The Mowery Group was hired in November 2025 to appraise rural RR1 property with 4.57 acres that my late brother had owned. It was a complicated property, and we wanted a thorough evaluation and estimate of its value at the time of my brother's passing. Don Mowery spent 90 or more minutes on the property where he measured, walked, photographed and evaluated the premises. He was on time, completely professional and easy to speak with. Although comparisons were difficult, which we knew ahead of time, he found 7 properties that had changed hands in recent years and that had similarities with the property at hand. For each comp, he provided a lot of data and also photographs. For my late brother's land, he provided a ton of information plus satellite and other views of the property I had not found on public sources. Don completed his review by mid-December, meeting all our expectations and more. read more

Took 3 months to get appraisal done when I was told it would take 2 weeks. Had to keep calling to finally get it done. Also so much more expensive than competitors. Would not recommend. read more

I am still waiting for my appraisal after being told it would be completed 2 weeks after the home inspection. It has now been almost a month and every time I call all I get is we are really busy and we will let you know when it is done. This is ridiculous how long does it take to feed a few comps into the computer after the inspection is already completed!! I would not recommend this service to anyone. I'm going to ask for a refund and start the process new with someone else. This is ridiculous!!! read more

Stay away from this place. Took 3 months to do the appraisal. I had to call over and over. The day before the court appearance I was told by their representative that I would have it for sure. It cost me attorneys fees plus set up a new court date because they did not have it in time. Then they rushed me an appraisal over 100,000 over the price of the property. Not taking into consideration the poor condition of the property but just going off a generic valuation of properties nearby which were in pristine condition. It cost us a lot of money hiring them. read more

Don and his team did an outstanding job selling my house. All communication and steps throughout the entire process were professional, punctual, informative, and friendly. From the very first meeting to the closing of escrow Don, McKenzie, and the team handled everything A-Z. Very happy working with this great group of people I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Worst service ever. I'm fully paid on an appraisal and was told 2 weeks for completed project. I have yet to receive my appraisal. I call and it's always another excuses, if they even answer. I send emails with no response. Save your money and go else where. This is absolutely unacceptable. read more

I absolutely recommend Don Mowery and his team. Don and his team went above and beyond to help me sell a property during my divorce litigation. He was professional and communicated with both parties, understanding the sensitivity and urgency of the sale. Don and his team were prompt in answering all my questions and kept me informed during the entire process. My real estate transaction required a great deal of knowledge and was not an easy sale to take on. Don persevered and got it done! Thank Mowery Group! You have been the easiest part of my divorce litigation! ~ Grateful Client, Cat read more

This guy is seriously such a crook. He'll tell you how 'neutral' he is while he'll let one side of a divorces attorney pay him the night before a trial to amend his appraisal of a home without having stepped foot in it for over 18 months. He'll also compare it to comps with built in pools. On the plus side if you're benefiting from these kind of actions he's your man but if you're on the 'I'm getting screwed end' he'll make sure you take it up the tail pipe. I seriously hope the fleas of a thousand camels infest his genitals and that his arms become too short to reach to scratch read more

I had the Mowery group perform an appraisal on my property April 11, 2022, for my divorce. They said it would take 4 weeks for the results. I contacted them May 6 and was informed I would have it that week (by the 11th). It is now May 18th I have recieved no appraisal or response from this company and they will not answer my calls. Guess I'll have to refi with someone else. It would appear I was duped for $500. read more

Last week I received three text messages from a nameless Mowery Group's Assistant that addressed me by my first name . The messages ask if I had found a property and if I wanted them to text me a few that were on the market. My response text included that I was not interested and ask if this was a sales person. I have yet to receive a response. I called the main number but the voicemail was full. This individual should have called to re-introduce themself and perhaps followed up with a text. I will never share my personal business with an Impersonal and nameless text messenger. The text number answers to the Mowery Group. I would love to have experienced the amazing service shared in the other reviews. read more

Don and McKenzie did an amazing job for us. We had many challenges starting from a rough divorce, a changing real estate market, neglected maintenance, and squatters hiding in the closet. They worked through all of it and got the house sold! read more

All I get is spam from these guys. I inquired about a property a few years back and kept getting the run around from different agents with this group. Once I gave them my info, all I got was spam in my email of other houses they are selling and spam texts. All I wanted was to see one property they were selling, and after numerous phone calls and voicemails between 3 or 4 agents in this company I decided to move on. I felt bad for whoever was selling that property because they were getting poor representation from this group. I had requested to be removed from their spam list and to this day i still get sent random spam texts or emails from time to time. read more

