I was assured we would get the same instructor every week, so that we could appropriately track progress and monitor improvement. Our second lesson came up and I received a call from a different instructor to confirm the lesson. When I asked why it was a different instructor, I was told that it wasn't possible to have the same instructor weekly as they initially had promised, and then they took it upon themselves to CANCEL our lesson we had for that day without asking. We had planned our day around the lesson and got zero notice. Flakey, dishonest, rude, A horrible business. Would not recommend to anyone.

Cons: I found him to be condescending, and he did not provide much structure to the lessons. He would constantly take phone calls in the car. I did not feel safe going with him. NextStreet provided me with various online tutorials/pamphlets for skills to practice on my own time, and the pricing was comparable to Buffington. Although it was more difficult to get into NextStreet, I do not see a reason why you would use Buffington over NextStreet.

World Class Driver's Ed…read more Licensing a new driver, with all the requirements, including driver's ed, can be a maelstrom of confusion. I had already traveled the gauntlet to get my son's permit (although The Next Street can facilitate this as well), and entered the arena to understand and enroll him in the required driver's ed. I came across The Next Street, a company that is absolutely best in class. I called and was quickly connected to a terrifically informative, organized, caring and delightful representative, who explained the system with an ease that made a potentially complicated project very simple. an excellent start that took away the anxiety I was feeling about getting this right. the program includes both education and the actual driver training all at a very fair price. immediately after signing up, I received numerous emails with tons of beautifully organized details, that made it perfectly clear what all the forthcoming steps would be. this was followed with the good fortune of being enrolled in a class with an extraordinary talent; a teacher who has kept my son engaged with tremendous knowledge, excellent ability to communicate, a great ability to manage mostly teenagers in the zoom class, a sense of humor and a way of entertaining while educating and keeping all enthusiastic. this is truly best in class.

Driving seemed so daunting and their team was able to deconstruct it for me and break it up into manageable steps. That's how I learn best. Ivey from their office was so helpful, she called and responded promptly and empathetically to all my questions and gripes and was a good listener. Scheduling was smooth and I passed the test in my first attempt. I took classes at their competitor in Westport two years ago and it was a completely different experience. We just completed one of their summer camps though that was a completely different experience. They had 26 campers in a tiny room with 5 staff members. Kyle unfortunately left the company that week and my daughter went from loving it to coming home crying every day. When I confronted Irina, I was told that they had 26 kids and just could not cope, which I understood, however taking on that many kids is completely in her control, so it is therefore hard to understand why it happened. That being said the thing that insulted me the most was that she said that my child was used to having everything done for her at home which is why she wasn't capable of finishing her dress on her own. She is actually a really good student that requires very little help with tasks or learning something new but the reality is she is 8 - and relatively new to sewing - which is why she was struggling. In the end her 9 year old friend had to pin her in to the dress for the fashion show. I hate writing this review as under Kyle's leadership, it was such a magical place. I would think twice about sending your younger child here and if you do, make sure there are no more than 12 in the class.
