I have been a dog dad of Whitneys Aussies since Jan 19. Bridgette was my first Aussie and 2nd dog ever. Winter joined us in April of 20. I absolutely love the breed and can absolutely vouch for Whitneys dogs and work. Whitney has been there for us, Bridgette and Winter every step of the way. I have had to contact her for even the most noob questions and she has never ignored us or her dogs. Whitney has dedicated her life to these dogs and it is obvious when they see her again. Early on, we always wondered if Bridgette and Winter would ever love us as much as they love Whitney and her daughters. I treat these dogs like if they were my children. I have gotten two female dogs from Whitney. I have been with Whitney for two years now. The reviews I am reading seem extremely ridiculous. I have gotten dogs from other breeders over the years, but never have I ever seen a breeder put SO much into her dogs. I truly respect Whitney just from that aspect. Neither of my dogs are aggressive dogs (and they are mom dogs). I have been around many of the mom and even dad dogs and I have never witnessed any aggression. I am actually amazed how mild mannered Australian shepherds are! Regardless, yes there are rules that Whitney puts in place, but it's because it's what she has to do for the health of her puppies and family. If you want to buy a puppy and know that the breeder truly cares about the dogs and does this humanely, Whitney is hands down the person to buy from. Buyer Beware! Do not buy a puppy from here. My daughter purchased as "mini" Australian Shepherd puppy (10 weeks old) from Whitney Charisma on July 21, 2019. We were told she was a "mellow" dog and a "mini." Yet when we took her (we had to meet in a church parking lot as Whitney didn't want us coming to her home), she appeared drugged and would barely keep her head up for the drive home. It took two days gfor "Juno" to wake up so to speak, then she became extremely aggressive, biting (not playfully), and acting crazy. We brought another puppy (mine) home three days later and Juno aggressively bit the other mini puppy several times and even tried to bite the Vet. This is very odd behavior for a puppy (I've had three Aussies). We tried to send her back but Whitney refused. Apparently, Juno had been separated from her litter for some reason with another breeder hours away holding rest. Why? Since we had to keep her, we have spent $ and time trying to train her and yet she is still out of control. Whitney also refused our request to see a picture of her parents to see how big she will get...she's already almost 27 lbs and only 5 months old. The trainer doesn't believe she is a mini! So we were lied to about several things. I have dealt with countless Aussie breeders over the years and have never encountered such a bad breeder. read more

Our family bought a mini Aussie red from Whitney. I couldn't ask for a better puppy. He was worth paying a little more for his amazing blue eyes and temperament with my kids. He is super smart and even our vet complimented on what an amazing bred puppy. I randomly found the website and went with my gut feeling and reserved a puppy not. Best decision ever. I purchased a puppy from Whitney after a referral from a friend. I did my research, shopped around, and read reviews on every single breeder I considered. I'm so thankful I didn't listen to the negative reviews here! I absolutely love my pup Shelby and can't imagine having another dog. Whitney works with all her dogs and puppies she sells. She pays close attention to every aspect of their health and temperament. She's also been very helpful when I have a question. Worst Purchase we've ever made!! Don't buy from Whitney at Mini Aussie Company. First off, we only purchased a puppy from her because she was the only breeder in FL that had the size female we were looking for . She said,"Pearl," the name Whitney called her, was going to be at most 20-22 lbs since her parents were 18 lbs. We wanted her small so she could travel with us everywhere. We even spent an extra $1,000 to buy from her to get that size. Other breeders are $1,000-$1,500 less. She is over 35 pounds now and we never received her paperwork so who knows if Whitney was lying about her parents' size. That's not even why we're mad. The first three months we had our puppy, she was sick and the vet said she must have caught kennel cough from the breeder's house. That was just the beginning of the money spent on this dog. We socialized her from the very beginning with dogs and people once the vet said she was okay to and she has the worst temperament of any dog I have ever met. We spent over $3,000 on training her including a stay with a trainer who trains Navy Seal dogs for over a month. I continue to train her daily. She'll lick you one minute and bite you 1 minute later. She attacks our other Aussie daily. People call her Cujo and we can't have people over because they're scared of her. We know Aussies and have had four so we know the commitment