We've used them twice, to trim a huge silver maple and a box elder and then to remove a black walnut that was very close to our house. The estimator was knowledgeable and professional and so was the crew--they did a fantastic job, very careful and the trees look great. A neighbor's used them for years and swears by them. They returned my phone calls promptly, they came when they said they would, their prices were fair, the work was excellent--unlike some tree companies who can't seem to get their act together. I don't understand why so many of their best reviews are filtered, I seriously doubt they're fake. Maybe it just looks fishy to have so many people so happy with your service. As long as their prices don't go through the roof, we'll happily keep using them. read more

I am so disappointed in this company. While I can understand the challenges many small businesses are under (as a small business owner myself) I would never treat customers the way they do. First and foremost, we hired this company in May. They are very quick at an initial estimate which is extremely misleading. They did come and spray for weeds (after it rained which meant that it didn't stick and we had to call again to redo the application) but as for our $5,000 tree needs it was extremely challenging. We never heard a peep from them in May until we reached out, they were then supposed to come in early June and didn't come prepared so they had rescheduled. Who doesn't come prepared to do a job? They were then supposed to come today but just didn't show up without calling or emailing - anything. Our trees are large and we've already lost a large branch which is why we wanted them out to begin with for the safety of our neighbors and family. The final response I received from the owner after saying that if they didn't come tomorrow we would cancel was complete indifference and complacency. The excuses went on and on until they ultimately cancelled because they could not complete the job that we have been waiting for 6 weeks for them to complete. The owner shared that they don't like operating under these expectations and conditions from customers that if they do not come out they will cancel, so they said they would cancel me because I told them I would cancel if they couldn't meet their promises. I guess what they're looking for is a customer who is indifferent and has reduced expectations of a service provider, which is not me :) Here is the final response from the owner "there are many other tree care companies out there." You're right and to anyone looking for a new tree and lawn care provider I would look elsewhere. The google reviews are quite misleading, check yelp before investing time and energy with this organization. It will save you time, stress, and your sanity in an already challenging time. While I want to give empathy for all small businesses that are struggling with staff and equipment issues, there is only so much I have to offer especially when you continuously over promise and under deliver. I never thought it would be so difficult to spend $5K with a company. read more

Living in older sw Denver, storm damage, property damage, and general maintenance is a yearly constant. The Natural Way, Inc. prioritizes damaging trees logically over maintenance. They don't respond to emails, or answer questions. I got an estimate but needed more info. I've emailed Shannon 4 times and haven't received a response. Moving on read more

Trees were not rimmed properly. Cut branches were not removed from tree. Company had to come back twice to correct the poor trimming! Then company had the audacity to charge me a second time. They trim only when they are in the area, no consideration for condition of tree or customer's schedule. Prices are double to triple other companies. read more

Natural Way took care of our 3/4 acre in Englewood with lots of pines, seemingly adequately. When it was time for an IPS beetle spray, nothing happened. When asking the receptionist, she said I've been dropped from the service, no warning or reason given; paid all bills. Daughter called Robert who finally said I harangued his workers at the neighbor's about noise. He said I said I'll call the cops on them. That's not what I do. I dont recall the incident, but if they were running chain saws at 7:30 AM (legal) right at the closest part of the neighbors to me with 5 acres to spare, yes I would say something. Meanwhile, our biggest pine has pine bark beetle. Why? read more

These guys know their trees! That's because they have an arborist on board (Jared) who can actually diagnose tree issues and trim with finesse instead of just chopping off the limbs. Angel and Michael were fabulous, careful and professional. They also helped to educate us on how they were trimming and supporting our beautiful assets... priceless. May be a little bit more $$ but so worth the price. Thanks! read more

Definitely not using this company again. Should have gone onto yelp first. First guy I met with for a quote made me feel like I might be in good hands. Tree treatment for 2 elm trees against elm beetles - little over $450. Seems pricey, but I'm also trying to keep it safe with an arborist. Oh well- Let's just get it done. The spray was helpful, but that will only work for killing whatever's there currently. Injections were also given so that it absorbs into the tree and any returning beetles would eat the leaves and then die as well. The injections were worthless. Swarms have made home in the elms and there aren't any dead bugs around...just a lot of dead leaves. Guess it just gave them some extra flavor, money well spent. The BIGGEST problem to me was surprisingly not the product failing. Maybe it needed another service- no idea. The breaker was the office manager and how she was incredibly rude on the phone on multiple occasions. She talks over you and interrupts even when making a mistake. We tried to schedule multiple times, one occurrence was in writing, to which she informed us we never did. If you try to say "oh well, something must have just gotten mixed up then" and move on... she will not even take that out as an option. She will instead stick to the topic and make sure you understand thoroughly that it was not her or the company that's incorrect, you are. She will then respond to the request email you had originally sent, to follow up with a booking date. Yes, that same email "you never sent." Ok then... My fiance had called once after treatment because she wanted to plan what would be the proper next steps if the first round of treatment didn't work. Just looking for advice here, as we've never been through this before... She barely got a word in because the woman was so defensive and combative. She was hung up on after being told to "rethink her expectations." My fiance is the most soft spoken non-confrontational person. This made her pretty bummed and she definitely didn't deserve to be insulted. I don't know why I even bothered to pay these people for the injections which was pretty expensive. I don't need bad karma in my life, so I'll just be finished with it. The same way I am 100% finished with The Horrible Way. read more

