I am a fan of the NALA. They sold me an advertising package that was supposed to help my SEO for my business website, as well as write two press releases. I would give the SEO services 2 stars, the press release 5 stars, and their customer service and professionalism 5 stars. The press releases they put out hit quite a number of newsfeeds. After writing one press release, I had a new client call me the same day after reading the news release. I run a law practice so finding appropriate leads is a big deal and the NALA helped me by publishing two press releases that will be floating around the Internet now forever. The link back to my website should ultimately help with SEO. The other stuff they do with Bing, Google Plus, etc, is something most people could do by themselves and I didn't find much value in that. However, overall I am giving them 4 stars for doing a good job and doing honest work. When I called to cancel the month-to-month there was no upselling attempts or guilt-trips. read more

I was solicited by this business to purchase services which sounded extremely shady. The call slated the company as a place who could write you press releases and get you "in the news" with "earned media" for just an average of $500 a month. Earned media is organic media exposure you don't have to pay for, so their explanation did not feel trustworthy. The associate could not give a clear description of what they did and all he mentioned was how my monetary investment would pay off. The associate who called was also completely disorganized. During the call he could not remember my name and when he scheduled a follow up, got the time wrong multiple times. It was as if he just didn't care. He mentioned their good Better Business Bureau rating... which has 2 reviews. Their reviews on various platforms don't always read as genuine either so idk if they are real. Overall felt untrustworthy, salesy, and not worth the investment. Be careful before you spend money here. Marketing is complex, getting earned media is hard work, it's not as easy as "for $500 a month, you'll be in the news!" read more

STAY AWAY !!! This is a shady Internet business to help businesses with their advertising on the web. I hooked up with them due to their association with NAPA Auto Parts so figured they were legit. Turns out I was wrong. $1500 got us thousands of banners on sites and search engine optimization and their designing the google places page. When I told them I did not want automatic renewal they said ok. Flash forward 6 months and a complete waste of $1500 ... and oh yeah, they could never tell me once what exact sites my banners were appearing on, they set up my google places to focus on my gas business which is not the focus of my business, and they failed to return calls on numerous occasions ... I see a $250 charge on my credit card. I contact them and the service had automatically renewed. I won't go into the details of the conversations I had with them but I am very unhappy ... next stop Better Business Bureau (BBB) and their association with NAPA. I usually don't take thinks personally but I am on a crusade against common thievery. read more

NALA provides great service for an exceptional price. I have tried other ways to get press releases out, but you can't beat the personal service that includes writing. My first release hit 194 media outlets and the second hit over 200 -- eventhough they only guaranteed a fraction of that number. The only challenge, as with any writer, they are not intimately knowledgeable about the nuances of our business, so there is the normal back and forth through the editing process. But over all, the end product meets our branding standards and makes my job easier. read more

After receiving a call, I agreed to listen to a half hour presentation. after the presentation I was presented with an option to spend $3,100 for six months of their service. Their service included writing articles to be published in different newspapers, managing my social media, and managing reviews. When I told him I wanted to think about it, he continued to press for a close by offering different options and wouldn't take no for an answer. At that point I became leery. His comment was "didn't she tell you I was going to ask for the order?". After checking their reviews online I found several who found it to be a scam. Do not fall for this. I am fairly new to NALA and admit that we got off to a slow start (my rep was under the weather, then I was out sick...no one's fault). The original salesperson was very flexible and helpful. It was not a hard sell. I bought just the press release service without the SEO or search placement. Once we got things going (and I finally provided the "meat" necessary for the first release), things started to happen. I was immediately contacted by two large media outlets asking for me to write follow up articles for them. I used the NALA for their press release/marketing services and was very pleased. They delivered exactly what was promised and then some. I had friendly and courteous staff draft wonderful articles about my business and they were published in online newspapers and news TV stations across the US. The result for me? Not only do these articles appear when potential customers search the internet for my name or my business name, but they started appearing even when searching for my business category locally! And because it doesn't appear like an ad or spot I purchased (but rather a news article about me) it carries more credibility to potential customers. I have to agree with these guys, the nala has failed to do as promised. They only made my business name findable not my product. Why would anyone search who knows the name of my business search for it? $1600 down the drain. After numerous emails they failed to answer the simplest of questions and never called me as requested and stated in there emails.You find the video they made for my company by looking up "the nala" you tube site and I still cant find it. They actually sent me examples of how they improved my search results from being found on 5 search engines and after to the same 5 engines. Why would anyone pay for that. They did tell me they dont know what the salesman for them are offering and cant be responsible. If answer sounds like it just came out of a polititians mouth. I have been associated with the Nala for about 10 months. They deliver what they promised--press releases that are dispersed to many outlets and organizations that I would have a difficult time accessing myself. Immediately following a press release, I usually see an uptick in interest on my Linked In profile and I have had a few business associates reach out to me regarding the releases. To date, I cannot say that my business has increased due to the press releases. The value, I believe, is that the press releases will always be available on the web. Only time will tell. My account manager, Julia, has been very professional and easy to work with, very attentive. I have had a few issues with e-mails not being received from me on their end. I have found that I mostly write the press releases myself and am constantly battling to find newsworthy information. I signed on with The Nala with the National Director, Matthew Coffel. I would say Matthew made a few promises that have not been kept; but the contract specifically states that "the signer has not relied upon any oral promise, statement..." So, I guess, buyer beware. Overall, the price has not justified the end results. I would recommend asking a lot of questions prior to signing a contract and make sure it is a good fit for you and your business. read more

The company is very shady. The salesperson, who I believe is Scott Jay, was very (and unnecessarily) aggressive. He demanded that I sign up that day. I told him that I do not make rash decisions. After, I refused to sign up, he lowered the price. After I refused to sign up again, he acted like a bad ex-girlfriend. He told me that he has bent over backwards to provide me with a good price and that he has many other potential clients to call and cannot waste time with me if I could not make a decision. I told him that I did not like pushy salespeople. He responded by telling me that he'll call me back in two days, but that he hopes I understand that he will not be following up with me to determine if I was interested, if I did not sign up by then. The tone of his voice and his demanding sales tactics did not sit well with me. I do not like being forced to make decisions, which involve a 6-month commitment without the chance to process the information and/or conduct research. If a company treats you this poorly and tells you that they do not have time to waste on you before they even sign you up, can you imagine how they will treat you once you are a client? Steer clear and invest your money on a company that will treat you with the respect that you deserve. read more
