They were a godsend to me. I'm a much older driver (never needed or cared to drive before moving to the suburbs). Driving seemed so daunting and their team was able to deconstruct it for me and break it up into manageable steps. That's how I learn best. Ivey from their office was so helpful, she called and responded promptly and empathetically to all my questions and gripes and was a good listener. Scheduling was smooth and I passed the test in my first attempt. I took classes at their competitor in Westport two years ago and it was a completely different experience. The driver's test pass rate on the day my child took the test was barely 50%, if that. Either they don't prepare their students well, or they're churning. Perhaps both. So be prepared to pay Fresh Green Light for a re-test ($199) or go to the DMV. Fresh Green Light charges $159 for the re-take -- a 10 minute test that a DMV agent gives. Re-testing creates a nice revenue stream for them. read more

Fantastic program to train young drivers. I find Prisila and Ivey to be very responsive to any queries or requests on email. Amedeo in particular has been a great instructor to our boy and Allie on the last lesson was very nice, making sure he was dropped off home after his last lesson at nite. Although Peggy is a fantastic instructor ( and I mean fantastic!) I have to give FGL a single star. My problem is they are not delivering on what the buyer is purchasing. Hoping my child would complete the program this summer I was sorely mistaken. There are ZERO private sessions available before two months out. Unsure how this was not properly conveyed upon signing up. They made this program all about convenience. I can assure you it is not. Beyond frustrating. read more

Convenient, professional, and flexible. The program definitely prepared my son well to hit the road. I highly recommend the program.

There are several options for driving schools in this area but we chose FGL because it offers classes close to our home as well as in surrounding towns. You can take classes in whichever town has the class that suits your schedule. Another perk is that they offer to pick your student up from home or school for the road lessons. Many times our daughter was picked up right at the end of the school day and then dropped home at the end of the lesson. You can't beat that for convenience. FGL also offers the ability to take your road test at their facility instead of at the DMV. We went with this option and were very pleased because the roads she drove in the test were the same ones she had been learning on through FGL and they also take the test in FGL cars, which by that point, are very familiar to them. Another point I'd like to make is that FGL was very thorough in that they sent emails out to my daughter to remind her of what paperwork needed to be completed and when, and also made sure that she showed up at the road test with everything she needed to have with her. We were very happy with Fresh Green Light and will use them again when our other daughter is ready to start driving. read more

This is an amazing driving school. They really understand teens and all the pressure that they are under. They are warm, flexible and understanding. Our daughter's primary instructor, Peggy in Wilton is an an incredible instructor. She had made herself available to all of her students and patiently addresses their questions and concerns. My daughter faced many challenges and passed her driving test the first time. This was no easy feat. Fresh Green Light was a great driving school experience. Liked the flexible class schedule -- my son was enrolled in Wilton but took 2 classes in Westport that fit his schedule better. And the instructors were terrific, especially Peggy. She knows how to talk to 16 year olds, and taught my son more than just driving basics. read more

Could not have wished for a better driver's ed program for my son. The flexibility to be able to take classes in different towns was great, as was the ability to choose where the driving lessons took place.
