Breakfast patio

My Husband and I stayed here for a night on our trip to Yosemite. We thought it was decently priced. If you're looking for something cozy and not too far from the park this is the place!! Our room was clean, it's definitely a little dated but we believe it added to the character of the inn in a positive way. Breakfast was great and they have a nice back patio to eat as well as inside. We got a king size bed and it was super comfy and definitely clean. We will absolutely be back.

Room was spacious and the tv worked great!

Great hotel great price. Clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Bring your pets for $30. Free continental breakfast Breakfast wasn't the most delicious but the ladies in charge were amazing made you feel like family

Bathroom

Absolutely disgusting room. Dirty, old, run down and smelled I would never stay here again or recommend this to anyone regardless of the cost.

I really enjoyed the time I spent here for a couple days. It looks like they had a renovation recently in our part of the inn. The prices were very reasonable & everything was clean. The only issue I had was the early check in fee of $75 so we had to wait around the town for two hours which wasn't too bad I guess, the toilet didn't properly flush so I was a bit confused if that's ever going to get fixed as well, and lastly when I was putting some jackets away on the hanger one randomly broke apart very easily & I wasn't about to get blamed for something that i hardly had control over. I think it was from a previous user. The beds had a new linen feel & very comfortable. Full course breakfast is a real treat too.

Hampton Inn Oakhurst-Yosemite - Breakfast Area

Hampton Inn Oakhurst-Yosemite

(46 reviews)

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn…read more The room was very nice, clean, comfortable, and accommodating. I especially appreciated having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. I also loved that the air conditioning was already on when we arrived--it made the room feel welcoming and comfortable right away. If you're staying here, I definitely recommend checking out Oakhurst Grill & Whiskey Lounge 41. The steak was delicious! Pandori Express, the Indian restaurant nearby, was also excellent. The continental breakfast was another highlight. The ladies taking care of the breakfast area were absolutely amazing and truly went above and beyond. They worked hard to keep everything clean, organized, and stocked, and they were so attentive to the guests. They really deserve to be recognized for their excellent service. The gentleman who checked us in that morning was also very helpful and provided great customer and suggestions. I would definitely give him five stars as well. I do have a couple of constructive observations that I hope management will take in the spirit intended. In the afternoon, there was a young lady with long hair at the front desk. I didn't get her name, but unfortunately, her customer service came across as though she didn't really want to be there. When you speak with her, she answers the question, but there isn't much eye contact or engagement. There was also no greeting or goodbye. At one point during breakfast, I mentioned to her that the coffee was out. She acknowledged it, but when we were leaving, I checked the same pot and the coffee still had not been refilled. I think some additional customer-service training could be helpful. A simple hello, eye contact, a friendly attitude, and a goodbye can make a big difference in a guest's experience. One other small observation was the bottom of the shower. It had a somewhat dirty appearance. I understand this may be partly due to the type of material or finish used, and I'm not necessarily saying it wasn't cleaned. However, the material seems to hold onto a look that makes the shower floor appear dirty even when it may be clean. It would be great if the hotel could find a better cleaning solution or consider a different finish/material that would eliminate that appearance. Overall, though, I had a good experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and accommodating, and I would definitely come back. The breakfast staff and morning front-desk gentleman deserve special recognition for making our stay even better. I'm sharing the positives and the constructive feedback because I think this is a hotel with a lot going for it, and a few small improvements could make the guest experience even better. I would definitely recommend staying here! And the changes this would be a Five Star!

1/5 - Terrible Experience Due to Strong Pet Urine Odor…read more Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay. The first room we were given absolutely reeked of pet urine. The smell was so strong that we asked to be moved to another room, hoping it was just an issue with that particular room. Unfortunately, the second room also smelled like pet urine. At that point, we essentially spent the entire night breathing in the odor. Since the hotel windows do not open, there was no way to air out the room or get any fresh air. This is not a smell that can simply be covered up with air freshener or regular cleaning. When pet urine has soaked into carpeting, the carpet and potentially the padding underneath need to be properly treated or replaced. In my opinion, replacing the carpet with a hard-surface flooring such as plank flooring would make a significant difference, especially in a pet-friendly hotel. I understand that hotels allowing pets will occasionally have accidents in rooms, but guests should not be expected to stay in a room that smells strongly of urine--especially after already requesting a room change for the exact same issue. Overall, this was a terrible experience and made it extremely difficult to feel comfortable or enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, based on the condition of both rooms we were given, I would not recommend staying here unless the odor and flooring issues are properly addressed.

Eddie greeted us upon arrival and walked us around the area, showed us local sites, and gave us local secrets about the area. We found out about Bass Lake and never would have known what a great local place it is. We stayed in the Cedar room and it exceeded our expectations. The room was a good size, huge bathroom and little mini fridge. Double doors opened to the outside and we had the main door that opened to the hallway. Our room was at the very beginning so no noise at all. The AC was cool and the fan was quiet. We enjoyed the bed and breakfast concept and mingled with the other patrons while we were there. Reservations were made in advanced for a standard room with a king bed. Days before I arrived, the hotel upgraded me to a king suite. Claire checked my wife and I in. The Hemlock Restaurant and Bar is open in the evenings for dinner and drinks from 5PM to 9PM. Both my wife and I had the loco moco for breakfast. We both didn't like it, as we've had better. It would be safer to stick with the American favorites like waffles, French toast or bacon (or sausage) with eggs. The restroom downstairs is a modern one with common handwashing stations and individual coed rooms with toilets. The hotel was woefully short staffed during my stay. Claire who checked us in told me she worked a 12 hour shift as a manager left for better opportunities. The evening front desk clerk also worked a 12 hour shift as I saw him at night and in the morning. When they weren't busy checking people in/out, or handling requests from guests, they worked the restaurant with Cole, who was also working by himself. This was a nice hotel for me. It gave me everything that I needed for a quick stay. Although it didn't affect me too much, a few more employees working here would make things better.
