The environment of the salon is stuffy, snobbish and judgemental but I dealt with it because like I said she is good at her job. Very snobbish... I had a appointment when they first opened. I had to wait 35 min to be seen. The owner was not very talkative and I didn't feel welcomed. I tried the Pedicure and she barely gave me a massage . I love massages and It's my favorite part. They have two Pedicure chairs in the room very close to each other and it felt awkward with another person in the tiny room with me. Could not relax because the other person was talking during the entire session. read more

I'm sorry to say that my experience was bad. I originally planned a spa day for manis, pedis, facials, and massages, but the esthetician was not going to be in. Then I found out that the masseuse is a man, and we're a little shy, so we cancelled that part. So, I had reservations for 3 of us for mani/pedis. It was a special event. I had corresponded with the owner via text for 3 weeks (many times) prior to our appointment and even during that week. When we came in, she didn't acknowledge us at all. We just sat there. She just forgot about us. It was very sad and extremely awkward, as I planned this as a special birthday treat for my sisters. In the owner's defense, she did text me afterward, offering a gift certificate for our trouble. While I did appreciate that, the experience was so awkward, so disappointing, that none of us wanted to return. read more

Just left after receiving a mani pedi from Sarah. She painted me and my 3 year old daughter. She was super kind and patient through all my daughters squirming. The massage chairs are way better than any pedi massage chair I've ever sat in. The quality of service is phenomenal for the price. It seriously rivals that of an LA spa setting but way affordable. I wanted to give a shout out to the Nail Chateau & Spa on S. Robinson St. across from City Hall in Tehachapi. Located in the old Bank of America building where you can have a "facial in the Vault." Decor is very nice. Warm & inviting. I went to the salon to have permanent eyebrows done by Tanya Satterfield. I was so impressed by her calm, professional demeanor. She is very talented & spent a serious amount of time making sure that everything was done to perfection!! The price was very reasonable. Take advantage of the slower pace of the winter months to have your permanent makeup done by Tanya who is cool, calm & collected with a steady hand. read more

Sarah is awesome. Super nice. This nail salon is worth the drive. I drive from bakersfield to there. I will continue to make the trek twice a month and it's a full service nail salon great atmosphere feels extremely welcoming. She also does pedicures. Appt. 5-29-20. Jinnifer started small talk. I chose three nail colors green, red, and black to symbolize the Pan-African Flag. She asked how I was doing with the pandemic. I replied by stating my family and I were fine, and how I was enjoying homeschooling my children. She quickly change the subject to what is currently going on the news with George Floyd's death. Stating she hadn't seen the video but the looting and fires are out of control. "I protested peaceful along with others for the reopening of salons why can't they do the same." There was only one woman during the protest shouting derogatory remarks at people of color that had opposing views. She  then asked me what I thought, I attempted to explain that as an African American woman I fear for my children's lives everyday, she quickly stated she feared for her kid's lives as well. I attempted to change the subject she kept on going back to it. I wanted to get up and leave but the nails were already on, she just needs to paint them. I gave an example of a current situation at work were I was treated differently by my colleague and other staff and how her actions were and are generally accepted because majority of the staff are Caucasian. Jinnifer dismissed the coworker's behavior by saying "oh she's just a snowflake". We then began talking about dating. I stated dating wasn't my current focus, just my kids and that I had created an account on eharmony but it wasn't anything serious. She then asked me if I felt that dating was harder because I was colored and what I thought about interracial dating. I responded by saying as an African American woman I don't believe it's harder, it's just not a priority for me, my children's safety is. And to answer her second question I replied love is love. She asked me if I felt comfortable with our conversation, not sure what she expected me to say when she was literally almost done. I was extremely uncomfortable, the conversation was biased without any supportive information backing up her ignorant comments, yet I replied "yes, it's ok." I just wanted to leave. Jinnifer applies the paint and I explain the symbols that I wanted on my middle finger and thumb. I wanted the outline of Africa in gold and a fist . She told me she could try to draw Africa but didn't think the fist would look right and would take too long. She drew Africa on both middle fingers. The was over, I handed her the money $45. Waited while she locked up the shop, set the alarm and we left. A week later I received a text message saying I was $5 dollars short. Jinnifer stated it was $50 total with the design. I had gotten designs before and it was $45. If she would have notified me then I would of had no problem pulling it out of my wallet; however I do not live in Tehachapi so it makes no sense for me to travel all the way down there for five dollars. I believe everyone should be held accountable for their actions, this experience was unbelievable and unacceptable. I will no longer be a customer at this nail salon where I feel I am not welcome. read more

I had an amazing pedicure and manicure this Sunday morning. I called yesterday and asked to get in today and Sarah booked me for 9:00 a.m. The nail salon was very cute and had a nice relaxing atmosphere. Sarah is very sweet and professional. The pedicure was the best. I've never been in such a cool pedi chair before. My body melted in the chair with the way the chair was positioned and the chair massage was relaxing too. I will drive from Bakersfield to have my manicures and pedicures from now on. It is definitely worth the drive. Next time I will bring my boyfriend since there are two pedicure chairs. read more

I've been getting my eyelash extensions done by Michelle for 6 months now and I have left happy every time! Super amazing gal! The reassurance Michelle gave me before my first appointment made me continue to go ahead and see her. The fact that she knew where I was coming from with concerns and that she knew her stuff made it that much easier. I've done research before getting my lashes done. I've compared different girls and yes all estheticians have their own style but Michelle's seems to be more satisfying to my liking! I love not having to do so much make up and am always ready to go. My eyes have never burned from when she works on me (even when I snooze off for a min), and my lashes continue to look amazing after 2 weeks. She also does have colored lashes that she can add upon request. The salon itself is super cute on the inside! Very clean and roomy. The colors and decor inside are just so chic and girly. read more

I have never fallen asleep during a pedicure and was quite embarrassed when I woke up at the end of my pedicure! But I am 8 months pregnant and it was the most relaxing experience I've had all year! I love that Sarah uses essential oils in place of synthetic scents that give me migraines, and she even had alternatives to ones that I don't do well with. I will definitely be going back! read more
