She should not be doing brows! I went in to have powder brows done on 10/13. I communicated with her that I was self-conscious about my brows being uneven and would like that camouflaged; I didn't expect perfect symmetry, but I also didn't expect it to be made worse. Instead, she accentuated the uneven height of my brows by aligning the bottom of my higher brow just above the bottom of my natural brow line, and aligned the bottom of my lower brow just below my natural brow line. She also made the lower brow about 50% thicker at the arch. The outline from measurements which I approved did NOT follow what was done, and she did not show me the outline after she did the stencils - I am assuming this is when the problem would have been obvious. They were swollen & red immediately after finishing & she assured me the would look better & even out more when the swelling went down. Instead, I woke up the next morning and saw just how uneven they were. Now, for someone not self-conscious about this, it likely seems like not that big of a deal, but for me it really was. I immediately looked for how to contact her to ask what could be done. She did not provide a business card in the after care package, and it is not listed on her IG page, which is how I found her in the first place. I still can't remember her name. So, I sent her a message through IG. She didn't respond for 7 days - after I cancelled the followup appointment. In the meantime, I found someone in Bakersfield who knows what they're doing, immediately saw the problem, and was able to remove them for me. FYI, it has to be done within 48 hours for best results, is quite painful, and uses saline. When she finally did email me back, the only apology I received was for the delay in getting back to me. She said she didn't know how they could be removed. She proceeded to dismiss my concerns, blame me for the mistakes she made, and said not to contact her again. I had explained that all I wanted was an apology, and I wasn't asking for a refund of any kind. I also suggested including a business card in her aftercare instructions and having her customers sit up to check the outline. I provided several pictures showing the problems I had pointed out. I never cussed, name called, or was unprofessional in any way. That's not how you take care of unsatisfied customers.

After her long hair was becoming a pain my lady made an appointment to see Tiffany for her usual trim and perm. She had complications because Tiffany's crusty, low grade equipment (chair she had to sit in to wash her hair) wasn't able to accommodate older people. We finally accomplished that step and proceeded with the rest. As soon as we were out the door my client said it was cut way too short. I assured her it would grow fast and she insisted Tiffany forgot how she previously had it done because she didn't do it the same at all. The very next day the perm appeared to be slacking. I figured it was normal and we needed to take extra care of it, so we covered it in her loose fitting silk sleeping cap until the next day. Well, as the days went on it was apparent she didn't have a perm any longer. Just hair damage. Every single day after this Mrs. Lady would complain and cry how she wanted her hair to be curled! So I decide to call Tiffany because we shouldn't have to be dealing with this after we paid almost $100 to avoid it, by getting her a perm! So Tiffany proceeds to tell me her perm failed because she's on medication. I explain to her that none of the few medications she is on have hormones or any scalp affecting symptoms. They are very neutral and not of the FEW that can possibly have any influence on her dead hair. To my surprise she then says it failed because she couldn't reach the sink very well to rinse it out.. I then asked her "So it's because you couldn't rinse her hair?" She back peddled and said it was because her hair was too short. Then I said, "if you knew you had cut it that short, why did you continue with the perm? You are the professional" at which she got noticeably angry asking me what I expect her to do about it. I told her she was paid $90 to do a perm which failed, she should make it right. She then said she didn't want to talk to me, she wanted to talk to her daughter. I said her daughter doesn't live here & has nothing to do with this (i took her to the appointment so i dont feel its that far fetched that she talk to me). At that she said she does not want to talk to me and hangs up on me! I could not believe it! I was not rude to her! This woman is not a good business person. All the people that have been generous to this place and have left good reviews i suspect were only able to do so because they all have been lucky enough to not have a complicated service (like a perm apparently is!) that ran into any problems. I'm pretty confident that if others have had any kind of issue, she would reveal her true colors as she did with us. I can not recommend this business because her work is shoddy, she doesn't stand behind it and she shouldn't be doing business here when she treats her limited, fixed income, elderly clients so callously, after she steals their money for a service that was not performed correctly. Looking at her today, not even a month after the attempted perm, her hair doesn't even look serviced at all. And EVERY SINGLE DAY she complains about wanting her hair done. DONT GO TO TIFFANY'S Design if you want a quality perm that lasts.
