Contrary to one review below, I've had a phenomenal experience at the Octagon. Recently, the management changed from Bozzuto to Greystar. While that change was a little rocky, all of our staff stayed (thankfully!). Every single person in the office is incredibly helpful. James and Jennifer always have a smile on their face. Mary and Brianna answer all of my questions, and Cera has helped me through 3 lease renewals now. I've been a resident since 2016, and have never had a water temperature issue or even so much as a bug in my apartment! The rent increases post Covid were a lot, but still competitive compared to moving. The amenities are unmatched, and events are amazing here. We have 3-4 in person fitness classes every single week, and incredible parties. Food goes quickly - it would be great if other residents weren't so greedy, but that's out of their control. Sometimes it can be hard to get the office on the phone, but they answer emails almost immediately. They're also always busy, so it's not like they're ignoring me, which I can understand and appreciate. I think that the biggest takeaway is that Roosevelt Island and The Octagon are gems in Manhattan, and anyone who lives here should be over the moon. As long as I can afford to live here, I definitely will. Plus, my dog loves the dog park and green space on Roosevelt Island! You won't regret moving in. read more