it is to have an Aussie. Our dog hates people and if they come in the house she will attack them. We have never met an Aussie like this. If we could do it over, we would never have purchased a puppy from Whitney and strongly advise everyone else no to as well. The vet has now prescribed her medicine because she thinks she is bipolar. I never walk her under 8 miles a day and she goes to both the dog park and beach daily to run. She has the best life but something is seriously wrong with her genetics. No wonder we couldn't meet Whitney's other dogs at her house and had to meet at a Home Depot for pickup. I, like the other two reviewers, had a bad experience with Whitney. Fortunately I cancelled my purchase before I got the puppy. My issue was with the lack of information regarding the parents of the pup I had chosen. I asked her 4 separate times about the parents. I don't think it's unreasonable to know the lineage and pedigree info of the parents. In fact, I think all other breeders willingly inform potential buyers. The first time I asked about the parents I was told by Whitney to "remind her later in the week to send the info". When I requested the info again later that week, I was told that the info "was at home and she didn't have it with her". At this point I was getting a little suspicious and annoyed so I asked to just get their names so I could look at their pictures on her website. She then said that the website was not up to date as far as the parents go. Then on the 4th and final request, she sent an email with two pictures saying that she usually does not give out pedigree information. I was somewhat satisfied as the parents were very pretty dogs and good sizes. But then, after her next litter was born, she posted a picture of the father of this new litter and it was the same picture she has sent me but it had a different name. At this point I started looking around online and found that whiney has several aliases, not just married/maiden name changes but at least 4 different last names. She also has several failed businesses and her nursing license was expired. Which is weird considering she claims several times on her puppy bible page that she is a very busy 9-5 nurse. Anyway I decided to cancel my order and I will say that she returned my $2100 since I had not received the pup. The $500 deposit was non-refundable and I was aware of this. Speaking of the puppy bible page, it's kinda weird that she writes the whole thing sort of yelling at prospective buyers, saying don't ask this and don't do that because I'm warning you etc etc. That would be like walking in to any retail store and having them hand you a list of rules about whether you can ask about the products and when they will be allowing those questions. Having said that, I understand everyone has a right to run their business the way they want to and nobody is forcing you to purchase from them. Did application intake with Whitney and asked her about these reviews. She says she has no idea what I'm talking about. Strange because this yelp page is first website that shows up from google search of "Mini Aussie Company." I gave her my specifications of what I was looking for but stated I would simply appreciate if she would let me know if a dog I end up reserving ends up aggressive. I also included the link to these reviews. Instead of giving me her side of the story or simply saying "yes I will let you know" she denied my application and said I need to reach out to several previous buyers that she follows so that I am more comfortable with her before she accepts me. Her long list of rules, not allowing anyone meet her puppies before spending 2-3k and pretending she has never heard of these reviews is making run far away. Buyer beware. read more

I purchased an aussie from Whitney back in 2019 and never thought to read the reviews as I thought it was just bad luck. A friend interested in an aussie told me she found these so I wanted to add my similar experience. Throughout the entire waiting time, I received 2 photos of my aussie. She was hard to keep in contact with and never answered any of my texts asking for updates. I socialized my aussie as soon as he could have his shots but he was always scared of people and at around 6 months his fear turned into reactive behavior. I reached out to Whitney asking if she had seen any of this behavior in her other dogs and was told no and it was a "socialization issue". I also asked more than 5 times for pictures of his mother and was ignored each time. He is now 3 years and has been through several trainers with no change. I avoid taking him places and bringing people to my house at the fear that he will bite someone. Like someone else mentioned, he will be licking someone one second and then aggressively attacking them the next. I'm at a loss for how to fix this behavior but if I could go back I would not buy an aussie from this company or her newly changed company name of "I HEART MINI AUSSIES ORLANDO" read more
