The reservation system was flawed. It looked interesting and was very busy & people were very anxious to get in.

Excellent service, food and margaritas. Everything is smoked over wood and coals. Spells fantastic too. Tucked in a little alleyway.

Don't come here expecting legit Mexican food but a modern twist on some staples. Loud party area,…read morefun drinks and friendly staff make this a hip meeting area for large groups. Drinks were better than the food. They stuff the families toward the back but lack any amenities (no changing table) except a high chair. Service started off friendly but it took a while to get someone to take our order and then they forgot our dish which came out cold when we asked for it. Then we had to flag someone down to pay the bill. The watermelon salad was tasty but not complex, tossed with a few cucumbers and pistachios. The corn lollipops with spicy mayo sauce were probably the best dish. The beef empanadas were cold and average though the salsa was an interesting pickled onion. Definitely skip the octopus dish- it was dry, over cooked and lacked flavor though the presentation looked promising. It came with squares of polenta and dallops of potato mash with a dramatic squid ink streak across the dish but no interesting flavors stood out. All those dishes and still left hungry. The Guadalajara passion fruit drink was easy to sip and not too strong. The beer was average. This is more of a spot to grab some mixed cocktails and a few snacks but not meal worthy.

Out of all the restaurants that I tried in Sydney, this was definitely the most reasonably priced…read moreone offering good food of course. We started off with Margarita's - they have $10 margaritas on Mondays (or perhaps all weekdays). We lost count of how many we had, they were so good. On to the food, we tried a little bit of everything - we ordered corn lollipops, jalapeño poppers, grilled halloumi, batata bravas to start and we shared 2 items from the grill which I can't remember (probably because of the margarita's). We ended with churros & chocolate sauce which was awesome. Service was good and the staff waiting us was very friendly. He also recommended us portions for certain items to match our party size. For instance, we didn't have to order 2 portions of an appetizer instead we could order one and a half portion which I think was great. It allowed us to chose more dishes than more quantity of the same dish.

Good Mexican is always hard to find and this spot is well hidden on level 6 of Westfield building…read more This level reminded me of an airport terminal. We started with corn chips with a bean dip. The corn chips were clearly fresh and that made a big difference. Really yum and the dip was perfect to match. Next up was grilled corn with a creamy butter coriander sauce. This was nothing special. Was more looking for something a little bit spicer considering its a Mexican. The ancient grain salad was served. This salad contained quinoa, broccoli, pumpkin, chia and pomegranate seeds with a tequila sauce. This was a great choice on the menu and definitely would choose this one again. For the mains we selected Beef enchiladas and Cod. The beef enchiladas was pretty good but not exceptional and was a little light in the meat department. The cod was not what you would traditionally expect from a Mexican so figured it was a good choice to go with. It turned out to be a stellar one. The cod was beautiful and had a nice smoky sauce to go with it. Amazingly there was room for dessert and decided to opt for the Chilli Brownie. The brownie was made with dark chocolate and didn't have that overly heavy after feeling that you get from some desserts. Just didn't really notice the chilli in it though but still nice. The experience was really good in this place. The atmosphere was very relaxed and would certainly come back again.

Tried a variety off the menu today and really enjoyed ourselves. The beef and pork tacos were yum…read moreand juicy. Guac and corn chips were tasty and zesty. Crab croquette were good and well worth the price ($20 for 4). Wasn't a huge fan of the oysters, and the chicken wings were good but not as good as the tacos and croquettes. We tried the corn semolina for dessert and I think I was craving something sweet and this wasn't! Otherwise we really enjoyed our meal and we'll be back for sure with friends.

We sat upstairs in the outdoor space. I really wanted Horchata, but they were out of it. Since I was quite hungry, I ordered Tempura Barramundi (fish) Tacos and Smoked Brisket Burger. The Tacos were delicious! The Tempura Barramundi were delightfully crunchy, perfectly tender and flaky, and well seasoned. The jalapeño crema, cabbage, onion, and coriander were nice additions and worked well together. Smoked Brisket Burger was also very enjoyable, consisting of sliced wagyu brisket, salsa verde, avocado crema, lettuce, pickled jalapeño, as well as queso on a potato bun. This was served with shoestring fries. That Wagyu brisket was rich, robust in beef flavor with creamy texture, tender, and juicy. The fries were also tasty, perfectly crispy and addicting. Service was okay. We had to order at the bar, were given a number to place at our table, then were served at the table.

Walk in and head toward the back of the restaurant and you will find stairs leading you to a large outdoor courtyard. We have rested the most delicious and perfectly spicy jalapeño margaritas. We fell into this place and would definitely come back!
