While I want to support local businesses, the noise levels coming from this club on weeknights have become ridiculous. I live in the adjacent building, and the bass is so loud it vibrates through our unit, making it impossible to sleep. Despite city quiet hours beginning at 10 PM on weekdays, the volume remains excessive. Warning! Ask for a receipt! We ordered bottle service and the total seemed high based on the price of the bottle. I asked the waitress twice if tip as included and she said No. When I went to sign I asked her why the percentages for tip were so low (7%, 5% or 1%) she flat out lied and said "I don't know the machine" Guess what? It used to be called Transit night club. I wasn't really a customer but I was a Policeman and it was on my beat. A few warnings. First off dont leave valuables in your parked cars. They break into them all the time, most of all if you park on Fulton, Loomis, or Laflin str's. They love to steal woman's purses, I remember dozens of purses strewn in the alleys on the ground. Be aware there were always a lot of fights there, most of all at closing times. It was like "Fight Club" and security was very heavy handed with those big K-light flash lights. Great music and vibes. Main dance floor is huge and is crowed. Smaller dance floor is a bit too small to just vibes due to people waking past but the music choices are goood. Just a side note and a little background to the night. It was 10 degrees outside but with the wind it was about 0 and my friends and I had ordered Ubers. When I arrived with my friends, my friend had a cup in her hand as we were drinking prior. A bouncer/security guard immediately started yelling at her to throw the cup out. Mind you, she was across the street so she couldn't hear anything with all the noise and Metra passing by. He then proceeded to yell again and when she got closer she was confused and asked if she should dump out the cup to which the worker got aggressive and started saying "I told you to fucking throw it out." and told the other bouncers to not let us in. We asked why and he said "I told you three times to throw it out" even though those three times he was shouting at her across the street. We told him she couldn't hear and that she is also from Paraguay and doesn't speak much English to which he only told her in Spanish that she wasn't able to come in and says "There I said Spanish" but it was only that she couldn't come in... We were waiting in the cold and forced to get another Uber to somewhere else but we were fortunately let inside as someone in my group knew the manager. Later on in the night, the crowd got so bad that almost everyone was sloppy drunk and pushing people/falling over people and Security didn't give a shit. Later, we found out that one of my friends was drink was spiked and she became very intoxicated and almost unresponsive after having one MIXED drink and she is a frequent drinker. We tried to get her water to which we were denied by staff and told to get out. Its fucked up to deny someone of WATER and whoever did that should be ashamed. Overall the night experience was mid and the beginning left a bad taste in my mouth especially when we had a table reserved for a birthday and the table was a tiny corner table that was already surrounded by other people. read more

I know this place has a lot of bad reviews but I have been coming here for few years now and always have a good time, I like the fact that it has 3 pistas de baile,enough space for you to dance. One thing I did wanted to mentioned is that they need to be more reasonable about dress code. For example they didn't let one of friends get it because he had Timberlands boots, hour later I try it myself,(similar shoes) went right in no questions ask or trouble, then my guy try again and same, they told him again, no boots were allowed. Long story short: My girlfriend and I went in on February 8th to dance. We weren't drinking. However, my girlfriend got thirsty so I bought her an overpriced $5 bottle of water - or so I thought. I checked my bank 2 days later and saw the bartender charged me $85 for that bottle of water. I got in contact with Amy, the manager, on February 12th and she's been stringing this situation along giving me excuses left and right. All I needed was a picture of the receipt that showed I paid $5, which she verified on the phone. But for some reason, something always comes up whenever she says she's actually going to send me the proof. Moral of the story: be careful paying with your debit card. I went yesterday for the Halloween party dressed as an ANGEL, and although had a VIP table under a friend, was told to go to the BACK of their 70 person line! RACIST BOUNCERS wouldn't let me and my three black friends in the club on my birthday back in June. They let my Latina friend walk right in and me and my black friends were a few steps behind her they stopped us and said it was bottle service only and a $2000 minimum. I said you just let her walk in he said oh she's with a party I'm like no she's not she's with us and he then escorted her back out as she was standing on the inside of the rope waiting for us to walk in. This is a great club if you love latinx and top 40 music! I honestly came here years ago once when it was named Transit and I was unimpressed. I gave it another try just recently under this new name and I actually have so much fun here now lol. There's two rooms and the dance floor is spacious! The drinks are great. They're regular downtown Chicago Prices, however they are strong so it's worth it! Usually I get vodka mixers and they're $10, sometimes $12 depending on which bar in the club u go to. The dress code is lenient; I've seen girls in sandals and I've seen some in heels and guys in gym shoes and dress shoes so it's nice The Mine is flexible with that. The vibe is just super fun and my friends and I are happy we gave it another chance. We came for their birthday and have been coming here ever since. P.S They have Latinx artists come here like Xtreme, some reggaetón artists too, and girls are usually free with the text or ticket so that's always great! read more

I spent my 21st at the Mine recently and It was the best time! So far Ive gone there twice. The bathrooms are clean, the bartenders are very friendly and nice, the security are nice and do their job quickly and efficiently. The music is great if you like latin music! Theres valet parking (for $15, I believe) but other than that there is street parking as well. Drinks are about $10-$15, to enter its about $20 but ladies can text a number to get a code to get in for free OR there are tickets that are sold for a discounted rate but they go fast. Great place to have a good time! Try it out! read more
