A beautifully decorated home that includes a pool, a movie room, shelves of DVDs and books, billiards and more games. You can choose which room to stay in and my husband and I chose the "Steampunk Room." The room was located in a tower apart from the house. It was so cool! The next morning we had a homemade breakfast and it was AMAZING! Our hosts made us feel right at home and were so kind. Inside the giant living room is a 2 and 1/2 story wood ceiling and it reminds me of the inside of a mountain lodge. We stayed in a separate three-story building on the top floor in the Steampunk Room. It was so cool. There were all these Steampunk relics and other period pieces. They have five rooms and every one has a different theme. There's a really nice pool, plenty of decks and a small lake. It also serves as a great wedding venue for a small to medium size wedding. Stacie and Dave are the warmest, friendliest most accommodating hosts. The breakfast is so delicious. It's surrounded by trees and we really felt close to nature. It's only 9 mi north of Baytown. If you want to get it away from it all, be in nature and be pampered, this is a place to go. The price is very reasonable.

Also the candles, that is a fire hazard and a liability. Someone's dressed almost caught fire had we not been paying attention. Leah needs to have a couple of classes on customer service and management what she displayed was not co owner behavior. Which caused some ruts and the owner not to be happy, but what can you expect if you do not provide an adequate parking lot for a wedding? The wedding party and couple had to help clean the place and put up chairs and tables. The daughter of the owner or owner hid two groomsmen gifts in the kitchen behind the door. They have rooms for groom and bride with beds. Didn't get to stay over night and got kicked out by 11 pm the second day of a two day rental. So they can have their quilting party the next morning. They kept the deposit for ruts in grass. Two dishes in sink, Wrinkled beds. Owner and daughter ate the food and stayed during entire wedding. If you want to pay 3,000 for two days, and an extra 500 for cleaning and feed the owner and family...... This is the place for you.