These guys were quick to come out after I put in a request for the services and the gentleman, Robert, came out and took a look at all the trees. He told us what he thought was going on and how they could help and maybe a week or so later another technician came out and went ahead and applied a special fertilizer to the trees and they will be back out in the fall to do that one more time. Very, very knowledgeable folks. Our trees are now looking very healthy. read more

This was a weird experience... I called several places to get quotes for trimming our trees and bushes. The Natural Way called me a couple days later and said that someone would be at my house the next day and leave a quote on the door. Okay... Ultimately all 3 we called ended up doing this, so I guess that's standard. They ended up being the cheapest quote so I called them and pulled the trigger on it, so they said someone would call and let me know when we were "on the schedule". They called again a couple weeks later and said they'd be out in a few days and do it. Nobody needed to be home.. Okay... We came home that day and everything was trimmed and there was a bill on the door. Guess I've never had an experience where I owe someone a couple hundred for a job they did (relatively well) and I never saw hide nor hair of anyone. read more

Well, I called them twice to get an estimate for trimming a large tree in our yard, and there was never any response. I suppose, in their defense, you can safely say that MANY tree companies do business this way--out of five companies I called, only one got back to me!! I wish I had so much business during my "slow time" that I could afford to let a good lead (insurance check) slip away due to bad customer service. Check out Alpine Tree and Shrub care--they call right back, show up when they say they will, are priced VERY fairly, and are a pleasure to deal with. read more

Do not use this company. Overpriced, poor workmanship and absolutely the worse customer service from the owner to the managers . The owner did not respond to a problem until two months later , when we did not renew our annual contract . read more

CAUTION. CAUTION.CAUTION Bad Service Bad customer care Rude, irresponsible. The telephone receptionist is not capable to receive and respond professionally to messages. The arborist, Nathan, talks nice enough on the phone, but failed to show up for our appointment, failed to respond to my next two messages. There are many other tree services. read more

Similar to other reviews I found The Natural Way very prompt at coming out to supply a quote. Once the quote was agreed to and service was authorized I was told that in about 3-4 weeks I would have someone call to schedule service for the following week. I called again at the 5 week mark and was told I would get a call the following week to schedule service. We are now on week 8. At this point I'm working with other service providers and am just going to wait it out and see if I ever get a call to schedule service. read more

This company has horrible customer service. You CANNOT get someone to call you back, no matter HOW you try to contact them - even if you are an established customer. I had them do a tree IV last year for our Maple, which has chlorosis. The tree looked no better this year, so I was willing to pay for another IV this Fall. I tried to arrange for it in JULY. No response. Then they came to spray a different tree for bugs (beware - they do not tell you that they will come 2x a year for this service, whether you ask them to or not). I asked that guy if I was on the schedule. He made a call and said he'd make sure someone called me to confirm that I was. Nobody ever called. I left 3 more messages, sent an email, called again and pressed the number to get someone urgently bc I needed to know if I should contract with someone else. That woman said she'd have someone call me back that day. Guess what? Yep, NO call back. So I've contracted with someone else. I will NOT be using this company any more. They have no idea what customer service is! read more

Do not do business with this company. I scheduled a tree pruning in spring and they never showed up to do the work, despite numerous calls to confirm an actual date. I finally gave up at the end of summer and hired someone else. I had hired them to do tree maintenance and they did show up for that. When I called to cancel the tree pruning, I also canceled the maintenance program as well. They didn't get that right either. They scheduled the maintenance anyway. When I called to cancel again, I told them I fired them. They STILL didn't listen and scheduled yet ANOTHER appointment. I just called again and when I asked to speak to a manager, the receptionist got nasty and rude when I asked her to repeat back to me what I had asked her to do and hung up on me. read more

These guy's just finished trimming my trees and did a fabulous job! Very nice guys . very personable and professional. They even removed my garden lights so they wouldnt get broken!Cleaned up all the mess. Took them 4 hours with 3 people. I highly recommend them And will be using them in the future. read more

I brought this company a very large account that was for a friend of our family and it amounted to thousands of dollars over a period of years. It was total brain damage to get a monthly statement and I never received so much as a "thank-you" for bringing this account to the natural way. In April of 2015, a bill for a service that was performed in February 2015 showed up. When I inquired as to why the bill was arriving in April instead of February when the service was performed I was told "they couldn't change the whole system for us" and when I expressed frustration as I had asked at least 10 times to get a monthly statement, I was told "not to lecture". In the end, all they care about is getting money from you. THIS COMPANY IS NOT WORTH THE BRAIN DAMAGE YOU WILL ENDURE JUST TO GET A BILL:-( read more

