This was SO worth the hour drive, oh man! Lucketts is thee place to find hidden antique treasures that you will love forever! It feels like you're whisked away to a magical little realm in this town and store and it's fantastic. Vintage cameras, typewriters, prints, book stacks, hand pressed rings and soap holders; super cool chandeliers, knick knacks, every shape and color of glass vases, jugs and vials. Flannels, blankets, vintage clothing and hats, there's literally a junkyard of every vintage and cool thing you could look for, but it's all high quality and taken care of. Lucketts is the absolute real deal. We spent a good 2 hours delicately walking through the 3 floors and endless rooms chopped full of gold. I am in love with this place. If you have any sort of interest in antiques you need to visit Lucketts, and it's in a really neat area anyways with wine country just on the brim and a whole several mile stretch of farmers market after farmers market, this is the perfect day trip getaway!

I always wanted to stop in to this antique shop on my way to the airport. This time I had enough time to stop in and see what it was all about. They had a lot of stuff outside but it was raining so I couldn't really spend time out there, I had to head inside. It's really pretty and they have a lot of really nice things but it's really more of an upscale high end antique store then an antique store in my opinion. Each room is staged by a different vendor which is really cool but all of their things were so over priced compared to the other antique shops that I shop at so it was disappointing for me. But the shop is beautiful and they have a lot of items, new and older things.

Design house weekend!

I really enjoy coming to Luckett's for interior decorating inspiration! It's a great place to window shop and get ideas even if you don't walk away with anything. I would recommend visiting during Design House weekends. This occurs one weekend a month and it is separate from the general Luckett's store. They showcase various designers and each room in the house has a different theme, vision, and design. It's so remarkable how items you would never think of putting together actually look great when designed well. I'm not super creative myself, but this place gets your imagination going. I've received many compliments on decorations in my house that I either bought or was inspired from Luckett's. Luckett's is pricey so I wouldn't except to walk away with a bunch of steals. Employees are not consistently friendly either, which is why I'm knocking it down a star. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for decorating inspo!

We visited Old Lucketts for their Holiday open house. It was quite a fun event, even if you are just window shopping. They have a huge are outside where kids can run around and play with antiques, a big wooden chair, and a beer garden (just a pool filled in with sand). We had fun exploring the area and snapping a few photos. The design room is where the Christmas decorations are displayed and sold. I must say they must spend a lot of time decorating the rooms as there are at least 8-10 separate rooms all decorated in a different theme, which was quite impressive. They also offered some hot cider and cookies in the kitchen, which was a nice treat on a cold December morning. My mother in law loved their stuff and ended up buying a bunch of decorations, which yes, they were a tad on the expensive side, but she didn't mind as they are certainly not the type of stuff you would find at Target. Overall we had a fun time, and it's a fun place to just walk around and explore even if you don't end up buying anything.

Great art, antiques and ideas!

Such a fun place to visit. I'm from NC but my daughter lives nearby and it's our go to for antiques, decor and good ideas! Especially love the garden structures and the out buildings msg made from old house parts!!

Great energy - good selections, a higher end scale with pricing but some beautiful pieces.

They've got nearly everything you could imagine, Jewelry, knives, handmade dish-ware, and a couple definitely not haunted dolls. I come here almost weekly, and there's still always something new to look at. If you've seen other consignment style stores, their prices are about the same. The costs aren't a dealbreaker, but you'll definitely notice them. Employees wise this place is the best, friendly, and knowledgeable. I've asked questions about a lot of their inventory, and they always seem to have the answers. The definitely not haunted dolls are probably my most memorable experience. In the corner of my eye I swear to have seen an old red jumper blackface doll run across the aisle area. I'm crazy, but I'm not spitting out lies, I wholeheartedly believe what I saw. Anyways this place is really cool, and if you're riding through town you might as well check this place out.

Blossom & Bloom is my favorite thrift store in Northern Virginia. Why? Because I tend to search for…read moreunusual items that most other thrift stores never bother with - interesting old books, magazines, and various antique odds & ends. I make jewelry from old print and antique mediums, all because of Blossom & Bloom. The first time I went in there, they had a huge stack of beautifully preserved newspapers from the 1890's in their main glass case. I've always loved antique print, but never had a reason for collecting it before. As I was staring at all the gorgeous old pictures, it suddenly hit me - why not make jewelry out of it? I've been making antique print jewelry for over a year now, purely for myself and friends, and I'm absolutely addicted. Thanks to Blossom & Bloom's always changing inventory, I've now built up quite a collection of fantastic materials to work with. As other reviewers have noted, they also have a regularly rotating selection of clothing at incredibly good prices. But of course, keep in mind, like any thrift store it can be hit or miss. Some days you'll find nothing, other days you'll find absolute treasures. My Mom bought a beautiful London Fog coat complete with its original tags and got it for under $10. Another day I happened to find actual, original training shorts worn by Redskins players for $3 a pair. Now my husband walks around our house in Pierre Garcon's training shorts! Yet, like any thrifting adventure, some days you'll find nothing at all. Blossom & Bloom makes that adventure worthwhile, though, thanks to its charming location and friendly, quirky staff. If you're looking for print materials like me, be sure to stop in on Fridays for discounts on most books. If you're a senior, go on Tuesdays for their Senior Discount. Trust me, more often than not, you'll find a real treasure! And best of all, proceeds benefit a local charity. What could be better?
