    Margherita Pizza

The pizza is Delicious here and doesn't cost an arm and a leg for a slice! Will return

I have a secret to tell you.... I hate basil, well I hated basil until I came here and got the margarita pizza. I don't know how to explain it other than it's magic. Sometimes I even ask for extra. If you have this place on your list definitely stop by and get a slice, or 3, or a whole pie. It's going to make your day. Their rolling veggie pizza is also a must. This is a picture of last weeks special. It had: apples, blue cheese, spinach, and hazelnuts. I don't even like cooked apples and got 4 slices. I know, I know, basil and apples, I am so weird. But that should tell you how great the place is. Also my husband, my daughter, and myself all got 2 slices with a can of soda and it came out to be 20.00. What a steal.

On my way through town, I stopped for a few slices. They were awesome! Thin crispy crust. The red sauce wasn't too much and had a great flavor. They had a seasonal slice, which I didn't try, but sounded great with a butternut squash sauce. Whenever I'm in Silverton I'll come back.

Whole pie!!! Pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon and olives!!!!

Very mediocre. Good for a slice at lunch time. I found it to be kind of dry but seems like quality ingredients.

Amazing pizza you must eat onsite. A nice crunchy crust. Served out of a cute vintage trailer right downtown

Best pizza around! Never burnt, ingredients are always fresh, and the crust is outstanding (and never burnt).

Consistently good pizza old New York style. Meatball subs are delicious too and plenty big.

Great pizza!!! We had never been and stopped for a few slices after getting out of the Silverton Hospital and the pizza was awesome.

I ordered an individual pepperoni pizza and a dinner salad with blue cheese dressing (no cukes, no bell peppers, thank you very much) and as sure I wouldn't be able to eat it all. I fooled myself, didn't I... 'cuz I ate it all! And where are my pics? I always take pics! I think I was too hungry and just gobbled it all down without any pics. Oh well. Here's the description instead: the little individual pizza was covered - covered! - in sliced pepperonis. No cheese underneath was even visible. Perfectly baked, edges of the pepperonis just a little bit crispy, crust to die for, great red sauce and Parmesan cheese on the table made it the best pizza in the area. Maybe even in the entire state. I don't know for sure because I haven't been to all the pizza places in Oregon but it would be hard to find a pizza as amazing as Home Place's. The side salad filled the bowl with lettuce, peas, croutons, shredded carrots & red cabbage with the blue cheese dressing I requested on the side. To say this was a lot of food would not be an exaggeration. There are two sides to this restaurant: a regular dining room and a pizza room with a game area for the kids (or young-at-heart adults). We sat in the pizza side this time where a children's birthday party was getting ready to start. The acoustics leave something to be desired in this side of the restaurant and excited children can be loud, even without the lack of acoustics. It's not the most relaxing quiet dinnertime space but listening to kids enjoy themselves can be uplifting in its own way. The restaurant is clean, the servers friendly and patient, the service is quick, the pizzas hot, the drinks plentiful, and I know I'll be back here soon for another pizza fix.

That said, I wanted to share my experience in the hopes it's taken as constructive feedback. I brought my niece and her partner, who are visiting from Georgia, to this spot after a beautiful day at Silver Falls. We were hungry and looking forward to relaxing with some drinks and food. We initially sat at the 21+ section, but had to move since one of us forgot their ID. Totally understandable. Before heading downstairs, the employee asked to see my niece's ID. Since she's from out of state, they also asked to see her debit/credit card to verify her name. While I get the caution, it did feel a bit unusual--especially since we hadn't ordered yet. It made me wonder what would've happened if she only had cash. Downstairs, we were greeted by a new server who seemed... off. Not necessarily rude, but distant, as if they didn't want to be there or didn't really want to engage with us. We ordered drinks and food--drinks were great! But food took about 30-35 minutes, which we understood. What was odd was the service flow. Our server came back to ask if we were ready for the bill... but we hadn't gotten our food yet. Eventually, another employee brought our plates and asked if we needed anything else. We asked for forks, but they never came back. When I asked someone again, our original server casually mentioned that utensils were still being washed--no reassurance or clear follow-up. It just felt like, "Oh well." My niece ended up asking for plastic utensils, and instead we were handed wet metal forks. We dried them ourselves and ate. The server didn't check on us again until the very end, and by that point, we just wanted the check and to go. The food itself was really good--but overall, the atmosphere just didn't feel warm or welcoming. I truly hope this feedback helps. The place has potential, and I'd love to give it another try someday, but this visit left us with mixed feelings.
