The line is ridiculous and so not efficient. If customers are placing orders, they should be in a separate line than people purchasing supplies. During homecoming season, there should be five cash register people at all times. Standing in a line while people decide what to put on a mum is frustrating when all you need are a few ribbons and trinkets. I hope they figure out how to work smarter and not make it harder on their customers. read more

This store has everything to make garters and mums. My 10th grade niece needed a garter for her date so we stopped at Hobby Lobby and Michael's to pick up supplies. Michael's was expensive and barely anything. Hobby lobby's prices were better but didn't have much option either. On top of that people wiped our most inventory already. So desperate so went on Google and found this place. Should have gone here first because they have everything you need. We ended up spending roughly $50 on supplies. The lines are long on weekdays and weekends. Slow service because everything is manual and they're also short staff too. So just be patience with them. Definitely will come back if I need garters or mums for HOCO in the future. read more

They had most of what I needed. I had called to ask about a stapler and staples for it and was told they had both. When I arrived about 30-45 min. after that call I was told they were sold out. I did get told another shipment arrives soon and my name and number was taken down to hold one. Just expected it to be in stock from what I was told. Over all the store is organized and I loved how they have the bins for all the mum add ons, varying from ribbons for garters and mums and then accessories for each. Stickers were mixed up quite a bit but I did find what I needed quickly. I was helping another woman find a "Y", but they ended up having some extras in the back, so be sure and ask just in case if you can't locate a letter. Perhaps a closed case w/compartments and the letter showing on the outside for each one would help with keeping them in place. Very well could be the huge crowds at peek times and people not caring. Not too bad of a crowd when I went (Friday at noon). read more

FABULOUS store!! They have all the school color options, multiple sizes of mums, plenty of cutouts, colors, specific interests, boas, and small stuffed animals!! Be careful if you are ordering a mum or garter for someone that is not at your child's school. They go by HOCO date and not by when the order is placed. I placed an order extra early to ensure it was done, and the person helping me even highlighted and said it was for an earlier HOCO so I need by a certain date.. she told me it wouldn't be a problem. I even have a picture of where she wrote it on the form! Here we are over 10 days later, and I can't get a hold of anyone on the phone, and by email they tell me they can't guarantee it bc it's a different school. I had a friend order under the same circumstances after me, and it was done in 2 days. I guess it hurts you to plan ahead! I have bought probably 6-7 mums and garters over the years here and super disappointed that they say one thing to one customer and a different thing to another. Especially when you pay so much money! read more

BE WARNED - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE We were recommended to go here, and boy were we duped. Our daughter was told to quarantine due to contact tracing, and she will miss the HOCO game. We let the shop know, and asked for a refund. We were aware of the no refund policy, but due to the whole unforeseen 2020 mess, one would think policy was a little more flexible, especially since just about EVERY business has adapted (hotels, airlines, wedding facilities, etc.). You name it - and the company has adjusted to accommodate the consumer. Not this place. My wife reached out via email yesterday as soon as we found out about quarantine, and here was the response: I am sorry your order is already complete. We can attempt to sell it to someone else or you could still give it to her as a memento. If we sell it, we discount it by 30%. The mums are very nice but the customer service is really lacking. I couldn't get anyone on the phone so we went into the store physically and I asked for help from one of the representatives. She told me three times she would come back and help me. After an hour and 15 minutes and asking another person to help us, we left. I proceeded to put the order in online, just hoping it was what we needed since neither my son nor his homecoming date are originally from Texas. I marked the mum and garter to be delivered to the school. I received an email saying to come pick up the orders on Monday and I tried calling for a few hours (again no one answered) just because I wanted to confirm that they were indeed still going to be delivered to the school. We submitted an email question that didn't receive a response until the next day. We ended up driving all the way out to the store to pick them up just in case. When my husband picked up the mum and garter the lady working was very rude and condescending because he provided the order numbers separately. Again- we are doing this for the first time. I will definitely order elsewhere or make them myself next year. read more

The mums are nice, but the service is absolutely lacking and horrible. I've been here a few times because our district uses them and every year I've had something go wrong. They never answer their phones and half the time don't answer emails. When you go in and let them they know they say we are too busy...even if it a error on their part! If you shop here be very careful. read more

What can I say this is our second year having them custom make our daughters HOCO Mum. And Terry knocked it out of the park again!!! It is absolutely amazing!!! Let me first say that our visit ended with dealing with Kathy who was so caring and thoughtful. She is definitely an asset to this establishment. However, shortly after we arrived, we heard someone say, "do we have customers in here?" Within a few seconds, a woman rudely said, "Ma'am, we're not open". Granted this was during the week within their open hours and there was no sign on the door. She abruptly informed us that their cash registers weren't even up and running yet. I apologized and explained that I had looked online but didn't see anything showing they were closed. Had she been the only person we had encountered, I absolutely would not come back and give them my business. Even if I had to drive twice the amount of time to go to another shop, I would certainly do it. In conclusion, I'll give them another shot once they open for the season but if I run into her and she's hateful again, I'm leaving and we won't spend a dime. You don't speak to customers/clients like she did to us. read more

I've gotten a mum from here for two years, and the first year I had it it was perfect. This year however, they stacked all of my ribbons together to where you couldn't read any of them, & when i asked if there was any possible way to make the hidden ribbons legible, i was told no and that it will "probably be seen when i walk". compared to other mums mine was quite small so the fact that it couldn't be seen on mine, but it did on other mums with more ribbons wasn't really adding up. for the amount of money mums can be, i was shocked and disappointed. for the prices we pay, we should be able to read the ribbons with the words on them. read more

Two words - absolutely amazing. The fact that you can order a mum last minute on Tuesday the week of Homecoming and have it guaranteed to be ready by Thursday the same week is unimaginable. I just new I would be staying up all night to make a last minute mum when The Mum Shop saved the day.  The online ordering process is so easy, though I understand how it can be overwhelming to some. I was at the store at a pretty busy time, and a lady named Cathy helped me. She was amazing. She was with me over an hour helping me with an order. My son and date had previously bought the mum stuff thinking that I wanted to make it. Well, I am not crafty, so I came back up to the store for some help. Cathy went through everything that I had already bought and redid the order. She showed me some new things that they had received to help the mum look even better. We saw a picture of our finished mum via a friend that was at the store, I was concerned to see "Becoming" on the double loop ribbon instead of "Homecoming" so I contacted them right away (3 days before it was scheduled for pick up) and was assured it would be corrected. However today it was delivered to the school with the wrong wording still on it! It was also missing a spirit flag. While the rest of the school says "Homecoming" ours was made with "Becoming". So disappointed! Spent over $100 on it and ordered it weeks ago, only to have to scramble around to get it fixed, and pay more $$ the night before Homecoming! Store offered an $11 credit and told me they were surprised as no one had Becomings this year and to their knowledge they didn't make any this year. They made at least one! Sent pics as proof, I think we shouldve gotten back more than $11! read more
