As a consignor: The young lady running the shop was pleasant and very professional when I scheduled and arrived at my consignment appointment. She was helpful and courteous, and I'm happy with the prices she put on my items. As a shopper: They have a great selection and range of all sorts of stuff at really fair prices. I found some really great values! They happened to have a pair of shoes that I've been wanting for awhile. They are brand new for such a good deal! I'm so so happy! I also found a smoking hot outfit that's perfect on my mom for a total of $16! She's so thrilled with it!! In summation, check out this little gem, tucked away in the countryside if you're a lady or guy who likes to bargain shop! Don't miss the men's section off to the side of the women's department. Yeah, this place is very large! Lots of racks to explore. Be prepared to sort through racks, like at a thrift store. Lots of room means lots of selection. They have a focus on biker gear- Harley stuff and leathers at the front of the store. Explore the interior rooms for cocktail dresses, gowns, fur coats, suits for women, new Uggs, camo/outdoorsman gear. The end.

This time, in person, they can't schedule an appointment but I can come back Saturday (tomorrow) & then they can schedule an appointment. All that talk they could have just scheduled & never a thank you for my business. The way I was treated, If I wasn't white, I'd assume they were racist. I guess I don't look the way they want me to look? I heard them schedule an appointment while I was in the store with someone with a typical time frame. Don't waste your time unless maybe they already know you I guess. Maybe why their selection is so sad. Looks like a dodged a really large bullet reading a previous review with unable to get paid for sold items & get back their unsold items.

The selection is fantastic and everything is so organized. You are warmly welcomed when you enter the store and the sales people are so pleasant and helpful when you have questions regarding fashion. I am often complimented on the way I dress and it's because I buy clothes at Purple Turtle that I could never afford at retail. Love this place!

I would recommend this store to anyone seeking holistic supplements. There are neat metaphysical healing tools as well which is totally up my alley! The prices for the products were pretty fair and of quality. Thank you Victoria! I will be most definitely be back!

Was in a large wedding party this past month and there were just so many things that went wrong…read more Not sure if this was entirely the owners fault (as he orders the tuxedos) but I wouldn't say it was all about quality and service. To start, he promised the Groom a "Groomsmen fitting party" where he would provide pizza and beers if we chose him for our tuxes. So the groom-to-be did, and when we showed up there was no pizza and the owners wife popped up with a few beers right before we finished. Really that's not a big deal but let's get to the important stuff. For the big day there were countless problems with the tuxes that clearly showed a lack of detail from the owner, one shoe was ripped, of the 9 tuxes ordered, 8 had bowties as they should, but the 9th was a regular tie, so one of the groomsmen didn't even match. Some of them were missing the cufflinks and button covers that are supposed to come with the tuxes. There was trash in the pockets when they were recieved just overall a lot of us felt like for $200 tuxedo rentals there were way to many things overlooked. All the while he called many of us to try and work out times for us to pick up his tuxes and return them around HIS schedule since he had certain places to be. Customer service just wasn't much of a priority here.

Since most places here seem only to have a few reviews each, I thought I would make it a personal project to review each place I try to help fellow travelers in their searches. I was shocked to find this place had such low reviews; I found it absolutely refreshing to find such a beautifully curated shop with clothes and jewelry that really spoke to my interests. Most of the one star reviews said they felt ignored when they visited, and maybe that's where I differ from other shoppers as I prefer to take my time and have the space to do so. When I started a conversation with her, we had a lovely chat and she was very warm and kind. I am tempted to keep this gem to myself but my conscience won't let me do that...this is a place you should definitely make a regular haunt.

Somedays when I had a quiet afternoon and I needed a gift or a reason to cheer myself up that was in walking distance, I would go to the Clothes Vine. The owner and her daughter are the nicest people in the world. The shop stocks unique apparel in a range of sizes which is fabulous and you can get something beautiful, wearable, and not totally fruity at the shop. I particularly love her Fall/Winter clothing which always has a vintage feel, it's chic without being impractical to wear and makes you feel like a lady. I'm sure it would be the perfect place to get a dress for a wedding, graduation, etc. in the Spring. The windows are always a treat, too! In addition to the clothing, there are also hats, accessories, some household items, and beautiful jewelry. Very unique, funky, and affordable jewelry. I got my Mother her Mother's Day/Birthday present there on two occasions and both pieces are in Mum's favourite jewelry collections. It's the most gorgeous shop downtown. Sometimes I forget that it's there, because I am so programmed to go to the mall or go on-line to shop on-line at Boden (a similar-type shop). It's well-worth the trip downtown or out to Carlisle to visit this hidden gem for a gift or to treat yourself on a crummy day.
