Booked an appointment last week, explain to me how the next available appointment is in September? Then I asked them to explain how if booking is that far out, how do they expect us to get our treatment? You do a consult first, then wait two months just for the treatment? "Oh he'll refer you to someone else" Why the hell would I go to the doctor that has to refer me to another doctor just to treat what is wrong with me? read more

Awful organization. The doctors here cancel your appointment when they feel like they need to. If they need you to reschedule its out months from when they canceled it. If you have neuro issues i suggest taking your business else where they do not put their patients first. They are understaffed but continue to accept new patients. i reccomend they should stop accepting new patients and I recommend you to not go here unless you want to get seen two years from now. read more

The Neuron Clinic - The reviews speak for itself - Neurologist Near Me - Chula Vista, California

Absolute Haram!!!! They treat people here like lab rats, disrespect their time, talk down to you, an entire office of Medical staff and Doctors that have an Aura of "We're Better than you and you owes us, so be grateful we even see you". Zero vibes about Health or Care! Doctor only cares about what's in your wallet and not what's causing you pain and discomfort. If you respect yourself, your wellbeing, or have dignity, go see someone who cares because they absolutely don't!!! read more

Everything good. Just one front desk lady with attitude who shouldn't be in the front desk & if so, maybe a smile ? But everything else great! read more

My son saw Dr. Silver for a neurological condition, last week. The office staff were kind and efficient. Dr. Silva took his time and showed great concern and empathy with the problem read more

Very kind office staff, checked me in fast and it was super easy! They treated me and everyone I saw them speak to with respect and care!

I was seen by Dr. Kevin McGehrin. He spoke to me in a very condescending way. It was almost as if he was doing me a favor by being there. He had absolutely no bedside manner, and I just felt so badly I could hardly articulate what was wrong with me. He was very cold and I left almost in tears. Probably one of the worst experiences I've had in a doctors office. What a waste of time. read more

I was seen by Tashia for my Botox appointment and I it was. She is really gentle with the needles and she is very friendly as well.

Dr. Silver is a great doctor and I felt he was one of the few doctors who listened to me about my debilitating chronic pain. Front office and referrals are not good and the reason I won't return. I saw Dr. Silver in March and he referred me to a specialist. It's October and after calling and emailing several times for the referral I've just given up and got it through my primary doctor. read more

They call us the DAY OF the appointment to let us know the EEG machine is broken, and offered an appointment 1 month and a half away from TODAY. The manager whose name goes by "Lorena", they could not enclose her last name without her permission, but the first name is more than enough; I asked for a San Marcos location appointment (which is two hours away from us), for the "manager" to tell ME, they won't have anyone to do an EEG in this location. You can't send a tech? Let me just say, I have NEVER IN MY 29 YEARS OF LIVING, have spoken to someone as UNPROFESSIONAL AS HER! Hung up the phone right in my face due to my "frustration" but was so eager to remind me she "understands my frustration" while still reminding me they have NOTHING available, don't know when the EEG machine will be fixed, basically no information, and there is nothing they can do. Lorena gives a very bad look to the Chula Vista location. Our first appointment, we were late by 15 min; they have a 10 min grace period. Understood. They expect for the patient to understand a broken EEG machine? But couldn't understand the fact that it was a rainy day when we were 15 min late, driving 1 hour, just to drive one hour back? So we HAD to reschedule with no other choice..... Only to be told a month later on the DAY OF the appointment (today) that the EEG machine is broken and they don't know when it will be fixed. "LORENA" you are a TERRIBLE manager. You do not deserve the title of MANAGER. No manager who wants to accomidate a frustrated patient will hang up in their face!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Updated 3/13: Our appointment was originally scheduled for April 17 which was disappointing but we had no choice. But, I have to give recognization to Andre and Desiree for getting us in sooner due to a patient canceling. Today was our appointment. Very smooth, thanks to Desiree checking us in fast at the front desk. And Andre, Desiree and Andre actually understood my frustration and promised to call me as soon as a cancellation was available. Desiree has been a HUGE help since the first visit, up until today! Thank you Andre and Desiree. read more

