understanding and telling him to back off she stated he's a close friend, great with kids etc. No parent should have to feel the way we did today instead of enjoying the party I had to watch where "Tyson" was at all times. Received a phone call a couple days later where the manager started the conversation with "You're going to kill me...." and notified me that she had double booked the venue and had to cancel our date. She apologized once and offered no accommodation(s) or dates. Read the reviews before you sign the contract! I wanted a stress free- modest party for my daughter and this place did not deliver! At our second visit with the hall coordinator (after signing the contract) she let out a list of rules to follow including the rule that made it difficult for us to decorate; no tape on the walls, you can only use the hooks that are already in place; many were missing and others were falling off. The day of the event, she was walking around anxiously stating her demands to the vendors, my family, and guest. Everyone felt uncomfortable with her presence, especially since nobody knew who she was. Although she was very impolite, I kept my cool the entire time. I do not believe that her intentions were to be rude; however, she puts unnecessary pressure (drill sergeant like) on anyone. My cousin had her wedding reception here and it was very beautiful. Other than that it was a complete nightmare. The manager was very controlling and very rude for apparently no reason. She made it very difficult on the staff, my family, and the vendors. It would have been very enjoyable if she wasn't so rude and controlling. Kinda felt as if she was the one getting married and putting her needs first above everyone else's . Also she did not honor the contract my cousin set up with her. There was to be a band and a DJ. She even reviewed it and was fine with it, but when the reception came she acted like it was all brand new to her and made a big deal out of it. When asked about the dinner plates and salad plates that was in the contract that we payed for she stated it was not talked about even tho there were emails that discussed it. It was beautiful and affordable, but she is not afraid to make your life miserable throughout the whole time she is there with you. Just horrible. read more

I haven't chosen this venue yet; I'm just writing a review based on the customer service I received for the tour. It was GREAT by the way. Phyllis, the coordinator was so accommodating and polite. She was very informative about her facility and everything is very well taken care of as far as the flooring and wall conditions. No chipped walls or discolored areas, no worn down or torn, tattered carpet. The lighting was adjustable which I thought was convenient. Candles must be in a jar if being used as center pieces. No nails allowed in the walls, although as of now the command hooks are allowed because so far they haven't damaged the walls. The only negative is, it's not very ideal to have the ceremony outside because one of the busiest, main roads is literally a few feet away. She let us take our time looking around and I never once felt rushed even though we were the last appointment at 7 o'clock. Oh and I would highly recommend communicating to Phyllis through her email, which is on the website, seeing as she responds super quick! read more
