There are relaxing spaces for adults on the front patio and a large family and dog friendly garden with play area to the rear. All dogs will be given a very warm welcome, we have treats, toys, water, blankets, dog beer and even their own dinner bowl on a Sunday. The food menu is varied and includes traditional pub dishes, Sunday carvey and exciting specials all using local produce. Kids and Senior menus are available along with a selection of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. A charity quiz night is held every Monday and our poker tournament is every Thursday. Sunday nights are popular with great live music including rock, blues, folk and the open mic night. Please see our website for details. The pub has a large car park and is close to local bus routes and the IOW ferry. We are ideally located for the high street shops or the marina near by. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

We had a quick look inside and was warmly greeted with energy by Manager. We hadn't booked and despite this he found us a very nice cosy corner. The decor is fresh, clean and depending where you want to site can be cosy and relaxing. Waitresses were very attentive, positive, and engaging. Food: we had the specials, soup of the day followed by one order for a delicious Honey Roast Ham Hock and one Roast Chicken. Both dishes were superb, and I would recommend anyone to try the Ham Hock while it's on the specials, really was lovely. Drink: we stuck with Ale and had some local Ringwood Blonde, they did have a good choice to select from. Good to see pubs/restaurants stocking local brews. 5 stars says it all for this venue, warm, welcoming, friendly and fantastic cuisine, couldn't recommend it enough. I couldn't see how a previous reviewer say this venue is more pub than restaurant... It's so not. Its a restaurant with a bar. Also someone said about it being over priced, well compared to their local Harvester is might be but to us, it perfect valve for this food and service. See my Tuesday review for over priced restaurant... The Angel & Blue Pig was half price of my previous review but had better service, atmosphere and food.

The early Bird doscount makes for a super cheap early evening or lunch time meal and every time thay I have gone there, the food was freshly cooked and served up promtly (Which is handy for those of us heading in on a lunch hour) They have just added a new evening menu which will perhaps add something a bit more event like to eating there at night. The batter on fish was grease and like the chips over cooked and I should have returned the whole lot but we've had a 6 hr journey and wanted to enjoy fish chips by the sea which is normally nicer but not these. However the best option is take away fish and chips and take the short walk down to the quay were there is a selection of benches. The chip shop also does daily specials for oap's. As you can imagine, it gets very busy in the summer evenings. Worth the wait though.