I have been in the title industry for 30 years and the real estate industry for another ten years. I have been going through a difficult divorce property settlement for the last 6 years. Many properties were involved. One was a commercial property and two residences. Thank goodness my attorney referred me to The Mowry Group, Don Mowry. He not only was spot on in his appraisals, he also assisted me and my attorney how commercial property is evaluated. Thus, he was able to clarify to my ex-husband the appraised valuation of the commercial property. Don actually saved me from having a long drawn out costly trial. He is the best in commercial and residential appraisers with his knowledge and fantastic staff. Jeff, his commercial appraiser is very thorough and knowledgeable in his ability to help companies looking for specialized commercial appraisals. This Mowry Group is " Heads above" any other company I have worked with and retained. read more

Don came out to give us an appraisal and some direction on what to work on to get ready to sell! He was very thorough both inside and out and professional. Pointing out safety requirements, remodeling, and redesigns that will help with our home's value. He has a lot of great insight and connections. His experience was valuable to help us make wise choices as we remodel. I would highly recommend Don to not only appraise, but list your home as well. read more

Don and his daughter Makenzie are snakes! If you're in a divorce, he is not neutral and will threaten you with court for asking questions that could threaten his personal financial gain! Although I was willing to buy my ex out of our house, Don made sure the price got significantly raised on me and undersold it to buyer that his daughter Makenzie never showed it to, even though he had me show my home to others close to 30 times! It was a game set up for him to establish bids, make it appear fair, had his daughter bring in a buyer under the value, ignored my bid that was $47k higher out of spite so he got a commission and made my daughter and I homeless for 6 months!!! Do not trust him! Opposing counsel wrote him positive reviews and he did the same for her, yet claims there is no kickback bonuses! I will never understand such greed as to contribute to purposefully disrupting someone's life and causing financial devastation to actually make them homeless and have the absolute nerve to send congratulation on the sale of your house texts, knowing you displaced a mother & daughter that were doing all they could to survive a horrific divorce! read more

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! Don Mowery just left my house minutes ago after doing a court ordered appraisal. Upon entering my home, he let the door slam behind him. And this recurred each time he exited or re-entered. My mother let him do his route around the house, as she was tending to another matter. He barged into my room, WITHOUT knocking or announcing himself, while I was working with SENSITIVE MATERIAL, UNPRESENTABLE, and had small animals roaming and snapped a picture of me and my room just as I turned around to see who had so rudely THROWN OPEN and KICKED my door. He left my room and I threw on a jacket to inform my mother of the ASSAULT I just received. And as I watched her ask him for clarification on a few details, he SPOKE OVER HER and DENIED her any opportunity to reply or ask further questions. I went to politely ask him to retake the picture of my room as I felt VIOLATED that I was in the image with NO warning a picture would be taken and SENSITIVE material potentially visible. He offered to crop me out. I insisted he retake it and give me a moment to clear my monitors of any work related content. I had less than 15 SECONDS to reach my room and attempt to start clearing all of my screens before he SLAMMED my door back open, BERATING me to hurry up and clear my screens, YELLING at me to "turn them off, turn them off, hurry up!" And when I said "excuse me?" to inform him he was being rude he SCREAMED at me "if you're going to make me go out of my way to retake a picture, then you'd better be ready by the time I get here!" After retaking the picture, he BOLTED out the door, and allowed the door to slam YET AGAIN. When confronted over the phone about his BLATANTLY DISRESPECTFUL ATTITUDE THAT LEFT ME IN TEARS, HE DARED TO DENY the door slamming, the verbal ABUSE, and the blatant HARASSMENT. He claimed he had knocked on my door and I had given him permission to enter. I had done NO SUCH THING. Due to the nature of my work, even my own FAMILY is required to knock. IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME, YOURSELF, YOUR MONEY, YOUR HOME AND BEING RESPECTED, I ADVISE YOU TO NOT USE THIS SERVICE AS THEY WILL NOT SHARE THOSE VALUES WITH YOU IN THE SLIGHTEST. read more

McKenzie was incredibly helpful! If you're looking to rent ask for her directly. A lot of the property management places I've called in Riverside don't want to bother with rentals, it means so much that Mowery Group will take the time to help. read more

Don and his team are outstanding! My home was on the market for almost a year due to the incompetency and tactics of the prior agent who happened to be my soon to be ex-wife's real estate partner! I tried to be "cooperative" in having the ex's partner and brokerage list the house...BIG mistake! The ex and her garbage attorney didn't want the house to sell and played all kinds of games to prevent and delay the sale. After multiple court appearances, Don Mowery was assigned as a 730 divorce specialist...thank God! He strategically overcame the BS associated with selling a house during a nasty divorce. He dealt with both attorneys and the ex with tact and professionalism. It didn't stop with Don. The entire staff were efficient, communicative, and professional in dealing with a difficult divorce transaction. Sara at New Destinations escrow and Dawn are just amazing... The sale of my home was stressful due to the ex and her scum lawyer doing all they could to prevent and delay the sale. As a 730 divorce expert, Don and his team quickly helped me get my home sold. I cant recommend him enough...especially if you are going through divorce. read more

