I decided to give it a try - I feel lucky I got to go there! The new owner Lisa is amazing...so warm & friendly, accommodating, professional, but fun & absolutely lovely! The salon is super clean & feels very zen. I started with a manicure by nail tech Roxanna - she did such an incredible job I decided to get a pedicure too:) She was careful, but thorough, detailed & precise & delightful! Truly one of the best I've ever had - I'm 53 years old:) Empire Nails is a GEM in Sedona! I will go there every time I visit & wish I had a salon of this quality where I live!

Review for the $15 polish change service: I was asked to pay and tip before services were completed…read more(okay, I get we don't want the polish to smudge if not fully dry...). The polish was on the thinner side, so it was still streaky after 2 coats and the nail tech was preparing to put on the top coat even though it looked patchy. I asked her to please put on another coat to even-out the color and she asked me for another $5. Ummm.. what? After begrudgingly putting on another coat and scowling at me and rushing through it, my nails look acceptable. Was it a quality job? No. Did I feel scammed? Yes. Were they respectful and professional? Absolutely not.

We have been here many times and for the second time we had a less than good experience however…read morethis time crossed a line that warrants a review. There were two main issues; the massage and the charge. The massage was average at best. I was not asked about pressure, never checked in with, and a full body massage should never start with the feet. Skipping the hands is also not acceptable on a full body massage. We were given a gift card for two massages, apparently they raised their prices since our Christmas gift but that was not disclosed we had to logic it out ourselves. We were also up charged for something, we assume deep tissue which we asked about and did not request nor receive, but again we have had to logic this out. The tip was not negotiable and 20% was added at time of checkout. We were a couple not a large party and nowhere does it state this will happen. We anticipated tipping but ended up spending out of pocket nearly the cost of a full massage when we were gifted an experience here. Unfortunately this was not an experience we enjoyed. We've let our gifter know so they do not spend any additional money here and we will also look elsewhere for services. Worth noting that their recent remodel has left the lobby feeling cold. You are no longer brought back to a calming lounge area but seated in chairs near the door in a barren space. Client retrieval was a chaotic mess and checkout took several minutes as it was unorganized and messy with check ins and scheduling. They are no longer organized nor properly staffed.

We both had a 90 minute treatment for $175 which we thought was fair and included a foot therapy for 30 minutes and a 1 hour massage. The two ladies at the front desk were not friendly at all. It was as if we bothered them. My provider was too chatty and I told her which she did not like, she was quiet for massage. She asked about pressure and any need areas. Pressure was fine, need areas ignored. She spent a good 20-30 minutes on my neck which I said was NOT a need area. I woke up today with a tender neck. Buyer be warned of fair pricing, but only ok experience.
