When I finally reached Tahoe City on Day 7 I was told Alpenglow was the place to go for a shoe upgrade. Not only did I find the perfect pair of Teva hiking sandals, I also got some blister patches. The two guys helping me couldn't have been nicer and I'll definitely be back. I was in and out in 10 mins. You guys are legends, thanks for keeping me on the trail. Christian has a broad boot selection and selected multiple boots for me to try on. He offers a great value. He does not charge for his fitting time or push upsells (as many other boot fitters do). He just charges for the boots. He works magic with the boots to make them a perfect fit. And he is easy to work with and very flexible.

We were greeted in the parking lot by Greg who gave us some quick advice, and then we went inside and were helped by Jeremy, who managed to squeeze us in on a Sunday afternoon, even though he was busy with other stuff. And then Susie later helped with a super friendly and helpful checkout. And the bill was so reasonable (low dare I say!). And this comes on the heels of other expert and friendly help from their crew in both the ski and bike department (thank you, Stan, for excellent ski advice during the annual swap!).
