I HIGHLY recommend doing a three-session intro pack and learning all about how Pilates can help you.

Everyone made me feel welcome, and the training is extremely effective. It doesn't take long in the entry level Skills Lab to build striking and ground skills that are designed for someone who might really need to use them - in the cage, or on the street. The classes are fast-paced and I always end up getting a great workout almost without realizing it. The Art is definitely a fusion - Muay Thai, BJJ, Wrestling, Boxing, Catch, Silat, Kali come in to play (to name a few.) I love the Sila Yoga. The Dojo is the only place in the US you can learn it, and it is so different from any other style of yoga I've tried! It definitely builds strength as well as flexibility, and I love the way it uses the animal movements and postures. These guys do a lot of outdoor training too, and classes at the park or seminars in the mountains have been some of my favorite training here. Last but not least, The Dojo is the regional training center for C.O.B.R.A. Self-Defense Systems. C.O.B.R.A Self Defense's scenario based and police academy style training really set it apart as far as effectiveness and how simple it is to apply for anyone. It's so important to have a real, tested self defense program that any age or experience level can really use when they need it. Highly recommend!

Waiting for a serious surgery I was looking for a community that could inspire me to hold faith for a better life. Kate welcomed me into the community with open arms and gave me the option of trading services for classes because I was unable to work and had little income at the time. I started by attending yin yoga classes and being a spectator at aerial events... Watching what others were able to achieve gave me the strength and support I needed to mentally and physically make it through a very trying time until I was able to have the surgery I'd been waiting for. After surgery I went back to classes and worked my way back to fully enjoy my body and life again. Attending classes, events and volunteering at Live Beyond Limit as well as my relationship with Kate took me in one year from not being able to see my self worth or recognize much reason for continuing my then difficult life to fully embracing and embodying the wonderfu, dynamic and successful person that I am and have always been. There are few words that can express my profound gratitude for this studio, the peace, joy, acceptance and love that is freely given by the teachers, performers, students, Kate and the community she facilitates. Wherever you are in your journey through life, trauma, recovery or simply looking for new avenues of self expression and evolution Kate and the team at Live Beyond Limit are likely to be the best solution for meeting you where you're at and giving you a path to the next level.

Kate Laviolette is one of the most greediest peopoe I've ever met. Also, she never paid me for what…read moremy small fox painting had sold for. She held onto it for me because I didn't have anywhere to put it since I was sleeping out of my car at the time. She said someone bought it, but she never paid me for it, so who knows what happened. A few years ago, I would regularly go to classes and it was enjoyable. There were a couple experiences where it gave me a uncomfortable feeling about her. We did a hiking session together. Nobody showed up but me, so she and I went. I thought it was nice, but noticed that when she wanted to take a picture with me, it was just for her socials so her image would look good. Then not too long after that, there was a art event at the studio which I paid and went to. I figured it was just an art show but there was more to it. At the time, I struggled a lot more when it came to crowds. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone, have fun, and to see what it was all about. I brought my sketch book to draw and I also joined in the audience to watch the aerial show (I think it was) even though I thought it was an art show. I got intense anxiety and overwhelm (probably from the energy from being in a crowd or certain people), so I left and cried in the car. I had texted Kate and told her what happened, but she didn't care. Kept my money too. Was only there for 15 or 20 minutes. So overall, these experiences showed me how greedy and fake she was. I start going back in November because I'm getting back into shape and I wanted to try the aerial classes again, but I can't afford very much, so I go with the 5 class plan for $59. My mom is the one that even helped me and I told her that. I completed the classes (except for one which I was not feeling that day, but I already showed up, so no sense in trying to get another class). I was not planning on going again (a couple of people including an instructor found that out by asking me questions) because I wanted to continue at a gym since my main focus ended up being working out/exercising. The gym is what is beneficial for me. I felt aerial yoga wasn't. Besides this reason, I didn't feel fully welcome and the instructors were not patient (my coordination is poor) except for one, but I forgot her name, I'm sorry. I came to find this past Tuesday night that my account was charged by the studio and my account was at 97 cents. I texted Kate personally. You can see the whole conversation plus more in the screenshot photos for yourselves. Which includes her trying to offer a partial refund through Venmo which is outside of her business. If she can offer that, then she could've just given me my refund. Acted fake by throwing in "we've enjoyed having you here" to again be careful as a business owner and her reputation. I emailed her because I kept checking my account on the studio website, since it kept saying my plan wasn't canceled yet and it had already been a whole day. So I told her to close my account and to refund me, or I'm going to report her and THEN she finally decided to cancel it. She also told me she would refund my original payment, but she only did a partial refund of $38 out of $59. She lied and is clearly greedy. Making it into a whole complex mess, when it couldve just been played out smoothly. She blocked me after I told her to not respond back to my text or she did after my email, I'm not sure, but I'll be spreading all this information around everywhere. I made a post about it on my Facebook and someone mentioned that they've heard of this situation happening a lot at this studio and what happened to one of their clients, so that didn't surprise me.

