While the food is awesome, it is unfortunately brought down by disorganized nature of the operation.
1) You never know where they will be at any given time
2) Replies to requests for location are vague or late on their Facebook page
3) The phone number listed on their Facebook page is NEVER answered (I tried five times)
4) When they're at a location (such as recently at World Square) closing times were random and seemed to be dictated by how the proprietors felt on any given night, sometimes they closed early, sometimes late.
In summary, I think this is a hobby for the proprietors and not really a serious commercial enterprise. Who wants to get attached to food when you don't know where or when you'll be able to have it next? The cruisy, lackadaisical nature of the two guys in the Airstream, while quaint, gets old very quickly and you can't help but get the vague feeling they think they're doing you a favor instead of the other way around.
PLUS: Great American chow
CONS: Amateur hour logistics, communication. As an American, I'm used to a lot better service than this back home. Maybe Australians don't mind the haphazardness.
TIP TO OPERATORS: Get a professional manager who can organize you, you've got a great product, shame it's a game of bingo for anyone to actually be a regular customer. read more