Easy to navigate parking lot, just don't park at Scripps next door, big busy building if you are in a hurry to get to your floor, make sure to use the stairs because the elevator takes forever to get thru, make sure to read the map directions, even if it said Neuron Clinic, it was actually all the way down to very end. The staffs at Neuron were very nice and helpful as long as you self check in online, the process will be smoother, Doctor Kevin also super friendly and knowledgable, he recommended all the good services for us while waiting for the insurance approval. read more

Great location with wonderful staff! Very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Highly recommend

I am seen for chronic migraines. I am thankful that I see a neurologist who finally listens and offers options. The quality of care is wonderful and I feel heard. I would say the only downside would be trying to call in. It's hard to get someone on the phone without being passed around with no answers. But once you and the neurologist have a schedule and plan it's been so easy with appointments. read more

Treat you like a piece of meat, the doctors are rude. To talk to the front desk you must email them. I could go on and on but I'm just over it.the best thing is to stay away read more

When people need to be seen by a neurologist. They need someone with intelligence and compassion. Which is not what you get from the Neuron Clinic. Office staff horrible, make appointments then cancel without informing the patient. Office is run down and dirty.. Doctors don't seem to take time with theirs patients only interested in the payout. they get a 0 review from me.. read more

The medical providers were very dismissive and not fully familiar with certain neurological issues. My previous neurologist was kind and actually was investigating my neuro issues. Unfortunately I had to stop working because of health issues and lost my health insurance. read more

Checkin was quick, the lady doing the test was very thorough explaining everything and was very kind, great experience !

Disgraceful place, shitty front desk reception, call center is an absolute joke. Never waited less than an HOUR for them to answer. The only functional person in the whole thing is the Dr and honestly I'm starting to doubt that, since I've been finding out about a whole bunch of malpractice lawsuits and I've been waiting for one fucking form to be filled out for over 2 months now. The only want to see you when you bring money and they definitely don't try to hide the fact that you're nothing but a number to them. read more

There were able to pinpoint why I was getting migraines and gave me several options to control them.

I have a serious motor Neurological condition and was referred by an excellent emergency doctor. She thought I'd get decent care here. Instead the doctor barely looked at me and decided I was fine. When I'm on medication I'm fine, when not I can walk and in extreme pain. Dr Xing barely looked at me and said "it's not a neurological condition, see a psych doctor' which I did and frankly she was certifiably crazy but still found nothing. As a result San Ysidro took me off my meds which almost killed me (not joking - my partner was with me when I had a 4 hour seizure and turned white as paper. Called to see another provider - never any response as I guess I'm a too hard case. No interest in the patient. No empathy. Ever notice how esp these young women doctors all do some "experience in some far flung underserved country". It's so common it must be surely for their med school community volunteer requirement. But it's not due to empathy. Stay away, currently taking legal action against all involved. None of them should be practicing medicine in my opinion. read more

Providers seem to know what they doing. Middle aged lady at the front office who dyes her hair blonde has serious attitude and needs to be checked. She raised her voice at me and gave me a snarky remark when I was speaking with another front desk employee. She wasn't even part of the conversation. Additionally I spoke with a front desk member after my last visit to make all appointments needed. They failed to make an appointment needed and now I have to wait 4 months to be seen. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable read more

I have been taking my mother in law for neurological care and the staff is super nice and helpful. The doctors that have seen her are caring, emphatic, and thorough. It is nice to find such caring clinic. Checking in and out is easy, the staff is very helpful. They speak Spanish and make my suegra feel well taken care of. Highly recommend this clinic. read more

I always feel like when I get there they are swamped, the wait is forever. My mother has early Alzheimer's and I don't feel like anything really happens. Not much of a physical, questions directed to her that make her more confused . Not much guidance or directions for help. The NP is very nice, but it feels like it's a waste of time. read more

The male nurse lack respect to my wife in examining here.He doesn't have any compassion.

