Came here with a group of 6 for a weeknight dinner and had a great experience! Service: Our waitress was friendly and checked on us frequently. Food and drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time too. Drinks: Their drink menu only has non-alcoholic options, including canned pop, bottled water, juices, tea and coffee. In addition to what's on the menu, they had additional juices listed on a white board. Food: our meals came with soup and salad. They also threw in dessert for those who wanted it but I'm not sure if dessert is always included or not. I ordered the ceviche plate which was a lot of food, flavorful, and so filling. The ceviche was perfect, exactly how I like it. It also came with dry/roasted corn and a sweet potato. I absolutely would get it again! At the end of the night we met the chef too, and we learned he had an impressive resume. Not surprised considering the quality of the ceviche, soup, and dessert. Searched for restaurants in Fredonia. Came across Nana Peruvian Kitchen and saw the high rating so I was interested and excited to try something new and apparently highly regarded. Went to their website and placed an order and credit card was charged and received confirmation email. Went to pick up order and was told I have to pay for it again. Flabbergasted I asked for an explanation. They then acknowledged it was their website and they were aware of this "problem" but it was my problem I had used their website to place an order and it was my problem to go request a refund for the payment from my bank for the food I ordered through their website. They are well aware of this problem and the website isn't "hacked", it's just some dispute between the owner and the company handling their website and apparently this is my fault. They refused to honor the order I placed and paid for and they refused to correct their error saying it was my fault and not their responsibility. This is laughably absurd and terrible customer service, awful business practice and just plain wrong. I was a prospective customer and completely unknown to me I got caught up in between some issue/dispute the business is apparently having with a third party that they are well aware of and that they have failed to take steps to correct. I paid nearly $90 to end up with no food and was told it was my problem to call my bank about it. I cannot believe this owner would think this is the appropriate or proper way to address a problem that they are well aware of and have not corrected and is entirely 100% on them. So here's a hint, when you know you have a website and online ordering set up on it but are refusing to honor orders placed through your website you should have immediately taken steps to have it stopped yesterday. And when the situation arises where you failed to do this and a new customer unknowingly places and pays for an order this is YOUR problem to correct NOT the customer's. You could have done numerous things--the decent thing-made the food and absorbed the cost of the food (which should have been about $20) or offered some discount or food or one entree--virtually anything saying sorry this is on us and we really screwed up and feel bad that you ordered food and have nothing after paying for it in full. Literally the only thing you should not have done is say sorry buddy that's your fault you paid and you're going to leave here with no food after wasting an hour going out of your way to try this restaurant and go see if your bank can do something about it, even though it was our website and it's a problem we're well aware of. I am absolutely livid and will continue to tell everyone I can how a restaurant has the nerve to put the responsibility for its business disputes on its customers. Time has been wasted going to pick up food that you refused to provide, time was wasted writing this review to recount how embarrassingly horribly you handled your problem you let customers suffer the consequences of and time was wasted explaining to customer service at my credit card company how I was charged by your restaurant and you refused to provide the food I ordered from your website. read more

I have been here five times now and this is true for each visit. 1. The food is amazing. Delicious and large portions. 2. The service is exemplary. They make you feel like you are their only customer even when they are busy.They answer questions with patience and they make great suggestions. 3. They are super flexible about orders. Leave out the ginger? no problem. Double rice instead of rice and French fries? no worries. I probably have asked for something like that and they always do it graciously. Nana's is an amazing Peruvian restaurant in Fredonia. I come here every Wednesday for lunch. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in the entire Fredonia / Dunkirk area. Everything is fresh and made to order. Each time I'm there I get the Lomo Saltado. It is a mix of beef tenderloin, peppers and onions sautéed with great spices and served over a bed of French fries. It comes with a salad and a side of rice. The intensely delicious flavors keep me coming back. I also usually get their chicken soup called Caldo de Gallina. It is to die for. Perfectly seasoned and cooked, it has chicken breast, rice, peas, carrots and wonderful spices. Not spicy hot, spicy flavorful. It comes with a side of house made hot sauce if you want to make it more spicy-hot. The desserts are all made in-house. The tres Leches, or passion fruit mousse are both exceptional. Excellent unexpected stop. The owner Pedro was amazing. From beginning to end with food and passion for what they do. You can feel the vibe and the food. Yes, the food was incredible! The Mrs deserts were the cherry on top so to speak. The Mrs 's homemade Flan( best I ever had) Cheesecake and truffles. Out of the world. Everytime I am in Fredonia or even close. Great tasting dinner! Excellent beef Saltado with fettuccini was delicious. Subtle flavors that delight the palate! My companion had the Saltado especiale, with beef, beef chicken and shrimp. Same great taste! Meals come with soup and salad. The marcum juice (passion fruit) was really good as well. We left with which food for another meal. Well worth it! read more

Dropped into this establishment on a cross country road trip for lunch and had a great experience. Pedro, the chef and owner greeted us at the door and welcomed us inside. It has a very cozy but upscale feel. We were given soup and salad to start with (which were both incredibly delicious) and then our entrees came. You can really taste the care taken in every bite. The server was very kind and gave us great recommendations as well! The owners wife (I didn't catch her name) makes all the desserts from scratch which are inspired by her Brazilian roots. After our meal we were given complementary flan which we had to take to go because we were stuffed! Pedro came out of the kitchen before we left and talked to us for a bit about his life and Peru and how he had always dreamed of opening a restaurant like this one. Very quaint, restaurant. A nice little place with a nice atmosphere. The food was very good as was the flan for dessert. Very nice staff who were willing to explain all the food options for us.