I can't say enough good things about Jordan, Caleb, Thomas, Ryan and Riley. All the other coaches seem great too, but those are the ones I and my son interacted with the most. My teenager really enjoyed the classes--learning to push himself, develop new skills, and eventually, as he got into the adult classes, sparing. I wasn't interested in sparing or rising the ranks--which there is a lot of opportunity to do at McMahon. For me, however, it was more about physical fitness and trying something out of my comfort zone, and I was welcomed just the same. I really appreciate that they take students at whatever place they are and foster an environment open to all varieties of goals and abilities. There is also a growing women's group that's very welcoming and inclusive. Overall, a great place!

Phenomenal gym, totally worth the drive from Boulder! In an area rich w/ great climbing gyms,…read moreWhetstone stands at (or at least extremely near) the top. Great route setting in both the expansive bouldering area and big walls. Only two critiques: the bouldering mats are a bit stiff, I found myself downclimbing more often than not. Also, the lack of auto belays. If you're a solo climber, your only real options are the bouldering area and 2 auto belays that are situated right next to each other. For a gym of this scale, I would expect between 6-8 auto belays.

Pros : -Climbing options were good. There are a large variety of ropes to choose from. -There are 4 autobelay options I believe -There is also a lead climbing area. -Of course there is also a bouldering area which seemed like quite a few choices, but they were busy working on it today so there was not much of it open to use. -They have some sinks out by the climbing wall so you can go wash your hands and not have to take off all your gear in order to wash your hands. Cons: -Price! holy smokes $46 for me and my daughter climb for 2 hours. Yikes!!! this is more than i pay for my gym membership for my entire family for a month......... That does not include gear rental either as we have our own so we didn't need any of theirs. If you want or need gear it will be more. -You will need to fill out the waiver upon entering not a big deal but their ipad system makes it a little tough to get through. -If you want to do more than bouldering you will need to take a test for top rope and also watch a video for autobelay. Okay fairly standard. However, they failed to mention until after I paid that 1. they were working on the bouldering wall so not much available there. 2. The guy couldn't leave the front desk and no one else was available so can't do the auto belay training either If a good chunk of things are not going to be an option and obviously we are not a regular maybe make sure you let people know BEFORE they pay. We did do the top ropes test. It will take between 5-15 minutes depending on you. I just felt jipped because we did not have the option of using anything and I paid what I felt like was a LOT of money! They could have at least told me upfront that hey you wont be able to use the auto belay and a lot of our bouldering is tore up so probably can't use a lot of that either. I may have made a different decision and went elsewhere. Anyhow. I guess my impression from last time 2 years ago about to this time was not much different.

We all have stresses in our lives and it's nice to have a healthy outlet to choose. All of the classes that I've attended, at both the fort Collins locations and Loveland locations, have been exactly what I'm looking for. Challenging yet very relaxing and calming. time is spent focusing on proper breathing and learning different breathing techniques, like how to slow your breath down in times of high anxiety. I don't know much about the children's classes offered but I did notice that there are many different varieties of classes when I was checking out the schedule. Including a youth class! I like the idea of family yoga as well. Maybe one day I can share a yoga class with my mom! Prices are affordable and very manageable too.
