The ceremony was held outdoors and the reception started with a cocktail hour also outside (with donkeys delivering ice cold beer; see the pics) and then we moved inside for dinner and music. The parking lot is mostly gravel and a bit unstable for walking. A golf cart was used to ferry folks from the lot to the venue. Nice touch. The security guard guided us to another smaller lot cautioning us to go slow up the ramp , so as not to bottom out. Oh joy. We made it OK. The venue is several buildings. One of the smaller ones appears where the bridal party can get ready. It's next to the steps you take to get to the wedding gazebo area. The larger building is where the dinner and music happens. It was set up with many tables for the guests. Also has a fully stocked bar. Restrooms. Nice ones. The senior staff kept in touch with each other via walkie-talkies, so the event moved along and timelines were maintained. This place is worth a look. read more

We highly recommend The Oaks at Heavenly Venue in Helotes, Texas! From the very first tour, we were blown away not only by the stunning beauty and peaceful ambiance of the venue but also by the incredible professionalism and dedication of their staff--especially Ezdra, the venue coordinator. Ezdra was outstanding throughout the entire process. She was professional, detail-oriented, and went above and beyond to ensure every question was answered--even the ones she may not have encountered before. Her support made all the difference in making the planning experience smooth and stress-free, especially for us parents trying to give our kids the best day possible. The venue itself is breathtaking and so well thought out. It truly is a one-stop shop--from the ceremony site and cocktail hour space to the reception hall, bridal suite, and groom's suite. Everything is on-site and conveniently arranged, making it easy for vendors and guests alike. They even provide golf carts to bring guests from the parking area up to the ceremony site--such a thoughtful touch to ensure everyone gets to the celebration without hassle. The Oaks regularly hosts open houses, which gave us the chance to see potential vendors in action and visualize how everything would come together. They were also incredibly flexible, allowing multiple appointments to ensure every detail was covered. The outdoor ceremony space is magical and needs very little decorating--unless you want to add your own flair. Since our first visit, they've updated the cocktail hour area with a gorgeous pergola and lighting, making it even more special. The reception hall comfortably accommodated our 150 guests and looked absolutely stunning. Their selection of decorations, table linens, runners, lighting and chargers is generous and elegant. They really have thought of everything! The bartending team was fantastic, too--skilled, friendly, and spot-on with signature drinks. They also took care of cutting the cake and provided all the plates and utensils, making that part of the celebration so easy and seamless. And their sister catering company is phenomenal and comes highly recommended. Our experience from start to finish was seamless and joyful. The bride and groom were thrilled with every part of the process and the big day itself. We truly felt supported and cared for by everyone--the staff, florists, wait staff, bartenders, even the security team and the owner. Each person was kind, patient, and committed to making the day perfect. We are so grateful to have worked with such an amazing team. I had my wedding on 10/12/2024 and TOAH was a perfect venue for our special day! The staff was wonderful the entire experience. We were able to make payments to the venue over a 2 year time frame. they set up my tables exactly how I asked with the colors I requested. The lighting was beautiful! they drove my guest from the gravel parking lot up to the ceremony area with a golf cart. They provided all the mixers for the bar. I had my wedding reception at The Oaks at Heavenly on 11/25/2023, and every interaction I had with the venue staff before, during, and after the event was very pleasant and straight forward. They are locally owned and operated, and the staff makes you feel like family. They are up-front with their pricing (had no hidden or extra fees). My deposit was promptly returned a week following the wedding. They were very professional, easy-going, and were always easy to get in contact with. One month before the wedding they contacted us to schedule a meeting at the venue to choose our layout, linens, china etc. and on actual wedding day they had tables set-up for us as planned -- all we had to do was add in our center pieces, place cards, decor etc. My wedding reception "wishlist" was very long, but I feel like I got everything I wanted because of choosing this venue, and the creative freedom that came with it! I loved that we were able to select our own vendors for cake,flowers, DJ, etc. this really helps you take full advantage of your budget. Big selling points for us were: 1. BYOB (we did total-wine delivery day of and then used their bartenders/bar set-ups) 2. Full day rental included in price (11AM- 12AM) 3. In-house catering (tasted good for great price!) 4. Up to 250 Guest count chairs (We invited 200, had about 135 and space was perfect -- we loved not feeling limited to who we could invite!) read more

This venue was so perfect in making out wedding day vision come to life. We got married on 9/30/23 and reading some of the reviews, I can definitely say we had no issues with ac whatsoever. The grounds have that rustic feel to them and while yes, there is gravel to walk on they do have a golf cart to escort the guests which people loved. They have so many things to offer-chairs, linens, some decor, in house bartending, their own caterer (if you want) and of course the heavenly staff. Devin and Perla were AWESOME. I lost track of how many times I would text Perla but she always answered and was so nice. Devin was on site with us and helped us with anything we needed the day before our wedding becasue we even had our rehearsal dinner here catered by Heavenly Gourmet. All in all, I wish I had a reason to go back there consistently because I love it and was so happy that we picked this venue to start our lives together. read more

We attended a wedding here last night and while the venue is beautiful here's why it's getting one star from me: -It was ROASTING HOT inside, like sauna hot I put a lot of effort into looking pretty for the wedding but hair & makeup went to crap because it was so damn hot -Limited handicapped parking -Gravel everywhere which made walking difficult -Tables & chairs crammed in together -The layout of the ballroom is awkward for wedding party entrance -Tables set up near the entrance you have to walk through 15-20 tables to get to the dance floor -The whole layout is just bad you have to walk all the way to the entrance to get to the restrooms and the bar read more

