Really want to give this a 3.5 so please keep that in mind. My main Guitar Center for the first 25…read moreyears of my life is in Westbury Carle Place (and even at the location before they moved there). In comparison this location is very small but seems to be set up and organized to the best of the building lease can allow for. Staff here I haven't had any issues with nor have I really needed them. They encourage playing and trying things out but will get out of your way if that's what you want. They recently increased the hours on Saturday by an hour which is something I've wanted for about the last decade (thank you!). Here are my two serious dings that could so greatly improve this place. There are a lot of empty guitar racks on the wall. Maybe a sign of "great sales"; maybe a sign of mismanaging inventory... Here comes the compound effect though. What makes this even worse is the stock that is on the walls- I feel like it would be accurate to say about 35% are "scratch and dent" or guitars that are literally damaged (not marked as scratch and dent). Now I know this is out of GC's control to a degree but it's kind of embarrassing. Some of these guitars look like they were dropped down a full story of stairs or were hugged by a cheese grater and all for a measly 10% discount. I really want to root for GC and big box brick and mortars but they also seem to need some improvements to stay sustainable.

Save your sanity and go buy strings at Walmart!! Extremely slow and unknowledgeable sales team…read more Pushy sales manager that made me feel foolish for not buying insurance on a cheap tuner. They will lie through their teeth to get a sale. Guarantee you they know more about video games than instruments.

I'm glad I listened to my intuition because when I looked up, I saw a sign.. literally. In red and white letters it read "NY Music Garage" and below it a window decal which exclaimed "A Different Kind of Music Store." As soon as I walked in it was clear that those words were true. I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome. I had initially planned to just scope out their collection and perhaps jam, while getting to know the store, but with so many affordable goodies around, I just had to shop. The awesome fellas there helped me pick up a perfectly fitting guitar slide, a strap lock and even a homemade guitar-shaped cutting board!! It's made of walnut, shaped like a Les Paul and sealed in food-grade sealant... how cool is that?! They even had two other variations, a tele and and a strat. After all that shopping, I was ready to try some guitars. They kindly guided me to a private practice room, which had plenty of space to move around, several fun amps and phenomenal acoustics. Looking around the store, it was clear they carried an awesome collection of new, used and vintage axes... all at fair & reasonable prices too! I'm absolutely stoked with my haul and will definitely be back next time I'm out in Huntington! Thanks fellas!

It clips on the top of the neck, tunes to the vibration of each string, and each time I use my instrument, I fine tune it. Incredible. Previously my husband would help me do this with our piano. He'd play an E chord (three notes). He meant well!

In fact, he never made me feel like I was wasting his time at all. They had what I wanted in stock brand new. So from his kind assistance, I made the trip to their store. When I arrived he set me up to try a pedal out in their music room.. and again, I did not feel pressured at all. In fact, the man likes to talk about music and gear almost as much as I do, and it shows in his enthusiasm which I totally enjoyed! Highly recommended! Call first to see if he has in stock what you are looking for. I am super satisfied with my experience there! Thank you so much JG!!!

!!BEWARE!! Weiner…read moremusic is a SCAM Specifically ordered the old style Clark fobes barrel. They sent me the new version. I emailed them right after delivery about this and received no response, but on their website they updated the photo after my email. I called them and said I wanted the old barrel if you can check stock and if not available call me and set up a return. They falsely advertised the incorrect product, and blamed me for this. They deducted $9 for a cleaning fee of a barrel that was never used, and again the incorrect item. The people working the phones are morons and scammers. I utilized this place for years and referring my students to purchase equipment and instruments since 2015. And buying reeds while on broadway tours. That all ends NOW Take your business elsewhere. Photos below show my email complaint. The original photo on my invoice for the barrel I wanted (very blurry pic) and then the return invoice minus $9 with the updated new barrel (that I didn't want)