I have no issues with the doctor as far as the care recipient's concern but with regards to the office workers here especially the front desk people, this is what I have noticed: There's is absolutely more chit chat heard rather than a patient being taken cared. Customer service trainings needed to lessen the front desk person's misdemeanor. The clinic may be a busy place but it's not a reason to not properly accommodate patient needs and concern. Each patient has individual needs that as a healthcare personnel you need to assess and meet halfway. I don't have to say more. read more

The receptionist here are so awful. They are extremely rude. I have asked to talk to their supervisor several times and they just put me on a hold for an hour, and then it just hangs up. I have not even scheduled my appointment yet because they are so disorganized. No idea if the doctor is good or not. They are very incompetent and their staff needs customer service training. read more

My review doesn't reflect my experience with the doctor so much as the front office staff. I was referred to this clinic by my Primary Care Physician for some issues I was experiencing. Doctor's visit was nothing to praise about, but she recommended two procedures to help narrow down my issues, one at another hospital and another in house. I go to the front office staff and I hear the manager (she mentions it on her phone call) getting into it with someone on the phone about a bill; I should have taken this as a foreshadowing moment. The staff tells me they won't schedule me until they get in contact with my insurance to verify I am covered, so I get a great feeling that I am taken care of as a few days later I get a call to go ahead and schedule those procedures. A few months later I have a follow up and the doctor recommends a scan as everything turned out normal. The front staff says they had an issue with the insurance and will hold off on scheduling that scan and get in contact with me once everything is figured out. I don't ever get that call back to schedule the scan... Fast forward three months later and I get a bill from the clinic for approximately $700! As it turns out, this clinic is not in my network for my insurance. Now, I understand that it is within the responsibility of the patient to verify insurance details, I will accept that as my own fault. Where I am upset is the fact that I was told that I wouldn't be scheduled a procedure after a call with my insurance to ENSURE that they covered a generous amount and at some point in the conversation someone would have brought up that the insurance would not cover a major portion of the bill because they are not in network. On top of that, I was told that I would be scheduled for a scan and I didn't get a call for that either. I call the clinic in an attempt to contest this bill I'm left with and they tell me it is my responsibility to check my own insurance and when they call insurances they don't know how much they will cover. Take this answer as you will, because while there is a patient responsibility, there is a due diligence of a medical staff to at least attempt to help patients get the most out of their insurance and this clinic does not care. The clinic didn't apologize and told me it's my fault, and their only sign of remorse was to put me on a payment plan. I am still trying to combat my issues and I still have no answers, The Neuron Clinic just made matters worse by adding more stress. I would avoid this clinic at all costs as their staff will just screw you over. read more

The front desk is horrible. They keep canceling and rescheduling my appointments and then cancel me, a few day after they rescheduled me. Then when I got a new refferal to see a different neurologist because I been having other severe symptoms ( I have occipital neurolgia, and those who know, know), they said that theu are not accepting new refferals with the new neurologist, in spite getting an approval letter from my insurance. So, I told them I have two insurance, which one is PPO, they said that they do accept the insurance. And to my surprise, they said no again. So guess what? I told them why are they reffusing to give me services if I had an old insurance that they first accepted and that I also still have and then with the PPO insurance they said that they did accepted but then not anymore? Needless to say, they also had the nerve to ask why I wanted to see a different neurologist, when it is none of their business to ask me why. In addition, all of a sudden they emailed my primary doctor and now that my doctor accepted the refferal of my PPO, now apparently I can request an appointment, which I am sure they will cancel again. They toy arround with people's health. They gaslight you. Horrible front desk service. My neurologist was a great person and tried to help me. But he did his best to get me to be seen. Either way, the reason I wanted a new refferal was because I wanted more opinions regards my health, having more symptoms and two opions is always best when their are rare cases like mine. And these people in the front desk are VERY unprofessional. And from seening all the reviews from 2024 and other years NOTHING has improved. Something has to give. It is not about the paycheck people. It's about liking what you do. We all work to serve others. Like myself. I am a teacher. Imagine that I didn't like my job, would you trust me with my job? No, right? It's the same concept. Please take the time to do an internal check. That would make a big difference. We are already dealing with so much with our health and now this. read more