We attended a wedding here on Saturday. I will agree with the other reviews about the gravel and parking. You have to walk up a gravel hill to get to the venue. Luckily, they were running a golf cart to take guests up the hill. After the wedding, however, we had to walk down to our car. This was quite challenging in heels. The outside of the venue is rustic. It is VERY old but I guess that's what gives it the rustic feel that some are looking for? There is a lot of moss around the gazebo. It seemed a little run down. The white chairs were also dirty. The actual ceremony was outside and yes, it was very hot. We live in Texas, I don't blame the venue for that. The bride and groom decided to have an outdoor wedding. There are old, steep stairs to get down from the ceremony to the reception area. The reception hall was nice. It is an odd layout and you're walking through all the tables to get to the bar, food or restroom. It was crowded and uncomfortable when we went to get our plates. Staff was exceptionally nice. The decorations were beautifully done. The food was the best part. It was absolutely delicious and prepared well. The portion size was impressive. The reception hall was ice cold. That was nice after coming in from the outside ceremony. If the reception hall had been as hot as other reviews stated, we would have left. I think they listened because it was cold and comfortable inside. Some of the ladies even grabbed their husbands suit jackets. Overall, it was a nice wedding. I'm not even sure where to start on how disappointing this venue and the owner is. I had my wedding here about 2 weeks ago and while Devin, the staff who actually came to the wedding, was amazing.....everyone else is incompetent, rude, and VERY unprofessional. I toured the venue last year after getting engaged and loved Loretta.... She seemed so helpful and awesome and like she really cared about her brides experience.....however this is the LAST time I would speak with her because the 10 months leading up to my wedding she left me on read, didn't respond to my several emails, and even hung up on me one time when I finally got a hold of her. My wedding coordinator finally got a hold of her a month before the wedding, while we were stranded on the side of the road of the venue because her staff was AN HOUR AND HALF LATE to our final walk through and hadn't planned on showing up at all until we called, and Loretta was very rude and unhelpful. She will only respond to a Coordinator if she thinks her (already bad) rep is on the line. And they either never show up to a meeting THEY scheduled with you or they are extremely late...either way extremely unprofessional. You will ALWAYS hear from them when THEY need to collect a payment though!!!!! It's all they really care about anyway. They were also doing tours day of my wedding....so there were times where we needed a staff member, like when the power went out while we were getting ready, and their assistant told us we'd have to wait because they were doing a tour???? No I already paid to be here......but they had already gotten their money from me so what did they care, onto the next victims right?? Her catering company and staff was almost just as bad as the venue.... They forgot our Mac n cheese bar completely (according ti the servers) and just used the Mac n cheese they had from the kids plates and someone from the wait staff had to run to H‑E‑B to get the toppings real quick. This of course was AFTER we reminded them about it mid reception. Wait staff that was prepaid for didn't show up, and they forgot the chargers we had picked out completely. At the end of the night the bar tenders also dug into the top tier of our wedding cake, didn't even cut pieces they were just eating off of it with forks, that we were saving and wanting to take home.... And now here I am 3 weeks after my wedding and I am just now getting my refund for the staff that didn't show up and our deposit. We had to email, call, and text Loretta AND her staff several times just to get this done. It's like pulling teeth to get anything done with this place. I fully believe they had no intention of returning the nearly $900 refund until we RELENTLESSLY annoyed them about it.... read more

Today we attended a wedding at this venue and I will start setting the picture by saying it was 105 degrees! There were a lot of good things about this venue that I want to give credit for but I am giving it 2 stars due to the fact that it's Texas and the AC was not great. The parking lot is gravel and uneven. It's not terrible except for the fact that I was wearing heals. There were some paved Areas when we got to the buildings but they were not connected. Still not completely terrible. The wedding was out side and cute but again to not have some type of pavement to walk down the isle seemed scary to me due the fact that most females will wear heals. It was hot like super hot and that's not the venues fault but when we went inside I didn't feel like I got much relief. I was pretty much fanning my self all night . I didn't like the fact that I got my hair done, make up done and nice cloths to feel sticky all night. The AC really needs to be blasting cold for events like this. If you are considering this place I would recommend it in the winter and not summer. The good quality's were the bathrooms were clean with nice decor. The staff were friendly, accommodating and fast. They cleared tables and kept the trashed picked up. Those all are great things to experience at a wedding but sadly it's hard to enjoy when you feel like you are in a sauna. read more

I recently attended a wedding at this venue, it is not very pretty. When we first arrived we noticed that the grass was very tall and hadn't been cut in weeks. Up by the alter they had a huge brown metal building covering some sort of well. It was an eye sore and ruined the look of alter. The reception hall was made of cylinder blocks and they were painted very poorly to look like brick. The reception hall was extremely hot and the air was not well circulated. The only reason I am giving this venue 2 stars is because the had some really cool whiskey barrel table outside. read more

I wish I had sufficient words to explain just how out of this world amazing this venue and it's people are. My husband and i knew this was our venue the moment we met Loretta and walked the grounds. Loretta made us feel like family from day one. Working and bending over backwards to make our dream come true on our budget. She allowed us to have a package wedding which was the easiest process that a bride could have. She was always a text or phone call away at any time of the day. She also allowed us to have rehearsal dinner at the venue the night before the wedding and my gosh it was just gorgeous. We did in-house floral, Julie was AHMAZINGGGG. I had a vision and the outcome was tenfold what I could have ever even dreamt of. We ended up having an indoor ceremony due to ugly weather, and the turn around and transition was so seamless. My whole day and wedding process was a full dream thanks to Loretta and her team. I can't imagine having kicked off forever with my husband anywhere else but here. read more
