Camilla was A-MA-ZING! It is no small feat to relax me - a chronic overthinker with anxiety and…read morePTSD. Her massage therapy managed to nearly put me to sleep! I like firm pressure, and she had no problem whatsoever bringing that to the table. She was intuitive and committed to relieving the significant tension in my neck and shoulder. I found her through the great reviews on Google maps, and her website was incredibly professional and easy to book with. I tried the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage for the first time, and I really enjoyed it! It was nice to have areas worked that are normally skipped with Swedish and other types of massages. And that's not all... I used to go to a couple of different franchises as a member, and House of Harmony is so much better! I was greeted with aromatherapy right when I walked in, and she continued to use it throughout the session. Camilla doesn't skimp on the aromatherapy OR the water - she gave me a bottle instead of one of those little paper cups! The center strikes a great balance of homey & professional, with lovely lights, artwork, and decor that gives it personality vs the more cold and sterile atmosphere at the franchises. The linens on the massage table were heavenly. Also, her membership packages are reasonably priced, and very flexible. She didn't try to sell me on them either - I brought them up to her. There isn't that feeling of pressure to get a membership or buy products that the other places have. That said, I was happy to get a membership and can't wait for my next appointment!

As a former licensed massage therapist, it is HARD to find good therapist. Mainly because we are…read morepicky, but we had to be during school... I can't shut that side off. So if I fall asleep during a massage, it is good! Camillia worked my areas I felt needed focus and still managed to give the rest my my tired body attention too. DO NOT let her tiny frame fool you. Oh she has proper pressure and knows when to adjust well. She read my muscles and adjusted her pressure as she went. I love fellow healers that get in tune with their customers bodies/minds. It truly does make the massage amazing. The massage spot was easy to find. I loved how simple yet meaningful everything was. The water sounds and aromatherapy immediately calmed my nerves. The lighting wasn't too dim to feel creepy. The music isn't anything to throw off the mood of relaxation. I really love that I decided to come here. It's been a good 8 hrs since my massage and I haven't felt an ache. I will be back!

The massage rooms are similar to how cubicles look, but go almost to the ceiling. Keyword, almost. At some point another worker opened our room door to see if the room was available and I do wonder if the other person waiting for a massage got a full moon from me. The massage therapist also play music in their rooms, separately. So if the person in the room next to you had music going it's two of the same or different tunes just clashing. I don't mind that the massage therapist didn't really speak too much English but just the Swedish massage I received was probably one of the weirdest ones yet. I know no two massages are the same but I wonder if the people at this location are licensed? Massage seekers definitely be aware. I left a little more tense than I arrived I think, and my neck is a lot low sore than it would be after a typical Swedish massage. It was not the relaxing massage experience I was hoping for, and yet, I still tipped.

I researched bodywork in the area, then stumbled upon an option for Trigger Point Massage. Sounded compelling, but still wasn't sure... I phoned, they got me in an hour later. Met the practicitioner. Massage therapy is like pizza: even when it's bad, it's pretty good. But when you're in pain and…read moreyou really need competent help, your standards go up, and you start to notice that a lot of so-called 'therapeutic' massage is a bit sketchy. Enter Steven: I needed corrective massage to maintain my performance goals while training my body intensely for obstacle course racing. I took recommendations for therapists left and right, but couldn't find anyone who made a noticeable difference. Then a friend recommended a therapist named Steven, who she said would "turn my body into a wet noodle" (in the best kind of way). Since finding Steven, I cannot imagine going to anyone else for a massage. He is not only extremely well-versed in all forms of massage, but he is more knowledgable about every single body part, tendon and muscle in my body than my own doctor! I have not had a pain that I've brought to him that he couldn't completely relieve. I even once had terrible migraine headache that I'd been suffering through for three days when I went in to see him one evening. I didn't think massage could do much for it, but incredibly, he took away the tension in one session. It was remarkable. I've also been to Steven with neck pain, and locked up muscles and joints from rigorous athletic training, he knew what to do in each case to provide relief. Steven is simply the very best when it comes to precise, effective, pain relieving body work.
