Over the past 15 or so years I developed an ever-growing gynecomastia condition where and I was too…read moreembarrassed to remove my shirt in public for many years. Surgery is the only option and my research on Google concluded that insurance coverage for surgical correction of gynecomastia was almost impossible. I consulted with three plastic surgeons who quoted very high rates and, as expected, no one mentioned the possibility of insurance coverage. I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Kotick last and, not only did he and his team make me feel very comfortable with their recommendation, but recommended that we try to get the surgery covered by insurance. Imagine my surprise when Dr. Kotick got an approval for what I guess was a male mastectomy or the equivalent thereof. What was truly incredible was that he got this covered even though I had no underlying condition accompanying my worsening man-boobs. This doctor has tremendous reconstructive surgery skills and an excellent bedside manner. In addition to being quite pleased with the outcome, I had very little pain during recovery. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone needing this specialty.

When we called to make the initial appointment we asked if this practice accepted our insurance…read more They said they did. When we arrived for the appointment we asked again and again wa told they did. It turns out they are not part of our policy's network. If in network as told they were we would have owed nothing. Out of network we are being billed. When we received the bills we called and again were told they took our insurance, yet we keep receiving bills. Everytime we call they tell us the billing person is not available and that they will call us back. They don't, and every few months a bill is received. If you wish to use them don't trust their office regarding coverage. They don't appear to care and just ignore us. Better yet find someone more reputable.

You are welcomed with a caring and efficient staff. I originally met with Dr. Kazil who genuinely cares about her patients and had a unique Insurance scenario and they were extremely accommodating. The surgical results exceeded my expectations. Dr. Baker gave me all the time I needed for wound care education and questions. Seriously, she spent more time with me than all my Dr. appts' over the past few years combined... another rarity! Warning to new patients:…read more This has to be the most pretentious doctor's office I have ever encountered. I have had appointments, cancelled, and rescheduled with prominent doctors all across the country in major cities that are trained in some of the best programs in the nation, but this small town doctor with unimpressive credentials is unreal with his pretentious policies and inflated ego. I called the office to make an appointment, and I was told it takes six weeks to make an appointment with him because "so many people are waiting to see him." Fine. I make the appointment. A month goes by. Two weeks before the appointment I have to leave town for work. I call the office two weeks ahead of time to say that I need to cancel my appointment, and that I will reschedule once I know when I'll be back. I am told that as a new patient you are not allowed to cancel your first appointment. If you do, then you will NEVER be allowed to make an appointment again. This is a direct policy from the doctor. I am then informed, that new patients are allowed to reschedule one time on the spot, but they are not allowed to cancel first and reschedule later. I told the receptionist that I did not know when I would be back in town, and that it would be better if I just called at a later date when I could be sure. I am then told again that a cancellation is not allowed, and that if I proceed with a cancellation I will never be able to book another appointment. The reason I was given is because they held this spot for me and "so many people are waiting to see the doctor." This is absurd. If so many people are waiting to see the doctor then they should have no problem filling that spot immediately. Furthermore, I have never experienced this extreme of a cancellation policy with any office in my entire life. Cancellation policy is usually one, two, or three days ahead of time. I called two weeks ahead of time. That is more than plenty of time. This was not a last minute cancellation. Furthermore, how can a doctor's office expect a patient's schedule to never change? Especially when you make them book appointments six weeks out. People have lives and work. Now, because of this, I will never be allowed to make an appointment with this doctor for the rest of my life. Even if I need medical eye care, this doctor will refuse to see me because I cancelled an appointment two weeks ahead of time once because I had to leave town for work. Consider yourself warned potential patients. This is the most ridiculous and draconian policy I have ever heard of.