My experience in having Mowery work for me was not good. He is the stereotypical salesman that is in it for his own gain and nothing else. I felt rushed and even harassed by him. He is argumentative and at the end of the long grueling process even tried tacking on costs that were his responsibility. I do not recommend using him. read more

The Mowery Group was wonderful to work. I worked with Don Mowery and another agent in his group, Dawn, when selling a property last year. They were very knowledgeable and responsive. They answered all my questions and made the process of selling my house much more pleasant. I thought they were fair in negotiation and very professional. I would highly recommend them and plan on working with them in the future! read more

I wish I would have read these reviews before accepting Don L. Mowery as the appraiser of my home for a family law case. He came to my house on October 21, 2018 and told me the appraisal would be done in one week. I paid him $500. Three weeks later I call his office and the receptionist tells me it takes 4 to 6 weeks to prepare the appraisal. I was not happy with that answer and asked to speak with Don. Don never returned my phone call. I called two other times in November and December again no courtesy call. My attorney finally received the appraisal on January 9, 2019. His business has absolutely no customer service. His delay did me no favors with my case. read more

The Mowery Group is a wonderful organization to work with to sell your house. I recently completed the sale of my house as part of my divorce. Don Mowery was an amazing professional throughout the process, from start to finish. His initial consultation helped to determine an estimated market value to allow us to get an idea of what the net proceeds of our house sale might be. We had some improvements that were necessary before the house could be put on the market. Don connected us with his handyman, Joe, who assessed the house and worked with Don to determine the "must do's" that would be most beneficial for the sale. Don had the improvements and repairs funded through the escrow so that no out of pocket costs were incurred by us. This was a great relief since we were still in the middle of divorce proceedings when we contracted with Don to handle the sale. The house looked amazing when it was placed on the market. Don did an awesome job making sure it was ready to go and marketed it well with beautiful pictures and successful open house events. His experience really showed throughout the entire process. I would use him again without hesitation. He rocks! Don's other staff are also amazing. His Service Coordinator, Dawn Salmons, was always super responsive and helpful throughout the process. She stayed on top of all the necessary paperwork and addressed any question I had. She helped me with selling some large items from the house by posting them on their website. She connected me with a fantastic guy named Rocky who helped me clear out the side yard, hauled away excess trash and unwanted items, and helped me move furniture several times. He's super friendly and helpful. I've used him for other tasks since the sale of the house as well. The escrow process went well. The Mowery Group partners with New Destinations Escrow for a comprehensive selling process. Christine Quintana was a pleasure to work with. She was very mindful of all the details related to our sale, including dealing with a living trust and a divorce settlement agreement. Overall, I would highly recommend The Mowery Group. They are an amazing real estate team with wonderful customer service! read more

I want to take a moment and post a review of our Real Estate agent Carie Knowles. She was amazing through our whole process from start to finish. I had heard about the Mowery group from a colleague who I'd went to school with, so went ahead and started the discussion about how to go about being a homeowner. Of course, being a first-time prospective homeowner, I had questions about every aspect of the process, and the Mowery Group answered every one of them, drawing from experience, and giving insight to how the process goes. Through each step of the process, I felt like I had a team in my corner to guide me through the labyrinthian process of buying a house for the first time. In the end, my family and I ended this process by getting the keys to our first home, and I heartily recommend the Mowery Group to anyone interested in Home Ownership. read more

Wow! The Mowery Group was Amazing. Don Mowery and his team listed our home in Murrieta and did an outstanding job from start to close. Don had a really good understanding of the local market and was able to get us well over asking price. The home was marketed exceptionally well, photos were professionally presented, including an interactive walk through and aerial photography that set our home apart from others in the area. We will definitely use him again the next time we are looking to buy or sell a home. Highly recommended! read more

Just sat in on a great presentation by Don Mowery. He really knows how to run a successful real estate practice!

Don and his group dealt with a very difficult situation I was in with class and professionalism, wish I could give more stars

Once my agent was to receive a double commission from the seller and the buyer she no longer seemed to represent my best interest and really pushed along the process so she could get her double commission. I never got a walk thru on my new property. I never was presented with keys. I never got an apology or admission of making any mistakes. I signed papers and was rushed along and my"expert realtor" did not explain properly to me much of anything which ended up costing me thousands of dollars. After the owner got involved and try to clean up the mess he informed me that "we do not really have to get involved at this point, we have done what we are suppose to do - this is just good customer service." when they made promises that could not be kept to both parties.