They are very unresponsive. Had scheduled a tree trim and they never showed up. When I called to ask why, they said they'd show up on another date, but they didn't. Very poor communication between their office help and the sales force and the tree trimmers. (I think I was pretty patient as I tried working with them for over a year to get the tree trimmed). Finally, I wrote a letter to the owner to report my experience - lack of communication and follow-up on their part; never heard back from him either. These people are either too busy or very poor business people; I think it's both. I'll never contact them again. read more

Maybe my expectations were too high but I don't feel like I got my money's worth with this company. I asked for an elm to be trimmed and the limbs over the house to be removed. Those threatening limbs are gone but now the tree looks as if Dr. Seuss had a hand in it's design. They completely ignored the dead limbs and did nothing about the shape of the tree. The Natural Way is no better than anyone else in the business, they're just higher priced. read more

We've been using The Natural Way for our lawn care & tree trimming for years now and are consistently more than satisfied by the results. They're always prompt and courteous, I can't imagine using anyone else! read more

We were given the name of this company from our local Garden Center. I did not get any other quotes so don't know how they compare but my in-laws had used them before and had no complaints. They were quick with their free quote and were very accommodating with scheduling their service call. They did not recommend that every tree on my property get trimmed which was a refreshing change. The workers seemed knowledgeable and did a good job. They were even able to do an "Oh, by the way" job at the same service call with a reasonable charge. I would definitely use them again! read more

We wanted a licensed arborist to come take a look at a 3 year old tree that started to V at the top. Robert was very informative, professional and helpful. He walked our entire property with me to discuss other issues we were having due to the beautiful deer that visit our yard. When it was time to prune- it was all done perfectly at a reasonable price. We have cancelled our service with another well known tree care company- and given the yearly maintenance contract to The Natural Way. Once we have be a customer for a season I hope to change the star rating to a 5- as good as it gets. read more

I had no problem getting an estimate -- very prompt -- but scheduling the work was another story. They are booked this time of year 8 weeks out. I found a smaller business that came within 2 weeks and their bid was half the cost. I have no doubt The Natural Way would do great work, but with the HOA breathing down my neck I needed someone who could come fast. Happy that business is booming, but The Natural Way did not fit my needs. read more

This company is apparently unaware that many of their customers are employed. I have been going around and around with their scheduling/office staff since last fall to get my Ash trees treated for the ash borer. How can it be so complicated to give us 3 days notice so we can be home for the dogs and to unlock the gate? Three times they have left me vmails advising they would be out the next day for the service. Three times I have called them back (you can never get a live person on the phone), reminding them I need 3 days notice so someone can be home. Yesterday they did it again and my voicemail this time was to cancel the requested services. Unbelievably poor customer service. read more

I have used The Natural Way several times and each time I am very happy of the work they performed. The last snow storm had broken several limbs on my 40 year old elm tree (one of which was using the power lines as a resting spot) the estimator came out on Friday and Saturday morning they were out removing the broken limbs. I think that is very impressive I would highly recommend The Natural Way, their estimators, arborists and they guys that climb the trees and do all the work were very professional and fast. If you need any work done on your trees no matter what size call them. read more

The Natural Way came highly recommended to us, so we decided to give them a try. Previously we had used Lawn Doctor and had above average service, but wanted to go with a local business. I will say they are not the best on follow through for a new customer. I had been called out of town on an emergency and called to ask them to go ahead and treat our lawn for weeds, "our thistle is out-of-control" so as soon as possible please. I was told that they would get right on it. I'm back 2 weeks later and nothing had been done and now the thistle is creeping into the middle of our yard. I had no calls from them to let me know they weren't going to do it. I called today, 2 weeks after 1st call and was told they had not been out and they "had" us on the schedule for this week... I'll see what happens and re-review. read more

I have two Purple Mountain Ask trees that had issues last year and I was afraid they were sick. A nursery in Littleton referred me to The Natural Way. All the individuals from the first phone call to the service providers are very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. I have used them for my lawn and tree spraying for years and have been happy with them. I decided to let them trim my trees - what a mistake! All the deadwood that was cut out of the 2 large trees was cut into 3 to 6 inch lengths and scattered all over the back yard and my deck. I spent 2 hours cleaning that mess up and filled two garbage bags. The supervisor of the tree trimmer called me back and was rude and claimed his employee said my yard had debris in it already which is a total falsehood and denied having left any debris behind. I told him I had 2 bags to prove it and he came and picked up the bags and as much as told me, or I should say yelling, to take my business and go back to the company who had been doing the work previously. I called the company and asked to speak with his boss and the receptionist assured me he would call me that afternoon. It's now been three days and I have not heard from anyone. read more
