Opportunity to tell members you're closing early

Good gym but inconsistent comms. I saw an IG story saying they were closing early at 7pm and headed to the gym the next morning, only to see on the door that they didn't open until 11:30am for TCS. No IG post, no story, nothing on touchstone.com or on the TCS flyers that they would be opening late. Life's not fair I guess but it kind of sucks to make the trek and pay for parking when they have multiple avenues for giving members a heads-up and don't take advantage. (It's possible they included it in the email newsletter? But spam filters are aggressive and even the best performing newsletter only gets at best 35% open rates, so not a great way to communicate)

The image shows an indoor rock climbing gym with multiple climbing walls decorated with colorful holds. The padded flooring provides safety for climbers, and several individuals are seen climbing, resting, or preparing to climb. A mezzanine level with a railing overlooks the climbing area, and the ceiling has exposed wooden beams. Trash bins are positioned near a central support column, and the space appears spacious and well-lit.

Though this gym is in a pretty congested place, it's pretty great. Large spaces, and lots of bouldering. I feel like it's the gym that listened to suggestions for improvement in others. I'm not a big Boulderer but I'll do it. There's a lot of tables and chairs to relax or do work. There's like 2 elliptical. 2 treadmills, and a bike. Small weight area, but it seems enough. This is great addition to the Touchstone family.

2 levels of bouldering - The image shows an indoor bouldering gym with multiple climbing walls of varying angles and colors, equipped with numerous holds. A metal viewing platform surrounds the climbing area, with a few people standing and sitting nearby. The gym has an industrial ceiling with exposed beams and ductwork, and the floor is covered with padded mats for safety. The space includes seating and storage areas, creating a dedicated environment for indoor rock climbing activities.

** The following review reflects my experience DURING the COVID-19 pandemic. **…read more OK, there's got to be at least a dozen of these so-called rock parks in the Berkeley Hills, most of which apparently present "challenges to early-level rock climbing" according to the city parks website. I don't know what that means to no-level rock climbing types like myself except a palpable fear of slipping on the rock stairs they carve in some of the smoother boulders. The most famous rock park is Indian Rock due to the sheer size of the outcroppings, and just up the block is its smaller and most discreet sister, probably overlooked except by those who presumably introduce themselves as early-level rock climbers at social mixers. It's still quite pleasing in its modest way. If Indian Rock is Marcia Brady, then Mortar Rock surely is Jan who claims to be dating advanced-level rock climber George Glass. "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!" "Sure, Jan." RELATED - Exploring Berkeley? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: https://bit.ly/2CbVh8u

But be sure to also check out mortar Rock Park and grotto Rock. What makes Mortar Rock Park special, there are deep divots in the rock said to have been created by the ancient people of the area as they were grinding nuts using the stones.
