The salon is super clean & feels very zen. I'm very careful who I let do my nails as I have had some bad experiences in the past and I came across really positive reviews of the new owner of Empire nails therefore I decided to give Lisa a chance. I was so glad that I did because it was probably the calmest nail experience I have ever had! She did nails in a more caring and professional way then most places i've gone to. She had quite a few different colours to choose from and I got a gel manicure and pedicure and was very happy with the results. I went as a walk in for a pedicure... Andrew was able to see me in 30 mins, so I went next door to the consignment shop. (I tried a few things on, but things didn't fit as I hoped.) Before I knew it, it was time for my appointment. I explained to Lisa (new owner) that I read the reviews and chose her place because of them. Lisa is wonderful and bubbly and welcoming. Andrew and I had great conversation and he took his time with me. (I have an upcoming booking for a full set with him, and he has allotted plenty of time so that it is done right.) My boyfriend was able to book a massage for the same time, and he was very happy with the quality massage he received as well. I am traveling to the area on vacation, but I cannot recommend this location enough. Clean. Quaint. Calm. Inviting. Have patience. Believe it or not, I came in here with 4 guys, so that made 5 of us total. To say I was outnumbered would be an understatement! You would think that this is a typical 'girls day out' thing to do but nope, not for our family! My dad, uncle, and cousins asked for a pedicure/foot massage while we were celebrating Father's Day in Sedona. Welp, their wish was my command! We were greeted by Kathy who was friendly and made sure to get us in the chairs right on time. They had exactly 5 pedi chairs so it was perfect! The guys were in heaven because there was a TV directly across from the chairs and they even put on sports for them! I had Shawn and holy pedi heaven, he gets 10 stars in my book! It was literally the BEST foot massage that i've ever had in my life. He knew all kinds of techniques and definitely made sure that I had 'happy feet' by the time that I left. We had an absolute blast and my dad (who is a Sedona local) will most definitely be back for a foot massage/pedi from Shawn. He also gave my dad a scalp and neck massage which for sure won over his heart! FYI: The guys DID NOT get color on their toes, just in case you were wondering. I tried, but had no luck! read more

I love my nails and the fact they have different pink powers and flair nail tips (a lot of salons really don't anymore), so I made an app and was taken care of as soon as I got there. I got Kathy the owners wife. It was my first time here so I was kinda nervous especially since their reviews aren't the best. Kathy was slow and was getting frustrated with the powders and had to use different ones until they finally worked but all in all it was a good job. I was weary given previous reviews but I was happily delighted when I got there and was greeted by her warm personality and welcoming smile! I learned that she was the recent new owner. I had the best conversation with Lisa and she gave me a very professional gel manicure. The salon was very clean and she made sure through every step of the way that my manicure was up to my standard. I will definitely be visiting this salon next time I'm back in Sedona. It was REASONABLY priced which is rare in this area. If you are in the Sedona area I HIGHLY recommend this salon!! Given that the tourist season is picking up I also recommend making an appointment days in advance. I never write reviews on yelp but my experience here blew me away. I got my nails done here while I was visiting Sedona. I called ahead to make an appointment for a fill. When I got there, I was greeted by friendly staff and seated right away. I had my nails done by a lady that was newly hired. Unfortunately she was not comfortable with the electric drill and kept rubbing my fingers and eventually cut me pretty bad. I was very pleased when I was offered a walk in this morning. While I have to say everyone there was very kind, the woman who did my pedicure absolutely annihilated my toes. When she was filing my nails (even the top surfaces), she filed my skin down completely on every toe and the entire rest of the pedicure was burning. My feet are now throbbing as I have antibacterial ointment soaking on my very swollen and irritated toes. Pictures were earlier today, and it's much worse now. Again I really hate to give a local businesses a bad review, they were very kind and maybe it was just a one time thing, but I will now be spending the next week healing my feet. read more

A friend and I went into this salon while on our vacation, and immediately upon walking in we witnessed the manager get into a fight with one of her employees and he left the salon right then. We were then both yelled at to hurry up and given only a few minutes to choose a color. The whole manicure was completely rushed, and my nails were done in a square shape instead of coffin like asked. The guy who did my nails poked fun at me for looking younger than I was and for having small fingers, and the dude who did my friends acrylics did not put tips and put the acrylic directly on her real nails. My acrylic tips were cut with HOUSEHOLD SCISSORS, and the paint job was completely rushed so there are air bubbles and nail polish all over the place because he didn't clean them up afterwards. 3 weeks ago I was vacationing in Sedona and Lisa did a manicure with gel nails for me. My mind is blown, not a single nail has lifted or chipped in any way.