After reading both reviews I don't feel singled out by the lack of care. I also have left many messages trying to get a referral. I recently had an appointment and couldn't help but hear the staff bashing a patient that kept calling regarding "Referrals" They all sat around like chicken hens talking about her and her care. Unacceptable, can we say HIPPA and sad that we have to be our own advocates because the people we trust fail us. I left the office and called my primary doctor to get me out of that place. A quality physician and company depends on the staff that they hire. Not chicken hens that rather talk about other patients . I recommend you run away and get a NEW MD read more

I have been going to this office for 2 years now. While the NP is very kind and is trying her best to help my migraines, the front desk and all the inner working of this place are VERY disorganized. There's intense and consistent miscommunication throughout the entire front desk staff. For example, I asked for an increase in my medication to help with my dizziness, it took me 4 calls to sort out an issue that they made on their end just for me to get the medication. At the beginning of my visits here I needed to complete bloodwork. I made a lab appt and waited a sufficient amount of time to let the lab order process, only to show up at 7am to the lab and the Neuron Clinic never sent my lab order over. On top of this I've asked them to change my prescription pharmacy address multiple times and somehow it always ends up sent back to my old pharmacy. I call and fix it everytime and yet it still gets messed up. I don't have these issues at any other specialist or clinic. Every time I need to get something done here, it's a disaster. Not the kind of place you want to be going to for neurological issues.... the front desk staff will make it worse! :( read more

My experience with Dr Ana was fine except the insurance denied Botox for migraines in part because the information from her office did not meet the insurance needs. My issue is with the phone scheduling and other workers. I have consistently spent upwards of 20 minutes on hold only to get bounced around from person to person since they have different clinic locations and since according to some of the phone workers they cannot handle Botox appointments. In the Malay of THEIR confusion about my appointment they told me it was for a reason and for a doctor that it was not and so I cancelled it only to later learn I was for a doctor I needed to see for jaw pain. Now I cannot get the appointment rebooked because no one who answers the phone knows what it going on and they just transfer until I leave a message and never get a call back I have left a message about this and the Botox referral several times and no one responds and when I call no one knows what to say or do When booking the appt I was told they absolutely could not get my medical records MRI so I went to great lengths to get it for them only to find out when I came in that they could get those records no problem. Their office is also scented which is a migraine trigger. Do better!!!! read more

I have yet to actually go here. I have made 3 appointments, just to have the clinic cancel them. This has been a 4 month odyssey. Each time, they tell me the Dr will be unavailable. Ridiculous service from this place. Hopefully, I don't have a real problem in my brain. How do you cancel an appointment 30 minutes before it's supposed to happen? I left work early, will they compensate me for that...no, if I canceled like that they would still charge me. read more

The wait times at The Neuron Clinic are very long. Wasn't able to get my first appointment for three months. After I was an established patient and had some tests, it took another three months for the appointment to get the results. The waiting area is crowded and when you call the office the wait time on hold is excessive. Parking at the Chula Vista office is almost impossible. Very few spaces and no adjacent lots for parking. read more

Dr Gupta was great, but was the biggest pain to get the results. They don't want to share them, unless you pay separately for them. Wow.

We came here in order to get papers filled out so that my husband could get cleared to drive again. They let us know that they would fax them and the dmv would send us a letter and we payed the fee. This was in August, I called today because it has been well over a month and we haven't received any news. First they gave me the number to call directly who they faxed the documents to, they let us know that they did not receive any documents whatsoever, so I called the clinic to get clarification. When I was trying to explain the situation the front office clerk cut me off, I didn't mind but when I started questioning what had happened or what the miscommunication between the two places were she became extremely rude, at no point I had been disrespectful and it's so frustrating that this is the way that they treat their patients when we are trying to get answers! I personally am not a confrontational person but just the way she was talking back was extremely upsetting. If you can definitely avoid coming here!! read more
